The Original Post needs editting or a new post announcing 2.0 is needed otherwise the greatest thing to hit SINS is going to get buried.

who cares, Vanilla is the unchanged version of the game and some lacking taste buds, decent sense of smell, ability to differentiate between fine texture changes and color gradiations might be overwhelmed if we took away their big mac and gave them something a bit more exotic. Frosty, once you enable the mod you can click a box so that the mod loads on startup -thus no need to reload the mod every time you want to play. I don't like the idea of someone modding our mod, but people are certainly free to edit/slash/rape our hard work into a version that suits them at the expense of ever being able to play in a MP game with anyone else since the checksums won't match up once you start changing things. The only thing we insist upon is that you never release
Do you mean the randomly assigned planet names and ship designations? Faction, Planet and capitalship names can be changed within the English.str file, but you might not be able to play with others in MP games due to differing checksums. look for these near the beginning of the English.str file: StringInfo ID "IDSPlayerAINameTech0" Value "Nitheim Rebels" StringInfo ID "IDSPlayerAINameTech1" Value "Trade Coalition" S
This is exactly what I missed leaving EVE-Online combat and getting into SINS... Ships that fire while moving/orbiting and variable accuracy.
why didn't you just host the map with txt extension in the OP for reading?

Wish there were an easier way. Why not use winmerge? Nice free program that lets you compare two programs files side by side. I just started messing around tonight looking at the entity files and Crimson editor and winmerge
Blair, I absolutely love what you've done with Galaxy Forge 3, I loaded in my 262kb GSDef for 7DS 2.0 Final and I see all my wonderful templates in the drop down box. I'll eventually use it when 7 Deadly Sins upgrades. Looks solid and VERY functional! BOOYAH. You might want to consider making the Template dropdown box longer... I have 106 templates. lolz. OCD/ADD 4TW! Same for the planetItemType box... 401 planetItemType need proper spacing.</p
few days............
Quality 4TW -I'm a partner and so far it's solid. Yes, give a few days for quality assurance. We don't want to pull a Microshaft and have everyone screaming "RED RING! RED RING! Red Ring O Death!" as happened because of rushing on the Xbox360.

Don't forget the tradeports and refineries for EVE -create as outposts, but with some defenses please. You can model some low-poly ORE ships as refinery ships and the larger T1 industrials as trade ships. If this is going to be a "TRUE" EVE-mod, there must be miners and haulers for pirates at heart to insta-pop or the game just fails to capture the spirit of EVE.
try looking at Solar Sins with rogue stars, think that might be what you're looking for. You also need to consider if new research is needed as ICE/Volcanic colonization research is primative compared to that which would be required to colonize a bright, blazing star.
*Gets out his trusty Bowel Distuptor II and sets it to "Fatal Intestinal Maelstrom" any questions? lolz
the main problem with modding EVE to SINS is you lose so much of the overall experience. It's really hard to smack when there is no local chat. Can't even post disturbing pics at enemy alliances while everyone is prepping for that massive capital fight due to ensue the moment the cyno blocker is popped... http://home.comcast.net/~futher/motivationals.htm Regardless, damn fine work so far guys.&nb
SINS 1.05 is pretty cheap at best buy.
Debug files are very different from "mini-dump" files. The semi-useful txt files generated by Dev.exe end up in the debug folder whereas the utter incomprehensible "mini-dump" files end up in some temp folder.
Teal, you'd probably need a tool to go through the save game file and extract all the fleet information, then export it into a scenario template (txt file) which you'd need to manually insert into the map and then set the scenatio template to Planet X for the player. If you had a good enough tool, Planet X -the homeplanet- would have a scenario template "DefaultHomeCarryOver", but also the homeplanet would need the defaulthomestart template assigned so colonization occurs, but usedefaul
... is it a structure or a capitalship or an immobile capitalship that looks like a structure or a semi-mobile capitalship that looks like a structure that cannot phase jump? Throw out some screenshots and/or video.
sadly, Star/Clad won't give out the sacred tome of dumpage translation -not even hardcode limit numbers. Do you have the SINS CD, might be able to do a total reinstall and patch to 1.05.
