Sounds the same as the Autoattack bugs covered quite comprehensively in IV's thread, it should probably be updated to mention minions if that's the case. Calm down Somaz, it's just a bug report: nothing to get too excited over.
Say we accept this and move on to the next step - when do you think the devs should pencil in time to revamp and rebalance this set of mechanics for the several demigods who can stun?
Exactly, I'd prefer new content and bug fixes to a revamp of skills already quite well balanced and fully implemented. The AoE stuns work at the moment in conjunction with the stun immunity mechanic and there is no compelling reason to spend time and money changing

You could probably rig it up to play with the giant model, but since we can't export animations in GR2 we wouldn't be able to give him skills with associated animations, which would be kinda lame. Can we please have a GR2 exporter Frogboy? I can't see modding doing a whole lot to enhance the community if we can't create our own content.

Aesir, there are already a large number of options presented to a custom game host, and all of them break the balance of the game imo. I don't play custom games with people who insist on changing them, so that already fragments the community. The difference with the proposed option is that it won't actually change the way the game plays, so it's unlikely to be an issue with fragmentation. I will join a game and play with someone using favor on, or favor all, but if they put starting level at

I feel the strength of +HP items diminishes the usefulnes of burst dmg abilities and instead makes the game revolve around stuns and slows. Nothing wrong with that, if that's what poeple find fun.

I didn't say equal, I said comparable. There needs to be some semblance of balance, otherwise the game will degenerate into hard counters based off DG choice, or worse everyone picking the same classes all the time. I do worry that stuns are a little too effective in this game though, and that's why they were nerfed with the immunity mechanic. The people who suggested the mechanic mentioned in that other thread are all people who have played since early beta, and really know their RTS

SupCom was the last RTS I played competitively online as well, and I too found the ranking/matching system there to be far better than anything I had seen previously, or have seen since. I don't really see the point of rankings in a team game you can't play as a team, you're too dependant on your team mates for win/loss results to even mean anything in terms of rating your skill level. I'm hoping team pantheon comes soon. The thumbs up map system from GPGNet was good too.

The game needs more items in the 4k - 8k bracket that are worth buying. I thought HoL should have been moved to the 8k section along with Mageslayer myself, it was one of the few expensive items really worth saving for, now it's just another bit of white noise at the artifact shop: things that ARENT MageSlayer or Ashkandor. Anyone else think the entire artifact shop needs reworking? I'd like about 50% of the items to cost between 8 - 12K, and for some more serious defensive items that

There are plenty of counters to spit. There's a favor item, and there's health pots, and there's shield, heal, mist, and bramble shield. If the result of this discussion is a spit nerf I will eat my hat in displeasure.

Maybe think of it this way: Is stunlocking comparable in effectiveness to the other combinations of abilities in the game? I don't think it is, I see it is an insanely powerful move that will net you a kill in a huge number of common scenarios. How many pair ability combos have that kind of hit rate? Sure Grasp/Mines and Shield/Heal are really effective combos, but I don't think they're in the same ballpark as stunlocking. I completely accept that some people like stun locking, I just

Could we get an option that allows everyone in the game to access any favor item, just for that game? It levels the playing field for new players but also caters to the people who see favor items as an integral part of their build. This would make the options: - Favor on: Normal option, people can spend their accumulated points to buy items - Favor off: People cannot use favor items at all - Favor all: People can have whatever they want, but may not k

Just because both DotA and WoW have stun locking doesn't mean every game should. It was obviously decided that it would be detrimental to the enjoyment of the game at some point and was countered by adding the stun immunity mechanic. I'm glad they did this, and I'm just pointing out that Foul Grasp doesn't behave any different to the other stuns from the perspective of the victim so I don't believe it deserves to be exempt from stun immunity. Yes, the attacker is held still for its du

Ooze would destroy the spirits, and it will destroy all other minions as well, UB is a poor example of someone who would have difficulty countering a minion build. I play Sedna a lot, I'm told I'm a bit of a bitch to play against, and I can tell you that Yetis are completely worthless compared to the other skills you need to stay alive against good opposition. Sedna does very little damage, but with two strong interrupts, a giant heal, and good passive regen you can stay at the front

JagerJack you're talking about low standard games where people aren't supporting each other. There is no issue with grasp in a game where nobody is coordinating, but in a game where everyone is on voice you will find yourself getting stunned for 4-5 seconds straight and demolished before you can move again. The presence of stun immunity mechanics on all other stuns would suggest this is not intended behavior. I would also argue that none of the other stuns are particularly useful in 1

Radish that serves a different purpose, the rod is used in a different way to the HoL. For example the rod isn't as effective if you want to spit harass, since you won't be able to use the half off mana every time you spit. The rod would probably be better than using the HoL in terms of efficiency if you were playing ice TB and doing a full shatter combo, but that doesn't mean every character would be able to use it well. You also fail to address the heart of life as just a +health it

I would have thought the obvious solution is to make an effort to find other premades. Try joining other people's lobbies, and when you come up against good players add them to your friends list. Many people have a premade that they don't always play in, so you may well find some decent organised teams to play against. Some randoms are good enough at the game to take on premades when paired with other good randoms as well. You could try to get an irc channel going with people from you

Twifight, 800HP in the early stages of the game is the difference between being able to tank 3 nukes and not being able to tank 3 nukes. The reset means that for the next week or so I'm going to play with favor items off so that there's no chance I'm going to be playing with or against people who don't have access to either the anklet or the blood vial. People who play one or two games each evening are going to need time to catch up to the people playing 4-5 games every day. I don't c

The default behavior should be to sit at max range and fire, if you want to move closer do it manually. Figuring out your char's max range is difficult, so to get a char to sit at max range manually would be nigh on imposible for shooting things like towers as Reg.

If there was a patch coming out every other week fixing a couple of random bugs, such as the autoattack ones listed by IV, there would be less complaining. Unfortunately when it's 1 month or more between patches people start to wonder when most of the bugs in the core gameplay are actually going to go away. If nothing else, the bug threads are telling the devs what needs to be fixed for the next patch, even if the tone of some of the posts is a little off in my opinion.

si1foo, what you suggest would result in people having an advantage at the start of the game over people who had played the game less. It's a bad idea let it drop.
