This is a big problem. Some games also aren't showing up either. It's really annoying.
Ugh...time to break out the math. 20 Assails * 13 DPS = 260 DPS/sec. Let's assume this is early game and the Vasari player only researched 10% phase missle research. First volly is at 15% shield mitigation, and let's say it take 3 sec to reload (DPS*3=630), so damage is (0.90 *630)*0.85+0.1*630=545. Next volley shield mitigation is ~ 70% for Advent caps, so (0.9*630)*0.3+0.1*630=233. So after 6 seconds, a total of 778HP have been dealt to your ca
I target Guardians with nano-bomb. One shot, one kill. Also, in terms of game lore, it makes sense that TEC would be focusing on hull hp and armor as they realize their shields are sometimes bypassed. The Advent didn't know any of this and will have to suffer the consequences.
From the way I understand phase missles, the x% chance it bypasses shields, it also bypasses mitigation. That is why teching phase missles for Vasari is so important. A 5% increase in bypassing shields can equate to a 5% to 10% increase in damage depending on the mitigation % of the target. Again, Advent are completely boned against Vasari in my book. Bad time for them to take their vengence out on the TEC.

Also, yes, Advent are boned against Vasari. In the end though, the races are very balanced.<

Top Vasari, not really. By the time you have a nova, your opponent better have a ton of trade ports, so HW econ doesn't really do a whole lot in the end game. Also, with SBs that prevent loss due to aux govt, the nova really sucks now and can be countered, hard.

Chances are that your cap will be able to survive a jaunt through hostile territory. Usually though, this ability is used to bring in reinforcements to the battle, not to withdraw.
Blair, Step one, create game (usually with ALLOY enabled). Step two, have someone join the game. Step three, boot said person. Step four, repeat step 2 & 3 until game lobby crashes. Z-axis movement user guide: Assign hotkey for Z-axis movement. I use"`". select fleet or ship you want to move. press the "D" hotkey. press and hold "`" while you move the cursor where you want to move the ship/fleet to. release "`" and left-click mouse when you have your destination finallized.
To be honest, I've just started seeing you Top Vasari. Scoutter, I might have played you once. In order to make it on this list, I need to have at least seen you online and know you are tier #3 or higher. I would probably put Top Vasari as Tier #2 once I get around to updating the list. I need to move a few people around.
crash - first off, I think it's actually 25% mitigation and some of the figures are from August, so they need updated. Second, 25% shield mitigation reduction acutally means about a 40% damage boost. Now you know why the cielo designate target was increased from 25% to 40% damage increase. Also, many Advent ships will explode prior to their shields being depeleted. TEC on the other hand, have no shields to begin with (relatively speaking), so usually the shield

I'm with JJ, I would like to see this happen again, and more clan vs clan matches.
Doesn't really matter, but those figures were for TEC. And yes, I found this out by doing it to a guy. The guy probably never even heard of the Kostura cannon before. After his fleet died, he said, "WTF is that?"

Just FYI, it takes 14 shots to kill HCs, and 16 shots to kill carriers. These figures are for late game fleets with full armor and HP upgrades.
