most likely cause of the failed to convert error is differences between the versions of the convertdata.exe used to bin the files and the one you are using to txt the files. I see this exact error when running the convertdatas on files from older versions. you could try my txtbin gui harpo

tattyhat, I also agree with the suggestion for the I7 as in my experience the i series cores are more efficient per clock than the amd ones, but the latest amds are getting better, but still NEED about 20% higher clocks to equal the throughputs. regarding the video cards it depends more on the games you want to play, ie FPS then the nvidia no fps then choose by your own preferences but I am also going to suggest getting the highest speed ram you can as it is a lot easier to ov

goafan, I have created my randomised very heavy random militia templates IN galaxyforge, and without actually setting the planet owner to RandomMilitia I just included one OR more coloniser ships in the spawned ships for the GW, then the resident militia repeatedly re-colonise WHILE the coloniser ship(s) are alive and the planet loses the colony from superweapons OR other causes, and I usually set the heavy militia to 'noowner' spawning for the template. and I use my very heav

I also have difficulty in seeing the potential move locations in tac combat, and I use the highest detail AND res settinga, but have not yet tried the 1.3 beta, and have not seen ANY mod that has altered the tac combat visibility, currently playing around with the brightness, contrast and other settings in the advanced menu to see if I can improve the issue harpo

just remember for rebellion, use the galaxyforge in the steamapps/sins...rebellion/galaxy forge as it is up to date for rebellion, whereas the download one is onle for trinity/diplomacy/entrenchment/vanilla sins. harpo

woeAINTme IS CORRECT, the custom maps for achievement farming are usually galaxyforge maps, BUT the old galaxyforge could load mapdesigner galaxys and create and allow you to edit the phase lanes so that the AI's can not enter your part of the map, and also use the fixed starting locations as well (this is to prevent YOU getting stuck in one of the AI trap zones) harpo

there is significant changes for sins maps from 2009 to rebellion that would either force a re-create similar map, manually edit the map to include ALL of the MANY changes or use my map updater (btw rebellion maps should be in the my games/sins...rebellion/galaxyforge folder and back in the day (2009) vanilla sins maps were in the program files...galaxy folder, but the non ironclad maps were moved for entrenchment and later) harpo

first seen in wom, then in FE , and now LH, monsters favour the AI(and not attack) and attack humans at first sight. check, are they monsters? if they do not attack ai and do attack humans, then yes they ARE monsters. thanks for finally seeing the issue and even posting that you have seen the issue, and are even working on it thanks frogboy harpo

but as good to BACKUP all the data you want to keep and do NOT assume that the problem is caused by VIRII/malware, it is more likely to be hardware failure. harpo

wambamola, my map updater (rebellion beta) WILL update ANY old sins from mapversion 0(original sins release) to mapversion 3 (current trinity)) map to rebellion see reply 134 in the thread , AND read /apply the following answers. harpo

for rebellion the correct path is under your 'my documents' and is 'My Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\GalaxyForge', and you should be using the galaxyforge that is in your 'steam apps/common/sins of a solar empire rebellion/galaxyforge' folder as the one on the download page is for the trinity version of thegame and there are significant differences between the map formats and rebellion no longer supports the mapversion 3 tha

as a 'casual' photographer (admitedly trained BY an former head of art department of a teachers college AND practicing artist in ALL media including photography) I have taken photos on low end cameras that even expert and professional photographers with their very expensive gear would have had great difficulty in getting mostly by being there WITH a camera that was ready to work and did NOT need 15 minutes to set up for the photo, so I would suggest finding a camera that FITS you, and
