To see it in action, get a friend to play erebus, and play torchie. If they use mass charm, for a short period AFTER the stun has stopped, if you use ice nova to stun, instead of your opponent being turned to ice a "STUN IMMUNITY" will flash up next to them and they will be completely unaffected. It happens with all other stuns as far as I know: Boulder Roll, Mass Charm, Ice Nova all do it I think. I've only seen it happen with the Erebus/Torchie combo, and it drove me insane at the t

si1foo, you can do that with one stun and some good positioning from a rook, but yeah, under the current system you can grasp someone, then boulder roll them to get close enough to hammer slam, you have ~4 seconds to complete the move rather than 2. And you can open with a charm, grasp, and by the time grasp finishes the stun immunity is gone so you can roll. Not terribly counterable except for perhaps interrupting the charm.
Oh my, I guess I'll have to get the premade back together to grind some favor...won't that be fun for everyone.
So 1.1 fixed a bunch of stuff and there's another thread already talking about other fixes people want...I just thought I'd canvas whether you all think the lack of stun immunity buff after being foul grasped is appropriate. Imo the whole point of stun immunity is to prevent stun locking, but using Grasp, you can get an easy 5 seconds or so with an Erebus, or an Ice TB by your side. It requires some timing to get it to work, but if we ignore the skill level of players, I don't
Solace, you would have to install the mod yourself to play, and the mods are centralised and monitored by SD/GPG under the proposed system iirc.
People who take the anklet are going to die if they get stunned/slowed since they are missing out on the +800 HP from Blood of the Fallen. I take health stacking over everything else, if you get stunned and focus fired upon, nothing else will save you. Not dying is important to me.
I don't agree with adding "Role-playing" to any game genre, simply because you play a role in every game on the market. You could call FPS games role playing shooters, but people don't because "role playing" is associated with the RPG genre. "Third person" to me implies a third person chasecam, such as in Max Payne, so I don't agree with that either. I'm happy to go with MOBA since it disassociates itself from the genres from which is is derived: RTS and CRPG, so there is never going to be an
Taking towers down gradually is extremely inefficient, use burst abilities along with a teammate instead of wasting time on small pushes with creeps. This way you end up having to deal less total damage due to tower regen. Getting a beast to spit + reg using mines for example will down a tower very, very quickly during the mid game. Vlad makes a good point, and even on a map like Cataract, if you need to be right at the enemy gates to farm, you have a very long way to run if t
Because it was only referring to one of 6 NAT servers, so the data wasn't accurate. It was used during beta and people were drawing incorrect conclusions form it (namely that the game is unpopular) One of the locked threads from yesterday has a post from Forgboy saying this.
Surely you just focus spit on one of them at the start so they can't get their tower farms up and have to retreat?
Sure there is: implementation, testing, and future rebalancing costs time and money that could be better spent on other things... like actually fixing the AI. It's that easy eh? No but seriously, developing AI is difficult in so many ways. The F.E.A.R. AI was praised almost universally, but it's still not good enough to really challenge you strategically. They didn't bother adding bots to mu
One AoE spell will destroy most of a creep wave, eg Rain of Ice, or mines, regardless of whether you have creep upgrades. I don't see the argument for buying priests to be strong at all. I most play play Cataract, and I rarely let a lane be completely undefended for long, since that's lost XP/Gold, and potentially lost towers too. If there is a DG in each creep lane buying upgrades will not help you push against them, it will hurt you because of the extra gold/xp you're giving them. If you wa
So you think you should buy priests, push, and the success or failure of that push should decide the outcome of the game? Stupid.
Soldier 33 4 Archer 33 8 Priest 50 33 Theres the XP/Gold grant table from http://demigod.wikia.com/wiki/XP_and_Gold_mechanics Still think buying priests is
Playing Sedna, it can be very annoying having your minions not be able to get past a wave of creeps, I'd really like it if they turned off the collisions in the same way as Demigods can walk through minions/creeps.
You can use Bestial Wrath in conjunction with an ally's stun for absolute carnage.
EDIT: What Spooky said
HateForest, 1 month ago we used to spend 30 minutes screwing around with connections, only for the NAT to die and have to start over again, but you're right, the current situation is possibly worse for getting AU/NZ games. I only recommend the irc channel idea because there's the in game client we can use.
Stacked, I encourage you to get in the irc channel during the evening, there are a lot of games played 7pm - 11pm each night, the more people we get in channel the better chance we can coordinate when we play. I think lash got a 5v5 going last night too, which is pretty cool.
region?
Hateforest, join the demigod-au channel in irc, lashiec and a few others are trying to organise games from there. I think this will work better than friends lists if we can get enough people to join the channel when they want an AUS/NZ game. Also modding is coming, you can already mod things, just some aspects are closed off due to some format restrictions.
The ban list idea isn't centralised, its a personal one that you add to yourself, so there's no need for any monitoring of it...as I said, it's really no different to the manual system of writing people's names down and kicking them by yourself, or leaving if they join a lobby you have also joined. Everyone has their own piece of paper rather than there being one big piece of paper that everyone adds to, and the effect of a banlist is simply to automate something that is quite tiresome to do
Tis the weekend?
As an example, cataract is 90MB, including textures, effects, and meshes. Most of the space is taken up by giant textures, which are pretty unnecessary imo, you could easily make a make that looked ok without all the fancy stuff going on around it. Sure the water features looks nice, but I wouldnt bother with it initially if I were making a map. Unfortunately, we can't import meshes properly at the moment, we need a GR2 exporter and possibly some other things from GPG. And I d
