I honestly don't know why it's not there already. They keep saying the game was designed with performance in mind especially lower end computers and low end these days includes Dual core Processors. You can't even BUY an new single core processor anymore so why don't they put it in.
I see inspiration for a mod there. Make the creeps look like the smaller-scale combatants, with bigger types (Optimus Prime, Godzilla) as player-controllable demigods. We'd also need a Tokyo city map...
I think you need to learn the History of the Solar Bean. Seriously I can walk downstairs grab something to eat or drink and consume it and come back up and the page still hasn't loaded. This is the ONLY website I go to that is this slow. I have an 5 Mb connection so that's not my issue. It's my only problem with Stardock ATM. Oh and my spellchecker think I mean Starbucks when I write Stardock. Since you haven't played FA in a while your probably going to get your a** handed to you in a bucket by his AI. I know I did when I first tried his AI. Also if you want to improve your performance for FA even more I also would suggest looking at Duncanes AI fixes which fix the stock AI's.
I'm not sure why you would even consider "pirate base destruction" an important point for an AI. I don't even do it until there's nothing else left in the system, since they're my pets.
If you had had read my post more carefully you would have noticed I said,
This is normally not an issue, but sometimes random maps place an Pirate base between the AI and the rest of the map and because of this bug the AI is trapping it self into it's starting area.[/quote

Solar Bean: Causes your character to plant an bean in the ground that when fully grown causes the sun to explode thereby destroying the map.

First: Even if the AI has 3 capital ships and an good sized fleet they refuse to attack an Pirate Base. This is normally not an issue, but sometimes random maps place an Pirate base between the AI and the rest of the map and because of this bug they AI is trapping it self into it's starting area. Solution: Make the AI not be afraid of Pirates and have them attack them without mercy. Second: This one is kinda funny but is annoying, If you have an two AI game with no o
I'd say it's about 60 days away from being at that point where, like Sins and GalCiv before it, Demigod gets the critical mass of "fun stuff" in that it starts to become a problem internally (i.e. where we have to limit "testing" to non work hours).
ROFL I can see that happening, the devs testing the game more than working on it. I hope they do it like SupCom, where large and powerful units just were given a SH-- load of health. No special % or any of that crap it's just simplely give it more health. It's easier to remember and easier to find out exactly how long unit X takes to kill unit Y. (Just health Divided by incoming DPS, instead of finding each units armor and each units damage type, then finding out how much DPS is "wasted" vs the type of units your working with and then doing the math.) Plus the
Funny how Kryo is pretty much a nobody on GPG forums so no one realizes his word is official. Thanks for the link.
Probally because of the next post:
kryo, you should consider making a signature where you state you work for Stardock, not only will they read more carefully what you write here then but they also won't confuse you with kryo from VoW (one of the most known SupCom Clans )
It is extremely likely that it will have a visual impact, In supcom upgrading your acu made it look diffrent.

1) Improve preformance on medium sized fleets and bigger. (30ish ships) 2) Add a option to go into slower then 1x gameplay. (would be extremely helpful in creating huge fights for movies without needing a super-computer) Also would be a tempariy fix for #1 (Was one of my favorite things about SupCom, you could make any sized fight but if it was too laggy you could slow it down to playable FPS) 3) Related to #2 Make it so your computer doesn't have to be all powe
