Looks like more and more games are being released with Steamworks integration. That looks like very bad news for Impulse boycott of Steamworks games (D2D gave up recently). http://pc.ign.com/articles/110/1108492p1.html
Looks like Worms Reloaded will be release in late August and will use Steamworks http://store.steampowered.com/app/22600 Preordered!

This is just estimate because NPD dont have data from Steam, D2D etc. IMO in 2009 50-60% were bought over digital distribution service.
I should add that I just bought it from Steam.
Every customer of D2D who purchases a Steamworks title is a customer that has more of a chance of spending money on Steam than on D2D.
While that is true, if you dont offer such game, customer simply will have to buy from Steam. Only difference is that "you" wont get even short term profit selling that game.

D2D just added Civ5 to their catalogue and it looks like other non-Valve Steamworks games will appear there very soon. When this boycot started I knew it wouldnt last. I guess there's a diplomatic imperative as well . I use Steam occasionally now because it's almost essential but frown on "digital-only content" in general. I considered signing up for Audible a while ago. I e-mailed them and asked, in the event

Summer sale is over. I spent about 70€ buying games from Steam during this sale. From comments on forum it seems that many people spend 100+$ and I saw some who spent 300+$. Sales like this will only increase Steams marketshare and in turn attractiveness to developers to use Steamworks.
And for Steam too since Brad has stated numerous times that Steam take at least 30% of the sales. After rereading some Brad's posts, Steam take 30% + a cut. I am wondering what is Steam's cut on those massively reducted prices.
Most likely same 30%
Yeah, I paid 40€ for 7 games on day 1 of Perils of Summer and I am looking for more good (and cheap) games I dont already have in my Steam account.
Tridus and Dale are correct, Steamworks is free. Also, for people who didnt notice, Firaxis is owned by Take Two (2K) so both developer and publisher are same company.

They might not even be allowed into their offices. It is also interesting to see people commenting that there is no way Valve/Steam will go belly up. May we remind ourselves
LOL! This subforum seems to have more and more Steam related discussions :)
