I really can't believe they aren't including VoIP with Demigod - it seems to be a massive shortfall, in a team based game. There was a previous topic about this somewhere, i can't be bothered finding it - but one of the dev's basically said it was too much work to include voip in the game - personally i'd rather pay an extra $5 and have ingame voip, cs style. Ventrilo and TS are nice, but are useless for pub games.
or you could just press T, zoom in a bit, then hold down the space bar to get the right angle.

I've just made a Steam group for Australian based players - joinjoinjoin link: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/dgau
it's a known bug with all melee characters - they close to melee range, stop, begin their attack animation, then abort because the target has run out of range.
i haven't heard about this 'Steamworks' before so i shall hold my judgement for now. my first impression, though, was that it's a engine wise thing which would require an entire recoding of the already complete engine. that said it could just be a compatibility front-end to patch in Steam with the game in question.
As I understand it, it's the latter, but I'm not completely sure. I'm just saying Steam/Valve have p
Valve have released steamworks, so any company can ensure their games will work with steam. I'm sure if GPG/Stardock wanted Demigod to work with Steam, it would. I can understand why they haven't bothered, but you can hardly blame Valve/Steam.
yep, this is a well known bug, on the first part of the bug round up in fact. http://forums.demigodthegame.com/323081

yep, this is similar to a problem with the rook, where the hammer smash animation skips occasionally.
team death match? That doesn't seem to describe the game at the moment - there are more goals than simply killing the opponent team members
printscreen works, as normal. It doesn't create a file - you need to exit out of demigod, open up an image editor such as paint or photoshop, and paste the stored screenshot into a document.

I was playing waterfall yesterday, 1 human VS 3 ai's. The scoreboard showed it as a 2v2, with one of the AI opponents listed as being on my team.
this could be the same as the problem with regulus' angelic fury spell (I think someone else has already made a post about this), where occasionally reg will spread his wings but will not jump into the air, but the damage is still applied. I've had this problem, but it doesn't occur all the time.
could do, I'm just going from memory
The vampire lord is going to have a poisoned health potion ability, where if he dies the potion will do 500 damage to whoever picks it up. As to the OP, what if your inventory is already full? Where does it go then?
i can. When placing regular mines, the bright yellow range ring on your cursor, not around regulus, is far larger than the range of the mine - around twice the diameter.
granted I've only played against AI opponents, but still, TB is pretty fragile and doesn't do a whole lot of damage. Teamed up with a rook or UB he would be excellent, but that's not unbalanced, that's just teamwork. I still find UB and Rook to be more powerful than the TB
no - the torchbearer is not overpowered at all. He's powerful against creeps with his AoE spells, but has limited damage capability against other demigods. The deep freeze debuff is a great spell, but it doesn't do any damage. TB only has one direct damage single target ability - fireball. Compare this to UB, which can acid spit and health drain an enemy in about three seconds, doing about 2000 damage. To prove this, play against a TB AI, and you'll see he'll probably score far more a
http://img359.imageshack.us/my.php?image=31409977ld8.jpg I've never noticed these before, I started a new game after I took this screenshot and they weren't there, so I'm assuming this is a bug.
I've managed one full game on the mine map without any slowdown, but have had the slow down a couple of times. The slow down occurs when the creep pathfinding fucks out - the catas, giants and priests all get stuck at one of the sets of ToL's, then the game slows down to maybe 1 fifth speed. In the game where I had no slow down, the creeps didn't get stuck at all, so I'm pretty sure that's the cause.
i like it this way. Saves me having to press T every time I spawn. I think it makes sense for assassins.
you don't need to download it again, you can just archive the download on your computer then extract that on your friend's computer and activate it using impulse
