paxx,Have you made any adjustments in the preferences panel of Opera ? I am not having that trouble at all.DevArt of course,I haven't found a browser yet willing to deal with whatever they have done to that place.Anyhow, there are cookie settings and such that are better left at default,IMO.I tried messin' with em' once and wound up with the same thing you got goin' on.Mozilla/Firebird? Skinz Blah,,Opera ? Fantastic Skins,Features,Speed,Hot list,Wand, tons of other stuff.Absolutely well worth SUPP

There are really only 3 Choices,,,Opera-Mozilla/FireBird-IE.Most are using MS Engine,,except of course Mozilla and Opera. They are all fast with the right configuration. You can't lose. They are all very decent browsers. But when you stack up all the features and skins and support,,Opera is clearly the winner.Although I have no Idea how it will run on anything but XP with a ton of RAM.So I think you are right jtb to be cautious.Be sure to take a look at the most elegant skin collection for Opera. <
And BTW,You can go talk about LitSTEP a bit further down where we have our latest hobbled StarDock customer.I am sure jmcjmk could use your LitSTEP help.
This thread has so much more potential than this.Unbelievable.
Another happy StarDock customer,,,Durn that LitSTEP always brings em' back for more,,eh??
Well,,I must admit,I have all these browsers on my computer. They all have stand alone unique features. They are all fast,With some customization.MyIE,my last browser love affair, ended with the release of the latest version that would black screen my computer because of a conflict with WB.Avantz very cool, kinda boxcar, still has issues with WB as well,i.e. Favorites menu display-very ugly.iRider very cool too,but the skinning iz non-existent and all based on the already exposed as insecure-no tabz
Opera is an acquired taste. It iz quite a bit different than any of the other IE imitator's or even Mozilla/FireBird.The skinning,in particular is absolutely astounding. Some of the best skins on the web,IMO.They also install by a click.None of this put it in the right folder and then guess which option the author used to pack it.MyIE2 Skins with WindowsBlinds will crash your machine. paxx-I do not have a good answer for you but can point you to Operas boards.I can safely say they are some of th
If you can get by no the flimsy,non-tabbed,Fisher-Price look Microsoft IE then more power to ya' homeeeeeeeeeeee,,,,,,,That means more Opera for me,,arar, hehe.
Tip of the Iceberg,I think,StarDock and WindowsBlinds gonna be huge,Way ahead of the times but when everyone finally catches up-You're already established.Everyone wants rid of the Fisher-Price MS theming,I think.Great news iz any news, they say in the Biz Mosh Pit.
There iz something out there that claims to make tabz an option for IE,I installed it but could not find it on the toolbar after I did.I can't remember the name,,,,,wait--------Microgarden,i Think. If anyone else has used this with success please post something here so I will know itz me or WindowsBlindz users.Be careful with MyIE2 as well for the latest version, with MyIE2 skin applied will freak WB out. <img
and,,no matter what you tell yer machine,,if you click the link on the previous post and can get it to come up in anything but Ole non-tabbed IE,,please let me know how to do it.
I also forgot to mention that, from what I gathered on there Beta Boards, they would like to have some new people check em' out.I'm running the latest beta now--no problemz. http://my.opera.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=31
I,Seriously-Seriously-Seriously am Hooked on Opera. It is just unbelievable. You should go check out their skin werk,,dun it iz phat.No kidding jtb,,Opera is worth every penny. The settings in Opera can either make it the fastest browser on earth or not.I have mine wide open except fer pop ups,and it screamz.Everywhere but DevART.I haven't found any browser fast there here of late.Ya' can't lose when you can get MyIE2 for free or Avant,Green,Crazy,Mozzzila/Firebird,i.e. not IE engine.Opera is an In
Thanks sig101,just installed and tried Weather Pulse. While both progs are different and have some great features,Weather Pulse iz the grooviest,I think. It iz truly skinned while WeatheWatcher has a face of itz own. But,dun, there iz a lot o' stuff on Weather Pulse,,,the winner.
That particular Object has never worked for me either,,It totally crashes DX for me every time.I do/will not use it anymore. The program called WeatherWatcher is much easier to use and has a lot of worldwide maps/radar to look at.I also have noticed that ANY of the weather objects cause DX to run much harder, while other more informative weather progs run about the sane as YZ ToolBar.About 4 to 6 k instead of 20k for a weather prog that gives temps, and potentially crashes DX. <A
I have been downloading and using StarDock software for quite a while.I have never been able to get this prog to work,,nothing but trouble for me.Don't need any more,,got plenty.
Thanks bordfryr123,I got that build in my Downloads but I do appreciate it.I was hoping to find out more on there boards.Something tells me they are being hammered or have found a big nasty bug in their current/latest build.I was on the forums earlier and saw quite a few threads about the latest freakin' folks out.I will try not to install newer versions until I see their feedback on their boards.I have never seen my computer crash so hard,,I mean it hit the floor hard.Beware MyIE2 users,,,,, <
What about that toe nail/Lamisil commercial,,,YIKES!!! If you watch closely at the end you will see that the little fungus devil escapes and crawls away.I guess Lamisil makes it better,,it will not kill the fungus devil.
Thanks for your response's,I have tried everything I know of and GhoS suggestions.Still getting lots of error screens,,I stopped and closed before crash, uninstalled latest build again,,back to previous version,,All good there.MyIE2's site and forum are unreachable for me right now.I dunno whatz up with that. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by S
It is official, one post on the MyIE2 forum states, I disabled windowblinds and the problem went away. However, I never had a problem using your browser with windowblinds in the past, and I hope you will fix it so that windowblinds and MYIE can coexist in the future. Maybe in your next update. Thanks . End of copy-n-paste from MyIE2 Forum. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/
Yes big K,I would have not even considered installing it had I known about the WB issue. It took me an hour to recover.I thought It was just me but the message board at MyIE2 says otherwise.
I was just wondering if anyone has tried the latest build of MyIE2.It completely crashes my system,,lots of error screens.I just visited their forum and they are suggesting to disable WB on MyIE2,Not gonna happen. If I have to look at my favorite browser without WB I will find another. Is this been an issue with anyone else? Thanks for any responses. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN
alicizmar:Try to find a way to slip into the latest build,I know what your talking about though.I have many themes I left behind for the new build, but must say I do not miss them at all because of the new, more stable, scripting enhanced builds.
ama02,Go get Ad Muncher and point it to the WC Browser,,no pop-upz or adz...... http://www.admuncher.com/index.shtml
Do we,OD Subscribers, already have this?I'm guessin' so.DesktopX is more fun than it has ever been.I am looking forward to the real deal,,,DesktopX2,,,WooHa!
