I'm going to insult a Ironclad employee, but a new ship designer. Some are great the Advent carrier, the Kol, but others are just not spaceships. Vasari minelayer,Advent carrier.... Oh just one demand...strikecraft dock when no enemies in well.
Is it possible to change the look of ships once they are retrofitted? (Retrofit button would actually be a new ship model button?) It is possible to swap meshes if a research has been completed. However, unless the refits are actual hull changes and not just replacement and improvement of internal systems, there's no reason to change meshes for them.
This is a Major retrofit. it's hell expense and armor goes up 6 pts. A change in skin for a 6

Couple quick notes/questions: Excelsior model seems dark, even in lit conditions. Is it possible to change the look of ships once they are retrofitted? (Retrofit button would actually be a new ship model button?) Is it possible to give frigates names? A trek ship needs a name, even the poor bastards on frigates.

I played vanilla Sins for 2 years, I was ALWAYS TEC fighting the alien invasion. Now with mods, I'm either the Federation(SOA2) or the Alliiance (SOGE) or (Reqeuim). In role playing games where I have the option of playing both sides I always play the " hero". (Dragon Age and Fable come to mind). Is this normal? some kind of birth defect? Do people who play the outlaws grow up to be ones themselves? lol Some kin

psychoak, Ever think (if it's even possible) to link chance of assimilation (in addition to current rules) to culture levels? If I'm in friendly territory with culture levels in the high 90's it should be less likely to be assimilated then if I'm in the new frontier with levels in the teens, or enemy territory.

Since I discovered mods its really not that important. I played vanilla only for 2 years and just recently download a few mods, they will keep me occupied for awhile. I have a feeling they have been working on one, if it were anything else we would have seen rough sketches buy now to wet our lips.

So Frogboy what's the answer then? I expect some tinkering being a pc gamer, but you know the problems of mass confiqurations are there, how to fix it for your future releases. When you "hire beta testers" does the company actively search their specs or look for someone thats has a spec you havent tested yet? Maybe a larger "permanent beta testing staff" that you send your future releases to/ ( i know piracy )/ for testing. Maybe said game for free, it would be a small p

Game companies can get away with putting out unfinished/or multiple patch needed games now because the internet allows them to update when/if they want. During the 80- 90's they couldnt get away (or did) with this, the PC GAMER CD with updates/patches with it's six month lead time.

Quick compliment...game is stable to the point I forget to save.....and running smooth as silk w/ latest patch. And much love...to my new favorite ship..the sabre. Ships of the same type seem to react better in battle when grouped together, as opposed to tethered to a fleet. example : Miranda's as a fleet seek mines better than if they are part of a larger multi ship fleet. I think this is a Sins issue, but why can't Shelby's atta

Microsoft could end PC gaming as we know it, if they just released a keyboard / mouse controllers for xbox. Don't get me wrong, I love tinkering, but all pc advantages go away next round of hardware, especially if they allow you to hook up your mouse/ keyboard of choice, and monitor and your off.

Yeah I know pc gaming isnt dead....but take away ports, and you don't have enough pc releases to sustain a monthy magazine review section. They couldnt be satisfied owning the software end of gaming (windows) they needed to own the hardware itself...the xbox. Windows has to be the largest user base in the world, why wouldnt Microsoft just utilize this and squeeze Playstation out of existence? The graphics would be better, not be limite

I have built my own machines but unless I'm slower than normal , these updates and patches confuse the hell out of me. Do I save initial download? Or do I open it with? Is patch inside soa2 folder? or Sins Entrech mod folder? Any confirmation I did it correctly? Should I see patch listed in game as available mods? My current checksum is 174124182. And says available mod in game at 0.45e, is this correct? its 420 and I tired. who's will?and why do they keep firing on hi

I'm just curious to see how much money Stardock throws at this game. The core players have already bought it, but word of mouth has been terrible, so future sales are a question mark. Only so much money can be spent appeasing players who already purchased this game. I wish Stardock the best, but a month after release to still be discussing changing major game features is just weird. With the
