that would also prevent anyone from having their actual rating. in one sense though, ratings are quite fair, since: everyone's stuff can get rated anyone can only give something one rating the ratings count equally wise old man, adni, others: do you feel it's wrong to give ones or other low ratings? i'd really like to know your opinion on this... do you feel it's empirically wrong to give low ratings?

plainsong: things like that might happen if it's an especially old theme, or if there's something wrong with the theme. rather than metamorphx, try duality. it has a theme checker built into it to make sure the themes are ok. also, in the readme it lists the filetypes which are compatible with it. also, their homepage has an aquarestore app if you need it to get back from the xp theme.

permissible fan art would generally consist of popular images illustrated anew by the artist. for example, if i opened up ps, took out the airbrush and made a picture of spiderman swinging into action with webs blazing, that would be all good. if i went to the marvel site, c/p'd some pics of spidey, and upped them here - well, that'd be all bad well, i could make it worse by putting it through ps

yep, it sounds like common names. it's not part of the os, but rather an ie add on. other third party ie add ons can cause problems like this as well. it's set by default to run automatically, but it may have been switched off in the preferences accidentally.

just doing my job, no big deal i was afraid i was focusing a bit too much on the negative, actually. space wallpapers, as jafo has said many a time, are very hard to do. it's helpful to spend some time looking around the nasa site, especially at the hubble images, and checking out some classic sci-fi illustrations before getting into one <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gi

you should give the latest version a try, and make sure you have the latest version of trayserver. it sounds like that may have been your problem. you shouldn't ever need to 'reinstall windows' to get things working again if doesn't work out. in your case, you probably just needed to unload the trayserver before un-installing dx. if it doesn't work out again, try emailing [email protected] before doing anything <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0

one of the most popular ways to do it is to go here http://www.enteract.com/~doc/charonsoft/index.html and get metamorphx 3.1 metamorphx is basically a theme switcher. the themes are actually independent of any program, being a single file that gets replaced deep within the system. the big difference between osx themes and xp themes being that there is no encryption, and theme files can be readily [and legally] switched without the need for any sort of 'crack.' it can be d

hi re the wallpaper: :: although space-themed wallpapers can be an interesting science or tech-oriented departure, this needs a bit more depth of effort for posting. the blue is perhaps not the best choice for a nebula effect, and might be better done with a mistier combination of hues. most nebulas in nature focus more on the purple and red areas of the spectrum. also, the lens flare and text,
