Not that friendly... I actually figured out how to work it, though. I think the problem was that I was sending them to a rendezvous point close to one of the friendly civ's planets before sending them to the enemy's territory.

I'm in a war with a civ on the opposite side of another civ I'm pretty friendly with. Trying to send transports across the friendly civ's territory to get to my enemy always seems to trigger a war as the friendly civ thinks I'm preparing to attack. Is there a trick to prevent the friendly civ from reacting this way?
Seems like the best way to learn the tech editor would be to look at one or more of the standard race tech trees in the editor. But I can't figure out how to open (eg) the Terran tech tree. When I hit Ctrl+O from the tech editor screen, I see Documents/My Games/, which does not contain any .xml files. Basically it's an empty folder. Searching for .xml files, I can't find any that look like tech trees anywhere in the GC2 directories. How does one go about editing
