I think skinz.org used to carry them. Dunno if they still do. what does the error message look like that says you can't get the skin to download? is it for all skins for windowblinds, or just one, or have you possibly reached some max download cap, or something?

Steven Smith ...obviously not a real name ...obviously the admins also have the submission's IP address logged through the ISP and/or hosting site. Tracking of the offending offal should be easy enough, since the forwarding IP addresses will be trackable, right? Where the heck is BuzzHog when you need him? Any other sysadmins hang out in this joint? Carlitus, listen to Koasati about this person.

Hippy is male...except for the brief incident in the shower...but I hear he got that sewn back on. Feline prefers to keep overlooking that fact And I was inferring I was going to beat him with the bat until he quit...winners never quit, and quitters never win, though, so...who knows?

ratings do not currently seem to work because no two people rate the same thing the same way...set up your own rating theme based off of predetermined choices, and then you only have your self to blame if you see something you think sucks. ...although this won't fix how to judge what gets past the moderators for wallpapers, I suppose. Well hell, sorry, I tried...that's my quota for constructive thinking for the week.

and then, in the tradition of the skinning your own website theory, you can go into your preferences and set your own ratings for those categories. then, based on your choice, you automate the rating system based off of your own preferences, and it will be different for each person. plus, this will help in that you will usually view the ones you rated highest, since the programming from the database can be set to read your preferences and display what you choose, and will likely invoke you placi

Why not change the theory behind the ratings and go with a yes/no setup, so people can get their preferences to streamline what they see. It is all about what your interests are, as a downloader, that determine what you like, right? Does the following submission contain ___ (Y/N) Text: Gridlines: 3D Object(s): Monocolor: Greyscale Only: (can't figure out the wording for people, animals, etc.): Binary Numbering: etc... I dunno, just a thought

I'm just here for the spell checker...Microsoft has the crappiest checker, so any time I have doubts on its capabilities, I just type something off the wall here and wait to see if Jafo fixes it. If not, he's either hung over or ignoring me or it is correct.

OK, I figured it out myself...here's a quick tutorial (never done one before, so bear with me)... - Fire up Fireworks - File|New (the below beginning setup is up to you. these are my numbers) - 20 px height - 20 px width - 72 px/inch - Transparent background - Zoom in to 600x (unless your eyes are REALLY good) - Left-click PENCIL tool (the below are again my settings) - 1 px - anti-aliased UNCHECKED - color set to blac

I guess what I should have said was "Does anyone here USE fireworks? If so, are you aware of graphic-intense tutorial sites, like the thousands for photoshop and paint shop pro, rather than the few corporate ones floating around?" You know, something like Dangeruss' site and links or something, where the tutorials are not mainstream news, where actual users (aka...US...you and me) are the people that really could use the help...

oh, and don't forget the little stuff... i am dabbling with linux flavor testing. i slapped debian on my box the other day (still don't have a gui running...not sure why) and had to have a 3.5 floppy formatted to run the boot so w2k wouldn't override it. well, i didn't bother cabling up the floppy when i put the box together a few months ago, so i couldn't figure out why it wasn't formatting until i ripped her open and saw the cables hanging, right where i left them. this is the first t

for the usb situation, i recommend a 4 port usb hub, or two. i run my mouse, keyboard, digital camera, two printers, and smartcard interface from a pair of hubs these run from two of the original 4 usb ports the motherboard has, with a two port expansion slot. i run a 1 gig amd with a gig and a half of sdram running at 133 mhz, no overclocking, on an asus k board with a 400w powersup beca
