if your team has 2-3 deaths on their side early on it isn't that hard to make a come back if you are actually equally skilled as your opponents and they just got a good combo or your team messed up a bit in the beginning, but if your team just is weaker skillwise then the other team you probably won't be able to turn the tide.

AI doesn't cheat on Normal Difficulty Settings I think.
Daiwa, mankind might not be able to maintain the current state, but mankind is surely able to massively change the current state in a way which is potentially harmful for mankind - be it CFCs (30 Years ago it was denied that those are harmful and people acted despite not having 100% prove) , atomic bombs or emitting green house gases and it doesn't hurt to reduce the number of potential harmful factors.
Well... Wikipedia. There ya have it. Just another example of 1970's media hyperventilation based on... nothing, I guess. I doubt any AGW advocates had anything to do with that wiki entry, either. You bore me. The burden of proof is on those inisisting on drastic change. They've failed to meet it.
when it comes to areas like medicine and food the burden of proof is on the side of the agent who wants to add something to the existing foods / medic
As long as it doesn't start including gear and items, that's going too far imo.
I totally agree.
combat mana potion has a cast time of only 0.3 seconds. If you are a really fast reacting player you need at least 150ms to realize your enemy is using it and then you have the default net_lag of 200ms which means your enemy will be able to start casting his spell before you warped out with the 500ms casting time warp stone - And if you wait til he has finished the potion you are dead already.
This. It keeps me on my toes and forces me to treat any demigod as a serious threat at all times. The rook is a perfect example. If I could always see his mana I would be fearless against him with a melee DG as soon as his mana bar dropped. As it is now I always have to treat him with respect and caution, ever fearful of that massive hammer. I enjoy it this way.
lets say you'd see his mana bar is empty, how would you know he doesn't have a potion in his bag? Would
it happens with all items and skills which are triggered once you press the button/hotkey (those where you don't have to issue an target) and it definitely happens when you give a move order (rightclick) right after you activated the item/spell
Information on your enemy should never be completely available. (That's why the Fog-O-War is used so often in stragety titles, guys.) Demigod should not be an exception.
Yah giving away all info is bad, but you need to provide the players with enough information to actually make decisions which are based on something else than guessing. Just take a look at the most successful RTS which has Heroes and spells in it : Warcraft III. In Warcraft III you do see the mana of th
okay so I see he used 8 spells without drinking a potion but what does that say me for the next encounter? Absolutely nothing, he might have sold the item or give it to an ally or get another mana item to be able to cast 20 spells in a row. Your information on the enemy mana pool is always totally outdated. Right now Items which give mana are the ONLY items which give no clue at all away : Health and regen : seen on the healthbar Movement Speed : just need to take a lo
DatonKallandor, How do I know if his base mana pool is 2K or 5K ? Paying attention alone is not sufficient if you have too less information, with too less information it becomes a pure guess if he has mana or not.
That's player skill - predicting your opponent instead of being spoonfed everything by getting told every single point about your enemy.
How is showing the mana but not the items "getting told every single point about your enemie
nah, showing mana is only bad when you also see the items of your enemies (as in Warcraft III and Dota) as that completely reveals the whole situation players are in, but when you neither show mana nor items you reveal to less - you have no way of knowing if the enemy has mana. If you show the mana bar but not the items you don't know if he has a mana potion or not which should make for great gameplay.
I'm sure you can, Chirmaya only wanted to be a nice guy (seeing allied mana already gives you an advantage though)
shift+enter
Mana should be shown, I was against it at first but as you don't see the items of your enemy (which is good) seeing the mana would improve the gameplay, right now its too much of a guess game.
*Note: This is a User-Interface mod, so it doesn't require anyone else to have it installed.
Quite ironic given that we don't have mod support for simside mods but you can do almost every hack with UI-mods ...
its still in , you just need 10 kills without dying now. (I think it was less before)
actually if you have your minions selected and rightclick on an allied demigod the cursor will turn yellow and they will assist them. If the assist AI could be smarter is another question but it is in already.
erebus and torchbearer are missing in this version, they will be back in next version probably.
teleport as it is now definitely favours the defenders a lot - which is something I don't like.
take a look at the topic flurus ;)
don't want to spoil your fun but sunday is 8th of february.
USP ;)
I still fail to see how West-Berlin was occupied (okay they were de jure but not de facto) and especially how they were occupied by russians as you make it sound. If they were occupied they were occupied by France, UK and USA not by Russia and actually West-Berlin has been a island of freedom surrounded by a occupied country. Comparing West-Berlin to Kaesong (this special capitalist zone in north korea) would be a better comparison and even that would be very far stretched. And
In all the games I played I never bought a trincket didn't even know there is such things.
