goodmorphing:I am sorry to hear about your trouble. My WinBrowser and SDC opened ok but some things are acting weird.Did you use Component Manager to update WB?I use System Restore but it always freaks something out,,I love it and hate it at the same time.

Thank you NikkiCat,I am officially giving up.No more for me.My system is acting strangely as well.
Well I guess if you call wiping out my entire library "a charm" ,then I guess it worked for me.?By kooking at the About link in WB ,I have no idea what version I have. But I can tell you by using the Componet Manager to update my WB I lost all of my skins.
Me too,Stark23x.I have just posted my issue. It's the same as yours.Be sure to set some System restore dates for fall-back safety.Things seem a bit unstable at the moment. Many have stopped updating and will wait for the final release. After todays failure I am thinking about joining them.
Old Grab=Old Crab,,sorry OC!!
Old Grab,Try Tools/Edit Stardock Account/re-enter your info or if it's correct click OK.Seems to have worked for me.I had to do it everytime I opened Version .93.It appears to be sorted now with .95.Hope this helps, look closely at you settings as well.Re enter as needed.
QuickTopic,It is used at Boing Boing and is free.I use it on my site and it is for sure one of the best,IMHO.I mean if it's good enough for Boing Boing,,it has to be good.
I installed over .92,,no problems.Do not forget to resest your chat settings and be sure to check your account info for accuracy.I have had no problems at all.
The WC Browser is for sure a must,,but keep in mind if you go anywhere else besides Stardock you will get hammered with pop-ups.I use it for nothing but WC.It would be nice if the WC Browser had this blocking functionality.Until it does I will not use it to drive on the WWW.On the other hand I use it everyday for WC. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by Sk
Go thru the News links on SDC.
The only way to go is ObjectDesktop.Buy the whole thing with a subscription to the Wincustomize Browser the you'll be set.The server access is never a problem and you get free Premium themes as a subscriber. You will be surprised how much you use it.Once you have the Programs then you download as much as you want.A great deal if you ask me.Go for it all you won't regret it. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smi
I originally ordered my new Media Center system from Alienware. There are no words to describe how awful and painful it was dealing with them for just a few days.I then started looking into News Groups for more info of other OEM's selling Media Edition. There is where I found more dissatisfied, disgruntled AW owners, all of which were shipping their machines back and paying a restocking fee of 500$.The descriptions of Tech Support most left on the NG were horrific.Their box is far to small for the h
It really should be easier. There dose not seem to be a universal way to deliver this stuff to us.I just did the Doublet theme with WinZIP,it worked for me.Have you tried, when it asks to overwrite, yes?
WinZIP,Right click/extract to here-Themes folder/Sysmetrix.Usually works. But from what I understand, which is very little here lately, the folder has to be named Exactly for Sysmetrix to see it.
Windows Media Center Edition,120 gig HD,1 gig RAM,Nvidia,Boston Acoustic,,Gateway.Steer clear of Alienware though,,,,
DX is ultra-cool and should not be thown to the Bandwidth Hog yet,,,but as far as the clicks,,,one sounds good to me.Lets even make that a right click just to make the Mac er's mad..
Those clever folks over there at HoverDesk have a very clever way to drag the Zip file directly onto to mainform and it applys instantly. This to me is a very good idea.It would be very nice if we could do that with Sysmetrix.Just a thought.
FWIW,The three finger salute works just fine when the program actually loads itself completely,,if not the Task Manager is a million miles away, having tea with Sting.Good luck getting it's attention.I do indeed like RazorArt but in no way connected to it.Shucks,I'm just a simpleton wanting to click to download then click to apply.Thats why I have given Stardock lots of money.I was hoping someday everything will be as easy to choose and apply as Windowsblinds. <A HREF="https://www.wincust
I dunno kona, just had a look at StyleXP.I didn't dig it nearly as much as here.I think without a doubt this is the dopiest site on the Skinning thang. They are the best and they have the best,BoXXi,TreeTog,Jake11,Esorant,Ingui,DuoPixels,Voodoo_Freak,and there are so many more too.I know it is an impossible task to take into consideration all of the different configurations of all the OEM's.And until this last move Stardock has busted everythings been very smooth for the most part. There is no doub
WinStyles is what ruined my last computer. It never recovered fully from a version install,I do not remember which one. This happened before my close and intimate relationship with System Restore. But as of today of all the programs available on OD I can use less than half of them with confidence.CursorXP.I have booted into a frozen cursor since the new version many times.FX,drops all viewable content on restore.DX,hence this thread.Litestep, never again.Objectbar,Mac Mimic and bugs.WinStyles, crash
Please JM33 more details on the WindowsBlinds meltdown!!It almost happened to me as well but I've been swingin' on System Restore like monkey-bars.I set a SR date before and after EVERY Stardock update.I have made the choice to test the new stuff but learned my lesson the hard way too,,a new computer. You are a fantastic artist and do not think you should keep the people from your work.We are all freaks that say things we don't mean in the heat of the moment.,of course I am no exception to this r
I wonder as well how much longer the "Help" link on the DX page will actually take you somewhere you might learn something instead of the dead "Help" link on the LiteStep page.Someone should fix that.It has been useless for a long time.At least delete it if it is not going to offer any support.Dead links speak much louder than words.I can only hope DX will be sorted and not head down LS's path.Although after reading about other peoples misery with DX of late I would not put much money on that be
I guess what I meant was DX used to be something I used with confidence for a long time. But with all the changes here lately the "Power User",I.E.,someone who has time to reformat and re-install OS instead of enjoying Digital Nirvana. Now DX as well as LiteStep has become unusable for the average user. Now with DX we are faced with Registry editing and file installing.Well not for me and I hope to help save someone, anyone lots of time and frustration by steering them around these programs.I have s
Myself,,It would appear that DX has turned into LiteStep. It was nice while it lasted though.I will miss it.
Cursor XP update still crashes the program.Object Bar will not update.I do like it lots though!Good work Stardock and crew.I bought another year of OD just to celebrate.Computers are a real drag without Stardock,,,hopefully the CursorXp and Object Bar issue will be fixed. Thanks for the upgrade and hard work. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by SkinBrowser
