So I added a section on minion micro - I'd welcome any further insight on this, and I think if everyone played minions tightly then we'd start seeing "Nerf QoT!!" threads I'll bring in some tips of overall mode strats when someone gives me some, right now I'm typing blind :P Thanks

You don't need the Wyrmskin either Not sure how this slipped through the cracks but when you get the perfect 3M storm on an opponent they look like they are running through molasses
thanks Frogboy, couple things - 1. Seeing massive slowdon/freeze when victory conditions are met - can take 2 minutes for endgame stats screen to pop up. This is for all players in a given game 2. I wanted to make sure you guys saw that Reg's mines could explode infinitely in the last Beta (previous to this one) because that will break the game THanks Kestrel
Are you sure it didn't hit one of your teammates?
I'm positive - the sniper was like "did you just dodge my snipe? :O" I dodged by moving directly behind the reg who was in snipe position (he never should have tried to snipe me from 10 feet away) The homing I'm used to, the missing I've never seen except when it shows as a glitch..
Lol sorry Micah - I figure no one is paying attention to this thread anyway, but word will get out eventually and QoT needs some love, seriously, no one plays her - you should post a guide so I can play with Bramble Shield backup again even if you aren't around ^^
Strategies - I thought I'd expand on this section a bit in relation to specific game types - the problem is that I don't really play alot of games that aren't Conquest...Anybody have any really general thoughts on things you do differently in Domination, Slaughter, and Fortress? And if you want to share easily avoidable mistakes you see players make in other game types that'd be great. Also I'm looking at expanding the micro section in relation to minions. I've been pr
So I dodged Snipe the other day. I'm not talking about the Snipe glitch where it hangs in midair or does a few barrel rolls because it can't figure out how to hit Rook. I'm talking about a straight dodge where I moved out of line-of-fire, the shot missed, and kept going. Anybody else encountered this? Please God, replays
I think it's cool that you are establishing team builds here. I don't know if I would use such a static build against a good team but then I haven't tried it... On Cataract it works if you keep the lane strategy loose - if you really need to have something ready beforehand then assign two lane pushers and a mid sweeper who can swing to either side. All three players are ready with ports to suppress a strong push but by keeping it loose you can swing the dominant
Reg's range is not very useful for anything other than towers anyway. Your statement that he already gets some kind of huge advantage from having range in terms of killing creeps and DGs is just silly. Pretty much everybody who has looked at heavy use of range on Reg has concluded that its not that big a deal and you should be pumping attack speed or mines over range every day because the added bit of range just doesnt get you much.
I can see a game with three or more Demigods per side doing an All Father's Ring rush. Three players save up 10K gold, and two of them buy Godplate. They give 'em to player three, who sells them. With the 16K he gets from selling the Godplates combined with his own 10K, he's got enough for a Ring with 1K to spare.
we talked about this some in Decemb
Hang in there Wagnard - we'll keep the game warm for you [e digicons][/e]
yah layering and weaving - so nice...more of these mechanics incorporated please. Also CTF and Horde mode [e digicons]:inlove:[/e]
lol this thread...seriously...Extacide vs and his main point is actually perfect but he just has to throw the twist in so you keep replying to a dead issue...We haven't played on a tournament level for long enough or in enough numbers to clearly establish class imbalances. Probably still a good month away from that, especially since they took organized team play out of stat rankings...By tourney 10 we should have a rough idea of what works and even there the furthest I'll predict will b
I think this is wishful thinking, as Frogboy said in another post on this forum that 12 demigods would be enough. Two of them are are already know and are almost complete, so we will have only 2 demigods left in the far future...He also said that he wishes this game would stay away from DOTA. This was a very disappointing, to say at least. I had high hopes for the future of this game, now it's almost dead in my eyes.
1. The nice thing about Frogboy, ST
Last week I had a crazy, amazing game. 2 v 2 Domination on Cataract, 10,000 point limit - I'm playing a mines Reg and my ally is Oak, but neither of us are communication or working very well together. The other team has some experience and basic teamwork so they take an early lead in flags and keep it. When the score is around 8,000 (them) to 4,500 (us) and they have central map control I say GG in chat, figuring we can't possibly make up the difference. And the
Mechanics Abilities - With the idea that mechanics we are missing could be made up in DG abilities - balancing these would be tough but gameplay would get pretty deep - upgrade items - upgrade buildings So a DG like "The Smith" can combine two items + gold + warscore for you to create a custom item, or can upgrade a given building to deliver more damage or have higher health, etc. These would be skills earned by level
I haven't touched it for a bit, but here: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/347388 Some useful links you might want to add at the bottom, too Thanks, Kestrel
PS Are the stats gonna be reset when pantheon is fixed?
Please Not worth tracking stats if the first three weeks you track them are wrong...
Terror! What are you doing, man? Some fun times.. Catch you on the rebound
Just to underline - When you are playing Domination - cap and hold flags. When you are playing Fortress - destroy enemy forts and protect your own. When you are playing Slaughter kill enemy DGs and don't die. For example - I played a tight and amazing Domination match last night but there were a few facepalms - Don't be messing around farming grunts when we are in a tight domination match and both teams need 200 points to win - go cap frikkin flags ASAP.
I have no prob with ub as reg, what i do is concentrate on leveling on creeps for a few lewels until i have good mines (2-3 a cast) and the mark of the betrayer. Everytime he spits from then on, he walks thru some mines+get raped by the mark when spitting(mark have longer range than spit), loosing more health than me, and getting slowed to a crawl. After this its usually just a few shots and he goes down, if he outruns my range i just snipe-finish.
Bite needs some work in terms of how the armor debuff stacks on an inverse curve with another Erebus or QoT. I.E. Two Erebus bite you, your armor goes into the red, they start hitting you for 6x damage. Yes it can be beaten by stacking armor, playing Reg with mines and MoB, or being better. Not the point. Like many of the balance issues this game has dealt with, the ability is balanced in a 1v 1 setting but scales to OP when stacked. The
Ability Schools we are missing or could use more of (some of this has been mentioned already, so thanks :) ) Illusion - abilities like limited invisibility, stealth, decoys, line-of-sight manipulation (Blind Target, summon cloud or barrier to block vision, etc), and their counters Crowd Control - Brainwash Target, Convert Grunts, Sleep, Phase Out, Confuse (decreases hit chance) and AoE for all of the above <br
I'm seeing a lot of posts right now about future demigods. Usually it's someone's total conception of a Demigod involving lore and thematic abilities. Example: Grogsmak the Barbarian - A liberated slave of the Popo people who makes it his duty to blah blah blah evil sorcerer blah blah blah Space Pony blah blah blah Magic Sword of BlahBlah blah blah blah [Abilities 1-7] Don't get me wrong, some of this stuff is really, really interesting and creative, but I
I said in another thread, I tend to think the same buff or debuff should never stack, but replace if it's a higher level. Currently it only does this if it's your own, not an allies. It would help prevent "abuses" that rely on a bunch of one demigod stacking something powerful.
Yah that's pretty much where I'm going with it...Everything in the game that can be stacked will be, at some point, unless you put a cap on it or do a diminishing returns/immunity mec
