[quote who="Lord Reliant" reply="9" id="2031051"]My preference would be: *Exisiting Vista users- smaller upgrade cost, maybe $50 or so; this would help to redeem Microsoft in the light of how poor of a job they did releasing Vista *XP users- a much higher cost, since 7 will be a much more improved OS, having the good things of Vista combined with the improvements in 7, too. Maybe no real migration path here, or not much different than an outright purchase?<br

Because all you do atm is stand at the health crystal, spawn, run into battle, fight like an Assassin, micro your minions a bit, and run back. There's no strategy to the minions you choose. You just spam the highest quantity of the best idol level. Then you go CHAERGing in. Then you go back out assuming you didn't die, regen mana at the health crystal, then you go back in and do it again. There's no intelligence to the minions. No strategy at all. You would use buildings because it ad

DirectX deals with so much more than OpenGL. As a professional development tool, I can't comment. However for games, DirectX does 3d, but also sound, input, and similar. Microsoft is also very supportive of prospective developers. Most importantly, since so much of the userbase runs Windows, there's little benefit to a Mac/Linux port.

Sacrificing a minion to gain HP is something that requires the General's presence and assumes he/she has been in combat. You can't fight your battles without your General right there in the front line, so they're not going to be different from Assassins. I think the main problem is this dependency. If it were to be that a General did not have to be on the front line to function as normal, then it would be better.

1. Make them gain experience and gold at the rate of their minions. I.E. If you put all spawned minions in one lane, you get full XP and gold for that lane, as if you were there. If you split between three lanes, you get a third of each. 2. Remove all cool downs and mana costs for spawning Minions. This makes the limiting factor travel time. Some minions should travel faster than others. Additionally, for idol spawned minions, I think it should be a 12 overall cap, not 4 of each type.

He was implying that the bug is that these games are NOT removed from the list. In Demigod's terms, hosting and joining are entirely the same thing from a networking standpoint, so if you can host but not join, this is why.

No no. I meant, it would be downscaled now at level one, not upscaled for level 25. How it is now would be the level 25 power. %s don't ever need scaling, because by their inherent nature, they scale. So I suggest that you say the average Demigod at 25 has 4000HP, then make it into 50% of base health over 10 sec, rather than a fixed value. Or whatever % you want. But virtually all damage and health should be used as a %, cause otherwise you get massive scale problems since the values

I don't think so. If they are underpowered in 4/5 of the game, they're not going to be earning much gold. Additionally, a Demigod with a full set of endgame items = most of the towers have already gone down and his team is supporting him. This would not be the case.

There's no chat in there. You join games.. that's about it. I don't see any friends, clans, etc. This is multiplayer, so about the people, and letting them get together. There's no social utility to the current system. It feels very lonely to pop in and look for a game.. in GPGNet I often drop in for a chat. I find that I just don't want to play the game, because it feels like single player.

[quote who="DatonKallandor" reply="2" id="1991968"]Resource trading really brings more downsides than upsides - especially in a situation where resource income is already shared or has a shared component, which is the case with Gold Mines. Being able to give gold to other players would effective multiply the number of actual goldmines you control for one player. Eg.: Team 1, consisting of 5 Demigods, has 1 goldmine. That goldmine provides each player with 1000 per timeunit. But whe
