Yah the giant QoT and her assets you see posted everywhere are marketing. Ingame she looks like 4 beetles carrying a flower. At the center of the flower is a tiny lil semi-nude female figure, but you have to zoom in way too close to play to get properly offended. ^^ You should be safe.

Good call, transitive - looking at how upgrades scale is really key. So level 1 gold upgrade is most cost-effective on small teams but higher levels might be very useful on large teams. I added a Citadel Upgrades section and put all that in there. Revenance, no toes stepped on, and if you find any more useful links feel free to put them in. [e digicons][/e] Anyone have the link to TBO's Economy post? What about the collected GamesReplay
hmmm, sorry for the confusion, I'll try to break it down. 1. Minions (Spirits, Yetis, Siege Archers, Bishops, etc), when killed, give neither gold nor xp 2. Grunts (minos, archers, anything that comes out of a portal) when killed, give gold and xp. According to my information they give gold based on 25% damage done, and xp within 30 meters range. So if you are at your crystal and your minion (Spirit) is way out at the Celerity Flag and kills or
I'm almost positive, though we tested this before the weekend so it's possible the drunken haze skewed the results in my head ^^ As I recall Micah (playing Erebus) was getting gold income from kills made by his minions from across the map. He had no other gold income at that time because I had control of all the gold mines. I wasn't around for this part but apparently later Micah found numbers to back up the % damage = gold for kill formula. The number I heard was
I find when I play a general, especially a low DPS general like Queen of Thorns and cast a lot of minionsI have a really hard time getting gold. The minions take all my kills. I get XP for them of course, but Gold is really slow.
You get gold for your minion kills. If the income seems slow it's because grunts yield truly paltry gold until priests (even then you have to kill 10 waves to get more than 1k gold). If econ is an issue you'd be better off farming
Some more Game Modes for yah - 9ball - just like the Billiards game - you have to kill enemy Dgs in a given order to win. You'd have to balance the urge to protect your first allied target with the need to kill your enemy target and level up. Camping your crystal wouldn't work very well, either, because when the enemy finally did reach you they'd be so much higher in levels they'd 2 hit you. Could be pretty interesting. Chess - Kill the designated King
When you stun someone they become immune to stun effects for a period of time. This is to prevent stunlocking an opponent in place for an instant, easy kill. When you slow someone the slows can only stack to a cap (33% I think?) But we never really looked at this when it comes to buffs. When you shield someone they should become immune to shield effects for a period. When you do anything to someone that provides a direct buff or debuff it should either be cappe
@ Annatar - I'd probably focus CTF on the Prison, Cataract, and Leviathan maps. 1. The flag replaces the Valor Flag on these maps, which while protected is accessible at level 5 or so 2. Citadel upgrades will remain important in all sorts of ways. For example you will want to upgrade your grunts because you can use them to cover your retreat, you will want to upgrade your tower offense to mess up any carriers who come close, and we *finally* have an applicati
you won't even give a straight answer to the question i asked you. you said there was another thread about it, can you at least provide a link? jeez, not trying to attack you just wanna know wtf you're even talking about.
http://forums.demigodthegame.com/348067/page/1/#2155544 @ Agent - Your opponent probably bought cheap armor to start and had Furious Blade favor item or similar. They planned to have this in at some point but I guess it got taken out :/ I've been asking for it though...Would be way cool...
Beyond Netcode - You'll recognize a lot of these from Beta - we haven't stopped wanting them, only difference is now a bunch of people think we were terrible Beta Testers for not getting them into the Release version ^^ 1. A Surrender Button 2. Organized Team/Clan Support - I know it's in the works, but part of this is allowing people to make custom, ranked, ladder games themselves . You are removing C
A gameplay limitation I could understand, but not an engine limitation
It's an engine limitation having to do with ranged units. The projectile physics system can't recognize three dimensions so an archer will auto-attack through a cliff/mountain. For multi-tiered maps to work you'd need to take out the ranged units or make the levels far enough apart than a unit on one level could never be in range of a unit on another level.
if you hit enter it will pop up the previous chat as well as your reply screen. I have definitely been killed for typing at the wrong time before but it's necessary to talk when deciding how your team will play. When they introduce native VoIP it will be a grand day
It depends - If QoT has an ally with more survivability than her (i.e. a Tank Rook, a Heal Sedna) then focus your damage on her - the shield will overload eventually and then she crumples. If QoT is allied with someone like a DPS Reg or TB then focus on them, after they are dead you can sweep her up. If she kites like she should then you have to get close and deliver overwhelming damage after the shield comes down. Use regular attacks on the shield and save your nuke

I think we are getting confused on terms here: Idol summons like monks and siege archers, as well as unique summons like Yetis and Spirits, provide neither gold nor xp when killed. Portal grunts like minotaurs, archers, priests, angels, and catapultasaurs provide both xp and gold when killed. Minions vs Grunts/Creeps/Reinforcements : No XP/Gold vs XP/Gold
Minions give neither gold nor xp when killed. However on the subject of giving your enemies a leg up, upgrading your grunt stream to priests early can sometimes be considered throwing your enemy free xp and gold, since the waves are still easily killed and priests give alot more gold and xp than archers or minos do. The only map where I'd consider the early upgrade would be Crucible... If you don't feel like burst-upgrading to catas then invest in a couple of level
Chat works fine. Hit Enter to pull up Allied Chat and Shift-Enter to pull up General Chat. You can tell if someone is human because when you pull up the score menu (Tab) they will have a ping higher than 0. Any players who have 0 ping will be AI. Chat is important and people should use it - also useful is the Ping function (P) which will point to whatever spot your cursor is touching.
I'll put a section in on Cit upgrades in a bit - right now on organized teams it seems like people focus on the xp upgrades, the first gold upgrade, 1st tower hp (if needed), and burst to catas, then fill in grunt armor and damage...Anyone doing anything different? @liq3 - see if your results show that percentage of damage yields grunt gold - we tested and you definitely don't need the killing blow...We tested on Crucible map with weak towers. The gold mines are all outside the
You do get gold as long as your minions do at least 25% of the damage to a given grunt. You will not get xp unless you are within range of the kill (30 meters). If your minions kill a DG anywhere on the map you will get full gold and xp for the kill.
@ Frank - OK but think about how much health that is...If your DG has 5k health at level 10 that's 750 HP every 10 seconds...It's pretty good. Also Bishops have *alot* more survivability than Monks. For 2700g can you think of a better item or upgrade than this one?
Many people don't know how to play as or against Generals yet. Give it a couple of weeks and we'll see plenty of OMG Minions OP posts... Until yesterday the only minions I was using on Oak were priests. Caldur showed me the hard way that it's all about the siege archers ^^ If you read this, Caldur, we should re oakduel sometime soon ;)
4. How big is the XP range? (where you still get XP from enemies getting killed)
The range is 30 meters. As an example, Oak's Penitence has a range of 15 meters, so you can be pretty far away and still get xp...
