Yes indeed,I too saw the cd version today as I looked for the list of everything on the Update.bmetelsky,,did you use dial-up??If so how long did it take?Just wonderin'.I have not had any trouble either, haven't noticed any speed differances though.Wish I did,
brazil
Yes,This is correct.Werd haz it,,itz got a probe.
yes,NO DIALUP!!This thing would take 6 to 8 hours even if your ISP could keep you connected that long,,,NOT!!Be sure to consider the BIG fix on the file name change. The TechTV show this was on is called The Screensavers and should be on yesterdays shows notes. That quick fix could save you a freaky situation sometime soon now the script kiddos and hacker buddies got the low down. It's a simple file search for a specific file, then a change, listed on the TechTV/Screensavers website. If nothing else
Also.just one last thing. If you have been keeping your machine updated regular, choose the Express choice, the second of the two.I have lots-o-speed and this thing brought me to me knees!!Freakin' torture.I might try a Mac soon,I'm really sick of this Micro$oft,"should have thought of that before"kinda of approach they seem to be taking. This is a HUGE overstite. One that has many PC owners scratching their heads. <img src
Just wondering if anyone has updated their XP machines with that huge new "critaical update" on the update page?I ran it,it took 45 minutes to download and complete!!Our friends at TechTV had a show last night about it and there is some very useful info on their website about it.For instance ,the major concern is a hole big enough to drive a semi thru. When you click on a redirected link it first takes you to your help and support page then erases your critical folders. If you are dial-up you mig
Thanks fer tryin e,I think I need to simplify anyhow.Litestep chewed me up, now DesktopX and Winstyles.I think I'm gonna stick with the basics for a while.Durn I already miss me DesktopX,but it will not fully load any theme, even after re-insatllation.I give,it wins,,,,,,for a while. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smile
Thanks elvee,I'm tryin, but when I try to delete the explorer folder it says I cannot another is n use.I'm only running wallpaper and windowsblinds.I don't know??!!
All themes are still affected, durn it.I deleted the Attacker WS theme but thw Winamp button is still showing up in the halfway loaded DesktopX.Is there any way to start over from scratch so I could recover my DesktopX fun?Is it safe to delete the DesktopX folder then reinstall it from Component Mngr??Is there any way out? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered
Yes I downloaded the Attacker suite,is there anyway to save DesktopX?Can you think of any resolve. It does not appear as if I can uninstall it,,can I??Thanks for you response.
I recently have been having trouble when I try to get DesktopX to load on any theme. The icons on the desktop that normally disappear during loadup only kink of go away. Some are still there and some are partially gone. But the end result is a partially loaded theme that is not so pretty. Can anyone think of anything that might be the cause of it??I did not have any trouble before but did notice after my first WinStyle App that this was happening.I s there a possible conflict between the two?I have
by the way,you got a big ol thread goin there!!144 and counting!!
I think I am all about that.Keep it simple ifn yer no up for Geekin' out,eh?I really like the cursors too.I seem to be stuck on Emissions.Just for curiousitys sake,,did you have the Wincustomize Browser open when cursors froze??
Freakin who knows on this one.Sometimes the more I try to improve my computer the more backwards steps I take.I have no explanation for this. And,last night I tried my first Winstyles theme and DesktopX will now only load halfway then freezes.I can't fight it anymore.Goin back ta wallpapers-n-windowsblids fer a while. So I guess you got your machines back together??With less RAM?? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/imag
well, strangely enough that happened to me as well.Twice today and once last nite. One time I was clicking on the Wincustomizer Browser.I usually have it running most of the time my computer is up.Got XP 512ram.Seems strange we would be having the same symptoms,,eh??
Things seem to be working today,,much faster though!!I got a response from Stardock support that said it was a problem on their end and it is now fixed.Be sure to refresh your site data by clicking the veiw tab.Hope this gets everyone groovin again. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddl
durn,And I'll bet ya he got off at 5.
same thing here. The downloads look like they are too fast.I dunno,I got the speed.I hope someones looking,I just emailed support@Stardock.
I have noticed,It is much better.I am a recent subcriber and am glad to be part of this scene.I think youz guyz are gonna explode. It really makes computers much more fun. Many with machines do not know that Stardock is here.Maybe you could sell a "gift certificate"so we could send ObjectDesktop to other people with email.Thankx fer the Upgrade and keep up the incredilble work.I am hooked.
I completely agree!!I am running Gridscape now.It has been very easy to use and configure.I also have BoXXi on my log ons too.I think BoXXi is one of the best.I need more of yer stuff. There are indeed too many. All of them fantastic it's so hard to choose.I seem to be stuck on Gridscape right now though. </
be sure to try crosslinking your account with Stardock.Go to Wincustomize.com,log in,go to edit account and choose the crosslink click to do this.joetheblow already suggested this but I'm just trying to help.
make sure your icons are not hidden.
ya do have Icon Packager?OS XP?Wincustomize Browser and subscription?
I don't know if you should give up yet.In the previous thread I told ya about it seemed like there might have been a resolve.I just can't remember.sorry.The last thing I remember about it was, Web Blinds would function if Windows Blinds were disabled.I also think there might have been a setting somewhere that sorted this out.Did you have any luck locating the previous thread? <img src="http://images.
hey glen, can you check the path to where these files are going on your machine when downloaded?can you actully see them in Icon Packager?
I think there was a previous thread about it that concluded that this is a Webblinds/windowblind issue. It wasn't that long ago and might still be around somewhere.I don't use Webblinds for the same reason.I lose my favs.
