I have a problem. To update multymedia I have to download 82 megs. In the UK a lot of us are limited to 2 hours and then the line is closed. Is there any way I can download using something like Gozilla, or download smaller files,or is the dregen net game manager supposed to do that. Because it doesn't on my machine. Hi Captain, What I do is univ trans first then whatever to get defenders. I buy on fist turn a scout, then a colony ship. Otherwise you won't know where the best systems are, and they will already colonised. Hope this helps

Right, Just finnished game, difficulty level was cakewalk, and i had AI on stupid. and obviosly that was too easy. So the problem seems to be that when average is set (on all) you (I) don't stand a chance. Is there any alteration in game difficulty with AI difficulty. I mean if you set the game to cakrwalk and then set AI to average does the difficulty level change to suicide as I have seen at the end of other games?
That is the one I set to cakewalk. and got the above dificult senario. Any way I set all the aliens to stupid and things calmed down greatly. When I finnish and it goes to metaverse screen i will see what level it says.
Just to amswer above I think it is set to suicidal. Thats only because i saw it on the metaverse thing at the end I did'nt set it at that. And I don't know where I can alter it. I think it's been left off the options screen. Unless you can tell me different. Thank you

I have finnished the game twice (lost) and the difficulty level is set at suicidal when the screen goes to metaverse to see if I want to put the game up. I can't seem to find the control for difficulty. I have found advantage factor, but I don't think that is the same. To add to this I have noticed that it does'nt matter how many times I restart I never get the advantages the AI players get with regard to Size of planets (20+) usually 2 of these in a system, also the AI player seems to get syste
Yes but I havn't bought neverwinternights. Besides I thought the idea of a Beta was to pass such info back so the game can be improved.
I have been playing on XP. Simmilar to above. I load saved game and the second turn dumps me back into windows.
