You better include some more of that awesome Reaper music like you had in your video. Fits the Xin perfectly IMO.
SpardaSon21
Yeah. His mod will have some of the biggest, most epic ships ever. A Xin Battleship dwarfs standard vanilla ships, even capitals. And it's not even a Titan.....
You should download the additional mission packs. There's even a few campaigns in the works too.
It looks like a really, really n00b mesh maker. However, if its as powerful and easy to use as Helioforge says it is, then it may make modeling a lot easier and quicker, allowing people to spend time on other parts of their mod. Carbon: Who says that this is a solution looking for a problem? If Helio can make this do everything XSI MODTOOLS can do quicker and easier, then I wouldn't say its a solution looking for a problem so much as a pretty frickin sweet modding tool.
BTRL is a Battlestar Galactica game. It stands for Beyond The Red Line, and it is a free standalone based on the Freespace 2 Engine, which happens to be open source. As such, it is a space combat sim, and is designed to make you feel like a Viper jockey. Basically, he will become scarce, whether he wants to or not. And NO! GreenKey, this mod will not have Orcs, Covenant or anything else non-Warhammer 40K in it, due to Games Workshop's IP restrictions. Yes, I know, it's sad. I was h
He said he has pretty much all the stuff needed for a release of just canon material. If he's that close, then awesome. Time to show the galaxy what humans can do when they are pissed off. Klingons got nothing on us.
Why state the obvious?
Hey, you gonna include Halo's main menu music in your mod? Kinda hard to have Halo without the music.
You know what Helioforge? He's gonna be updating Battleships Forever soon to be even bigger, with bigger ships, bigger arenas, and Internet Multiplayer, so you can blow your friend's dreadnought to bits with a few corvettes and flame him afterwards for not covering his flank.
Some ships actually were crewed by Brutes. See Contact: Harvest. I personally would give them a "Berserk Rage" ability with increased weapons damage but they also take more damage.
Yeah, the Consortium was a half-assed "be the really bad guy" thing. Almost anyone would have been better than them, even the Ssi-Ruu or Yevetha. Hell, I was glad when the Yuuzhan Vong attacked. The whole Rebellion/New Republic and Empire blowing each other up was really just getting annoying at that point. Star Wars needed a change before everyone got sick of the same stuff.
Sins would be great if we do some Battleships Forever moves, like strafing. That would really give frigates an advantage over cruisers and capitals, them being able to move around to their ass and fire right up it.
In the galaxy forge, the only limit is how much your comp can handle before melting into a pile of goo and burnt circutry. That being said, I don't think I've ever pushed Sins to the crashing/breaking point. Its pretty damn robust.
Lost, as soon as you finish the TEC up, you can e-mail me the files and I can tag them for DANMAN. Both of you have more important things to do, like DANMAN finishing up 7DS, and you making the next version of your mod. My e-mail will be in a PM. Don't want spam.
It's a free, top-down tactical space combat game with ships. What makes it interesting is the fact that ships can strafe and even fly backwards, allowing smaller, faster ships to strafe behind a larger ship where it has no firepower and chew its ass up. Also, it has shields which only affect a few pieces of the ship at a time, creating an invincible area but leaving the rest of the ship wide open. It has point defense for shooting down enemy projectiles, however they can't affect beam
Hey Skyline, love the mod, love how it adds a lot more depth to the game, especially in each race's area of expertise. I think you should ask DANMAN for his Sins Plus and Solar Sins mods for even more planets and bonuses as well as different stars. The new Bailknight's or Lost_WLD's couldn't hurt either. But this mod really kicks ass as it is now, those would just make it even more kickass.
This just in: Unity will have shield penetrating beams, very late game of course. However, this means all those Unity beam-wielding ships will need to be taken a lot more seriously, especially the Radiance. And yes, I just made the Illuminator even more overpowered. Hey DANMAN, next time you see this you should check out the SINSounds mod. It's really freaking sweet. It's kinda like Bailknight's Graphics Mod except its for sounds instead of effects.
Well, Sins uses .TGA files for unit pics, so anyone wanting to make a custom pic has to essentially make a very small texture as the pic. Which is less important than getting working, balanced ships in-game. Although, if anyone were willing to make thumbnails and racepics, I'm sure DANMAN will be glad to have them on the team.
Oh, and, what's the TCA's Titan, hmmmm? Try to have the files to you by sometime today.
No problem. You might also want to try the new Unity and Dark Fleet as well. I just finished the Unity's own TITAN class ship....the Tempest Cruiser. It is a super carrier, and sports 8 squadrans of strike craft. It is devasting when used correctly. Just be sure to protect it. The Dark are also getting some new toys.... DANMAN
So DANMAN, you want me to do some shield penetrating beams for the Unity? Or would that be too powerful? Oh, and I forg
Damn it! That was the EXACT URL I had! DAMN IT! And I don't think Affects_only_hull penetrates shields, it just goes splat and does nothing on them.
None of us can wait, but we all have to unless we want a crappy, poorly balanced Xin Hegemony. And NONE of us want that. Besides, ManSh00ter probably needs to refine his Xin Titans a little bit more to make them the most epic ships ever. And, he needs to make a few more videos for our viewing pleasure. If he makes a new video, he will be able to make a fortune selling us poor fans drool buckets.
Psssst. It's Zerg.
I'm guessing it looks like a Protoss's chair, except more evil. Or considering they have two knees, they can sit down normally and just have the lower part of their legs dangle we have ours do. They probably walk fairly similarly to us, except they have another knee to move. Which mean they probably sit similarly to us as well.
Haveing limits to make stability in the extream cases less of an issue dons't seem very future proofed does it? I mean what if one day we have a stable OS with lots of ram?!
You actually expect that to happen with Microsoft around? And forcing mods to use a certain, limited amount of resources really puts a crimp in them, especially with 7 Deadly Sins. And knowing DANMAN, he will try to make it as fast, stable, and beautiful as possible.
Well, looks like
