IIRC Demigod sounds pretty epic. However in the recent beta the volumes of everything seems to be turned down. Could barely hear the DG music, but when I put my own on it was quite loud enough.
Out of beta already? That's pretty fast for Google. Usually the "beta" tag is permanent for their products. At the same time I've noticed that some scripts are not working with it. Yeah, they use a custom JavaScript engine called "V8" that is supposed to be lightning fast. But it's not something that has had a lot of testing on a large scale, so I wouldn't be surprised if it had a lot of bugs. My biggest questi
Achievements are what you get for individual accomplishments. The reason Communism doesn't work in real life is because you have to trust your government to split it up equally and not take it for yourself, and because there is no giant I WIN button. In Demigod, you only co-operate for a short period of time with any given players (or pre-arranged, in which case this is fine anyway) and the computer enforces proper distribution. There is also no logistics problems, etc. One snipe from
I did? Was supposed to go in Demigod Beta Feedback :D
You and your friends are pushing a lane. It just so happens that you get Sniped before the others. You have to retreat, even though your contribution was to get hit so that your allies could stay, instead of one of them going back. Now you get less XP. I think that experience and gold gains should be totally shared amongst the team. This means that for killing creep X, everyone gets 1/5th of the value. Same for gold. If you want that item fast, that's fine, but your entire team pays t
You mean apart from the insane XP you get from clearing a wave of creeps on your own?
This is a bug left over from SupCom I think, but I cannot think of any situation in which I would want to scroll instead of using the zoom.
He would have to excess 4GB of RAM usage. With 9 of the hardest AI, after a long game, it could just be a memory leak that's too small to be noticed in a normal game.
Does what it says in the topic title. After a time (no idea about what time) your game is no longer on the list.
Basically the matchmaker doesn't stop you from just opening another copy of the game and logging on again. I joined a game twice.
Well that is the choice people have to make i gues.... a weak early=strong late. Thats just the way things should go for a balanced game.
No, that's the way things go for a piece of shit game, because the outcome is pre-determined by the relative strengths of early and late game. How it should work is that every Demigod is equally strong at every stage.
You must have the game installed to view replays. They fundamentally lose a major part of what they are if you make them into videos. In a replay you can view that battle from whatever angle you want, etc, and the file is tiny. In a movie, you're stuck with the original viewer's viewpoint, and the file is massive. You can't just make a replay into an exe, you'd need ALL the game's data, so GB.
I downloaded 410MB.
The max number of towers you can get out is 4. The damage they cause is still negligible, let me elaborate: I was a level 13 rook with maxed out towers ( level 4 on the skill tree ) I bought up to the +20% damage + splash upgrade and the +30% hp upgrade at the citadel. The towers were hitting 100's on the nightmare level 23 regulus I was playing against . I unfotunately was only hitting 200 because I put everything into this tower path. The
This would make your choice of skills more important.. and solve the scaling problem.
That and your graphics card is the cheapest of the cheap with a technical support for DX10 and such but really can run nothing.
Yes, a lot of these things are already in the game like attack move, they're just not active.
We don't have two sides. It's an entirely artificial construct. Light vs Dark is just there like Team A and Team B.
Just push enter.
None is a bit extreme, but pros having significantly more than noobs is just how it should be.
That doesn't change my fundamental point, that you get them simply for playing the game, rather than actually being good, which makes them have little value. If instead you had difficult achievements, you could earn them quickly as skilled or not at all as noob, which would make them important.
If you AoE like mad and run around and such, it should counter creep spam. However I must ask where your ally was here? It could simply be that they won because it was "they" vs "me" rather than "them" vs "us".
I think instead of Pots the natural mana and health regenerations should just be upped. Health and mana potions are so cheap and effective, buying +regen items is simply not as effective. Why suffer this problem AND waste time going back to the item shop, when instead you could just have a higher health and mana regeneration.
These are all so generic. None of them are for doing special things, you just get them for playing the game a lot. They don't feel like achievements. I.E. In Left 4 Dead, you get an achievement for killing a Tank solo. Now that is HARD. There are relatively few achievements for doing something 100 times (although there are some). In Demigod ALL of the achivements are .. do X 25 times. What they should be is doing something HARD. Like, go on a 25-Demigod kill streak. And then,
Yeah!!! It's the old grey screen of death from SupCom Vanilla Beta. Minimize out, try to maximize and .. grey screen. Can theoretically change focus and windows responds.. but Demigod still overlays the screen with grey. Note that my second screen works as normal.
