ah, so you do NOT have a trinity licence, and I also do have a sins of a solar empire digital download, entrenchment (no download other than stopgame), diplomacy (no download other than stopgame) and the trinity pack that has all three (has a download and an upgrade download(from 1.3x to 1.37), and the rubbliron that dribbles in. and yes it is frustrating having to use stopgame for anything as they wrecked impulse. harpo

I have downloaded a non-steam trinity from the stardock downloads page( https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products ) if you registered your sins trinity with stardock you should be able to log in to the store on the above link and download the FULL installer (the update is (from memory) only for the 1.3x to 1.37 not for earlier than that) hope this helps harpo

I have seen one or two recent amd mobos that have ONE ide port, but the last chipset in the intels that frequently had an ide was h61, (not easily found now and does NOT support overclocking) harpo

replace ALL hw as hdds/odds from 4 years ago were mostly IDE and most if not all CURRENT mobo's are SATA only, regarding the PSU I work to the theory (based upon experience) that unless overspeced(by capacity) (at least 2x the system draw of ALL components) have a life of approx 3-5 years as the supplies tend to lose capacity at approx 10% PER YEAR, as already stated electrical sparking type sounds before a part fails usually means REPLACE all that are related to part that

from what I read you want more starbases in each gravity well, this is controlled by a line in each of planet/star entity files (and near the end of the file is the line you want (both trinity AND rebellion use the same code for this) maxStarBaseCountPerPlayer 1 just change this line in each of the planet*.entity and star*.entity files to the number that you want but do NOT attempt to alter the game files in the program files area, DO create a MOD in the mods area for th

there only some differences between rebellion and trinity, so zombies thread with rebellion ref files (just change the items from the refs to have the lines that start the same have the difference and do not change line that are new to rebellion), and ther is also myfist0's website ( http://www.soase.x90x.net/ ) that should also be able to help you. harpo

7zips and rars are both smaller AND faster to download, and no slower ot extract from that the HUGE zip files, and the only effective differences between the differing archive formats are 1 the program used to create/extract and the file size(as an example of the difference in file size, my ref files for rebellion 1.5 in a rar are 36.12 mb, BUT the zip one in wincustomise is 48mb and both were compressed with the highest compression that the format offers), and in the OP there is a 7zip of th

the screenshot folder should be next to the galaxyforge and mods mapdesigner folders in the user space(trinity and earlier will be behind two hidden folders under the user name) (if rebellion then it should be in the my docs\my games area) (and called 'ScreenShot') hope this helps harpo

the info from woeaintme is correct and first started in entrenchment, and the total number of upgrades in un-modified starbase upgrades is 24 for tec and 20 for both advent(psi) and vasari(phase), BUT the best way to do this is to create a mod in the mods folder the path can be found by clicking on the button labeled 'show mod path' in the options/mods area of the game, but is usually of these following locations mods info assuming you have sins 1.193/entrenc

I have not started to even look at the mod updater for rebellion as to properly develop it I need to have my development tools (ie visual studio) on the same machine as the game for testing, BUT as steams licence requires giving steam permission to go searching through the files on my computer and take what ever they want, I will NOT be installing the development tools and source codes on a machine with steam. harpo

zharg, first extract the mod into your 'my documents\my games\('fallen enchantress' OR 'Legendary heros' depending upon the game you have and are playing and the mod is for)\mods folder, second in the options for the game make sure that the option for 'use mods' IS marked, the mod should then work unless the mod requires replacing the core files in your steamapps\gamename\english folder (some mods do NEED this as fe/lh do not ignore the core game files when
