They didn't create a tutorial because it's intuitively obvious to anyone who has played a Real Time Strategy game before, which constitutes the vast majority of customers. It's really very simple...left click on your character to select him, right click to move, right click on the shop to buy items, right click to attack things. You have abilities and items that can be activated with the numbers and the function keys, and to add a new skill when you go up a level, press the "+

It was noted as an exploit about a month ago by a Stardock employee. http://forums.demigodthegame.com/351951/page/1/#2204911
Speed Reg builds are pretty risky. Once you get stunned its all over pretty quickly...I take HP stacks over speed, but take the speed wand for the occasional escape/chase. Kiting Oak is doubly risky since penitence will slow you.
At level 17 with a mageslayer or slayer's wraps (or perhaps both by that stage) Beast/Reg can kill a tower in about 1.5 seconds with autoattack, so you're obviously playing against people who arent very skilled if you're effective as a tower rook at level 17. Level 17 is what....30 minutes in? Both teams have probably got at least catas by this stage, and one (or more) member of each team will have some serious gear, they arent going to even notice your towers.
How is a good Erebus unkillable? You can still use foul grasp/any other stun to stun-lock and burst damage him to death. If he runs out of mana he's as screwed as anyone else, and if he goes into mist form any Reg player will jump at the chance to throw a large number of mines at his feet. Same argument as Sedna imo: you need to target the support characters like Erebus in a 2v2 engagement if you want the kill. As for the OP, if its at level 1 and he killed you, you did something very
I mostly play Sedna and I don't lose many 1v1s early on in the game, except to rook if he sets up his farm before I can get to the lane. Either way I'm not actually going to die from the rook, I'll just get pushed back to friendly towers. Especially at level 2 with both pounce and heal you can chase people past the corner tower on cataract, get a kill and live if you're careful. When I'm not playing Sed I'm mining it up as Regulus, and with both AF and Mines I don't have any problem t
Ohhh ya the Mechwarrior games... man those were fun... really need to bring em back... http://www.mechlivinglegends.net/ :)
What if there were 20 $1 small updates that were released as a $20 expansion pack when they were all completed? Fan-made DGs would likely not have the same visual quality, for example you would need things like a stun animation and a beign frozen effect, neither of which are central to the game. The current DGs wave around a bit and have some fancy ice effects, but this isn't really needed and I wouldn't care if fan made content didn't have this kind of stuff in favor of being somewha
My list is getting rather long. Although that may be more to do with people with low sim speed and crap connections. Most AU/NZ games tend to run to completion, I think we have a pretty good little community happening tbh.
I do the same as proximity, send them to the enemy towers to die. Killing a Sedna player with monks AND high priests is difficult enough to cause people to whine, so I avoid it.
You can use the RSS feed to access the threads individually by the way. Though its not great since you cant see when new posts come...
If you want to get a large chunk of content all at once in an expansion pack, you're going to have to wait longer. There is nothing stopping stardock from pursuing both models, with the collective paid DLC becoming an expansion pack at some point. If you don't want to pay for the DLC early then don't but the advantage it has over expansion packs is it can get to market faster by being only a smaller part of a larger product.
It is being moved to the artifact shop in the next patch eobet, so I don't think this combo will be commonplace for much longer.
You don't even need to predict it, you can just ask them :)
Because animation software still relies on too much hand input, while the vertex counts and texture detail have risen dramatically in accordance with GPU power. This means there is a lot more work to do now than there was. Or put another way, beacuse it looks a hell of a lot better it takes a lot longer to make! You can't just make a static model and press go and it will walk. We're getting closer though.
so...many...ellipses...
I think he means the friends and groups features.
You get two for free with updates. How are Stardock going to collect enough revenue to fund the new DGs if people don't pay for them? Though TBH I don't think we need more DGs, I think we need more 3v3 maps. One with 3 lanes would be nice :D. $5 for paired introductions if I'm forced though.
Erebus does have fairly extreme utility, but he doesnt do much damage. He's a pain to kill because he can mist to remove debuffs and blink to escape (and the only way to stop these is silence/stun because theres no cast time) but he lacks any staying power in combat because he gets roasted pretty quickly by most if not all the other characters without doing much himself. TBH I think Erebus is one of the few DGs that doesnt need tweaking. Everyone else has shit skills that need improvi
I stand by the assessment I made 3 weeks ago (who resurrected this thread?) that towers should have a little less hp at lower levels an much more hp at higher levels. They simply arent any use later on.
Sinking to their level in the hacking case would be to do it yourself. Of course you should report cheaters, of which there are none in this game due to the restrictions of desync. If someone insults you in real life you either take it, as any mature adult would, or as you seem to suggest, you take some action. If someone insults you in the street do you go to the police? I certainly hope not, they have more important things to deal with. Similarly I'd really like the people at Stardo
Wow...I use the fog to hide all the time. Who throws mines BEFORE the flag they're capping has turned yellow? Nobody? Well that's good because if you do you certainly shouldn't. On cataract you can ambush people who are trying to backdoor your portals by running past where your corner tower would normally be to block their exit. If there are no creeps there then your opponent isn't going to see you coming and is going to be at a significant disadvantage when you get into combat (if they retre
Actually 1.1 is going to indirectly nerf Regulus, by capping the move speed reduction. He has no interrupt, and no stun (deadeye is shit and doesnt count) but he has 2 giant slows in mines and motb, and also maim as a minor slow. Someone mentioned a while ago there is a hard % cap at the amount of slow you can stack on, but the new patch is adding a movespeed figure to that as well, so no more practically static enemies to throw mines under :) More pressingly, and perhaps a big factor
The ones who start @600 and slowly go down to ~100 seem to spike when you get in game, I don't kick them but I do keep a list of the people who lag, and invariably they end up on it once the game starts stuttering horribly. My guess is its low bandwidth connections that do it, but I don't really know. But yes 150 == 250 for most purposes, people should stop putting draconian ping limits on their games.
Some indie stuff: Freeform tower defense: Harvest: Massive Encounter standard tower defense: Defence Grid: The Awakening Top down shooter with rpg elements: Crimsonland Music/Rhythm/wierdness: Audiosurf also Shadowgrounds and Shadowgrounds: Survivor are really good, you can pick them up pretty cheaply. Not indie, but if you havent played Rome: Total War and like strategy games I recommend it, and you can pick it up for around $10 these days.
