Our EULAs typically allow you to install on 2 machines not typically in use at the same time. After that, we ask that you purchase additional licenses. Seperate partitions on the same machine count as one machine in my book. Just keep in mind that the more installs you activate, the closer you will be to tripping our activation system, and having to e-mail support to investigate and have your count reset. To summerize, installing on both partitions will be fine.

Good news: The service still exists in Windows 7. It's full name is the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager. Bad News: even if the service is running on Windows 7, DeskScapes will still throw this error. There will be updates coming down the pipes that will add Windows 7 compatibility, but for right now...we wait.

Did you install through Impulse? If so, try right clicking on the entry for Fences and select "Verify Application". This will check and make sure that the app was installed correctly.

Weird question: Is your clock set correctly? One of the more common issues with SSL problems is people having their system clock set incorrectly, and seeing certificates as expired when they are actually not. Also, make sure to check for Windows Updates. I'm not sure if they have had a root certificate update for Vista like XP, but we have also seen trouble with that in the past.

As a good word of advice, I would stay away from using too many of the Object Desktop Apps with Win 7 until we start seeing new betas that have been tested on it. Right now I don't think any currently available have been tested with Win 7.

@Viewpoint: Sounds like bad things are going on with your Windows Installer service. Try going to you start menu and clicking on run and typing "services.msc". Near the bottom there should be an entry for the Windows Installer service. See if it will allow you to start it. If it does, at that point try seeing if Impulse will let you install Sins. If it does not start, you may need to fix the Windows Installer service. You can try repairing Windows from the install CD and then updating, or

Rom123090: what are you trying to save before you switch? When you apply a new WindowBlind, any that you have used previously will still be there to switch back to (unless you explicitly delete them).

You should be able to put in your e-mail and OD serial number. Even though it's expired, it should still activate your application. Your subscription expiring stops you from getting updates, not activating/using the applications.
