We're probably going to get a couple new research modifiers from this, too thanks to the new artifact bonuses. AFAIK there's no current research modifier for a flat rate of HP regen, global immunity to PJI's, or a modifier to phase jump exit distance.

Not yet. We're still waiting on the one guy with control over the website to put it up, and he's a very busy man.
Well, if your plan was to turn them into game-ender Experimentals, then that sounds better than the DotA heroes we have now.
Option 2 would be my preference, as long as you buff the stat gain upgrades to compensate.
You don't need to call it "MAC" though, since you can always generalize and call it "Gauss", assuming more than one race uses Gauss weaponry.
There's two different lasers, railgun, Gauss, plasma, wave, pulse gun, pulse wave, pulse beam, beam, phase cannon, phase missile, missile, flak, autocannon, planet bombardment, ion, point defense, dart, chaosbolt, and psionic surge weapons. Are you sure you really need more than that? Keep in mind races can share weapons no problem.
Well, that makes it much easier for Drian to add in the other SW factions/eras, then.
You could use an OnWeaponFired buff to give the Garda flak frigate actual AoE flak rounds. I ended up coding an ability like that for Sins of the Prophets, and trust me, the AoE damage can really stack up when you start adding a bunch of those ships to your fleet.
I've had a talk with the number 2 of the Sins of the Prophet mod team and their current plan is after they release their UNSC/Covenant beta they'll allow free usage of their models with credit given as long as you don't intend to use them to create a competing Halo mod. That still might change though, and until they do announce it there's no usage allowed, but I'm just letting you know the possibility exists that you won't need to model the UNSC and Covenant.

I would definitely use the New Republic and Imperial Remnant however.
Nightmare to test, nightmare to balance, nightmare to code. There's also the issue of assets for all these races. A lot of them are already made, but permission still needs to be obtained from the mod teams to use their models, textures, and effects. That list could probably be pruned of a few races that either nobody is really fond of or just aren't that important in their universe. Off the top of my head the Jaffa, Lucien Alliance, Vong, Sith Empire, and the
Well, the Novalith blows the planet up... after a couple shots. The Nova does the same, but also blows up everything in orbit, often with only that single shot, including quite possibly your own or allied vessels, so be careful. We may need to do a possible "No Superweapons" addon or something since all our superweapons were created back in the days of Entrenchment and its useless AI, and nobody wants to face the Atlantian God Machine 15 minutes in after a Cruel or Vicious AI chea

I don't even get what point he's trying to make.
I can't speak for any other Stardock forums, but the one I'm on gives zero indication you're a moderator. That needs fixing.
We understand what they're trying to do and then we stop them from doing it. We don't alter ourselves to fall in their line with their corrupted worldviews.

No, Gearbox created Opposing Force, not Counter Strike.
This mod is dead; however, there are a couple other 40k mods in the works that will hopefully not die.
I just sent Makon a message over Xfire, so hopefully one of us can get back to you soon.
Heh, yeah, the only ones who would see much use out of 64-bit would be us modders who cram a bunch of races into Sins. You should be asking for a multi-threaded engine, instead. :P
There aren't too many of those in this forum section, so you'll be fine. The vast majority of the posts will probably be thanking you for releasing a mod with all these races in it.
Don't. Assuming people always follow your instructions is a bad, bad idea since a lot of the time they don't follow your instructions.
