I just did a fresh download and install from Impulse and didn't encounter the Mesh problem. I agree, however, that it needs to be completely stomped out. Hopefully the release of Rebellion will make this a moot point. If the Mesh Error is still present in Rebellion...total fail!

You're logging onto Ironclad Online through the Diplomacy expansion, right? From the main menu, are you pressing the button that reads "Multiplayer" (which is for direct connect LAN games) or "Ironclad Online" (which is what you're looking for)?

Fresh Win XP install on new SSD -- Do I need to reinstall Sins? in Technical Sins Forums

This weekend I'm going to be doing a fresh install of Windows XP on a new solid state hard drive while keeping my older ATA drives. Will I need to reinstall Sins or can I just copy the application data folders to the proper place on the new SSD? What if the main drive letter changes?

Make sure that you're logging on to the Diplomacy server. (In the lower right of your screen, it should say "Diplomacy v1.34".) (Trinity is just a fancy word for "Diplomacy expansion".) The best times to find games are between say 2 pm - 10 pm U.S. Eastern Time. There are normally several 4v4 and 5v5 games every night. Of course, if you're new you'll want to play comp stomps (people v. AI) or just play single player for a while until you can manhand

19 hours is a long time. I only play PvP on ICO and I haven't seen a desync for a long time, but ICO PvP games generally don't last more than 1.5-2 hours. Maybe you guys just suffered from some bad luck. One thing that might help is for everyone to always start the Sins program fresh before starting a game or starting a saved game. I hope you and your buddies will come join the fun on ICO. The 5v5 games are the best.

You won't find much action for vanilla Sins. Almost all of the online multiplayer activity, especially the PvP activity, is on the Diplomacy expansion. If you keep your eyes open you might be able to get the Trinity pack when it comes on sale. If you're interested in Rebellion, now is a good time to start learning the game because you'll be up to speed once it comes out. You probably want to be able to manhandle the Hard level AI before trying to play other
