Take a person, put him in a competition where he plays a game next to a person with an audience. The loser will shake the hand of the winner and walk away. Take the same person, put him on the internet behind his PC and one or more of the following will occur: He will lose advantage early with an early mistake and just quit the game to start a new one, after all why should he care? He will be in a position where the loss is inevitable but rather than surrender he

I think it's a strategic decision based on how much a single Sims 3 sale is worth. The amount they make off of Sims in expansions sales must be massive so in their minds losing some sales to piracy is far outweighed by the extra sales they will get from the hype of not having DRM. Also I wouldn't be surprised if there is some amount of online connecting to EA servers to get certain things or activate certain features, they just wont admit that's why they don't feel the need for

In the beginning you shouldn't need as good economy as playing TEC. Just make sure you expand well and set up your economy in the mid game. Take advantage of the Evacuator's power to sway battles to your advantage. Once the initial expansion has come to an end set up those defencive lines. In the early mid game your advantages in economy come from the Resource extraction upgrades and Enforced Labor (The Tech that reduces the cost of buildings and ships. Later

It's not insane to ask for more I in AI. It's the work of about 1 man hour including developer testing (plus including wee wee breaks and a chat at the water cooler) to get the Nano Disasembler to not cast on a ship that is less than 300hp total or something similar (i'd like to see it more parametised than that personally). Or howabout a if(currentTarget != planet) autoCast.DeploySiegePlatform = false;. Currently the Auto Cast AI looks like it is programme
Are we talking Sins or Entrenchment? Which versions?
In Entrenchment it is still next to useless to leave stuff on auto cast. Almost all skills as Vasari can not be trusted to be auto cast even in single player. While you may think that this is fine because a certain amount of micro should make a good player we have to remember that the AI uses this auto cast so the AI is as stupid as these auto cast decisions. &n

How are you guys enjoying the game? I've heard a lot of negative feedback from players and I was tempted to try Men of War instead because that seems to have the opposite.

Yeah good luck guys, there's been some real gems from Konami but then they don't have the relationship with their western customers like you guys have.

I mean, they said the natives were compatible for mating (pretty much just as bluntly), so why the half-cylon one?
Well it's part of the cycle perhaps or part of gods (it's) plan? Or perhaps there was something about Hera that evolution wise made humankind survive, something that just normal BSG humans didn't have in t
for those of you who have ever read any H.P. Lovecraft or other similar stuff this would fall into the category of "outer realms entities". tentacles with tentacles on them. eyes that see the 4th and 5th dimension but not the 1st-3rd. really weird stuff like that. they would be invaders from a parallel dimension with capabilities and motivations so alien even to the mighty Vasari that they were impossible to resist. t

In the fire fight the new one went down with a shot but the old ones seemed to take quite a few hits.
I noticed how Cylons have slowly become a lot easier to kill as the series went on :) Remember when they got boarded that time? They were like trying to take out Terminators. The finale had them going down like Storm Troopers :P
