Side note, if you buy items for your DG and he dies, are the items stil attached?
Yes - the only way to lose items is to either sell them back to the store or right-click on them to drop to the ground. You will not lose items by dying. Incidentally as a workaround to under-the-hood numbers - all damage to your DG floats, so if you playtest against minions of various levels you will see what their damage range is. It's clumsy, but if you really

So I'll be taking the day off of work on Wednesday, April 15 to play the release version of Demigod. This is an open invitation for you all to come play too ;) Not taking Monday because I'd like to see what it looks like post-release Not taking Tuesday because release days are always buggy So hopefully Wednesday is the sweet spot :D Hope to see you ingame Kestrel

Each Demigod has a lot lot more skill choices than an equivalent Hero. They still need some balancing, but the Rook on your team might be playing a completely different build than the Rook on my team, and you might pick a different build depending on which Demigods are playing with or against you. At this point you can see three or four discrete builds for each DG (though maybe only one or two of those are well-balanced right now) and you can mix and match your skill lines to tast

If you are seeing negative favor it's a bug. Sometimes your favor will reset (another bug) but you will still be left with the base favor of 150 points, which at least allows you to get a few of the available items (swift anklet is the best cheap favor item imo)
Lots of issues design wise (Doing a 3 player free for all, or having more than 2 sides). Where do the minions/creeps move? Which citadel do they attack? The game as it is designed right now, is very much a *Us* Vs *Them*. -Jara
We talked about it a while back to figure out how it could work . I'm sort of banking on us

It's a fair point. I can come up with a few scenarios where two UBs tagteam Grasp to "bridge" immunity for allied stuns but we'll really have to see how it plays and I doubt public games will really see it abused the way TB + Rook could have been. And can I say that it's nice now that crunch is almost over to see GPG back on the forums :)
My favorite is the map with more than two start points. Having to defend both bases would be a lot of fun in a 5v5.
This would be cool. I was thinking more about those situations where you have 3 people in the lobby and can't find a fourth. Just hop on a 3-sided map and each of you has a citadel to defend. ;)

Thanks for the quick advice, guys. Right now I'm looking at the Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 which is on Newegg for $65 But I'm seeing this TRENDnet TEW-631BRP for $10 cheaper and it's N protocol. It probably won't work with Tomato however. Thoughts on going with the newer, cheaper tech even with nativ

Once the game is out and devs can focus on patching it through, what are a few very ambitious things you would like to see in future updates? (I'm not talking about UI tweaks - think big) Personally - - Dynamic Fog of War - Engine limitations mean we probably can't see this implemented as maps with multiple levels, but what about buildings that act as FoW "generators?" Line of sight when close to one of these buildings would drop by 80% or more which introduces lev
Interesting. I wonder if the new combo will be UB + TB or UB + Rook
Yah looks like UB has replaced Rook as the anchor in a stun team - Rook boulders, UB grasps, Rook hammers, gg. I'm not sure why Foul Grasp is being given a pass here but at least they can turn on immunity-trigger easily when it starts to get abused.

optional portraits for your allies, as mentioned many times elsewhere, would really help anyone playing a support DG. I hate casting shield on some spirit floating directly between my cursor and my target :/
Think you consume the potion if you right click it TheBigOne :/
You consume a pot if you left-click it. Right-clicking drops it and it shows as a treasure chest icon on the ground. This can be quite useful if you are pushing and your ally needs a health or mana boost. Incidentally you can sell items that are cooling down, even if you can't drop them. Buying them back will not reset the cooldown, though.

I'm thinking about getting a new wireless router, because apparently my year-old WRT100 is dropping sockets when playing Demigod. To be clear, the devs are recommending a router less than two years old. The router will be hooked into my PC, but needs to have good wireless range for 360, laptops, etc.. Budget: $100 or less Any thoughts?
Snap. There's one big change that did not get into that change list- Minions now deal more damage.
Interesting. So you buffed General damage and survivability and upped their minion damage. I have to tell you guys - those of us who play and love Generals already are going to take this town apart ;P Thank you in advance for the couple of weeks this will give us to permanently scar the new kids before the nerf hits.. Hey mcmjon - You have two days til they disable beta to prep for launch. If your router allows you to finish games with people (which mine doesn't as of 3F) you should play some custom team games and see what you think. Right now Erebus is underpowered, stunchains are still a problem, slows are imba, AI are bad (which means Pantheon is a grind), and they nerfed spirits and yetis pretty hard, but I'm having alot of fun with Oak and UB. The ranking system is co

Things done wrong: - Beta schedule was too tight for the clinical, gradual introduction of phased elements. Rejecting balance input in Beta 1 or 2 as "Beta 3 is when we will talk about balance" only works if Beta 3 is, indeed, about balance...as it was Beta 3 was about balance for about 2 weeks and then oops! Private Gamma! It seemed like the devs would work on something behind the scenes in preparation for the appropriately scheduled phase and then if
The rook obviously had "wand of speed" which it likes it to get a lot and maybe some other speed+ items
Have you noticed that a nightmare Rook will trigger Wand of Speed before tossing a boulder? I wonder why he does that? [e digicons]:-"[/e]

So there's a thread over here inviting testers to submit their final reviews of Demigod: The Game. This thread right here is asking you for your feedback on the Beta process over all. What did you think of the Beta? What would you have done differently in the developers' shoes? What aspects did you especially like? I'll post my feedback below when I've given it some thought. Please keep it fairly polite and try to pos

That's great PI - alot more in depth than I could have done, thanks [e digicons][/e] Keep the reviews coming and let's see if we can't get that score a bit higher before release ;) Edit: So I've seen a few comments in this thread that seem to be more about the overall Beta process and less about the game. I've made a thread here where you can give your impressions of the process. Thanks
