The latest version of WindowBlinds does not add the extra settings to your display properties by default. You can run this to enable them: http://sd.stardock.com/curthendzell/enable_appearance_properties.bat Google Chrome does it's own skinning in XP, which overrides what WB is doing. In Vista it does get skinned.

Impulse will get you the latest and greatest version of WindowBlinds 5, but 6 will give you the best results for Vista. You can get it for the upgrade price here: https://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/upgrade.asp
for anyone else with this issue, disabling nwiz.exe from your startup through msconfig will do the trick.
Just to clarify, when support requests that you disable any security software, we suggest that you do so TEMPORARILY, and for diagnostic purposes. If disabling your security software does not help with the situation, please make sure to re-enable it. If disabling the software does help with the issue, we then suggest you try adding exceptions for the app being interfered with rather than disabling your security all together.
it seems to be dependant on what image is used for the Explorer background and how the image gets tiled. Ok, can you specify what size image should be used and tiled in what way? Do we now have to go back through every theme now , including all the stardock themes (I use same setup in all my themes for the background) and fix them and resubmit, get moderated? Or can it be fixed in the WB process?[/q
Most of the retired apps are retired for a reason. Alot of them have not been updated for some time, nor tested with newer updates to XP (such as SP3). If you really, really, REALLY want to use them, e-mail , but keep in mind that they are more or less provided as-is, and in many cases no longer supported.
DaveRI pretty much nailed it. Running as a limited user is going to be pretty dismal if you want to use most of our apps. Alot of the fun stuff done with the system requires admin privleges. Although it is possible to work around it with "Run as.." and other tricks, the overall experience will be MUCH better if you run as admin. It's unfortunate that security and convenience need to be on opposite ends of the spectrum.
What OS is this happening on? Is it also possible to post a screenshot? The Hotmail issue is more due to the fact that you can't access your mail on Hotmail via POP/IMAP (the protocols used by mail clients, including Outlook/Windows Mail) unless you pay for a premium account. Yahoo mail is the same way (last I checked).

The free MyColors themes get automatically added to your account throughout the year of your Object Desktop subscription. You may not get to pick from the ones available for sale, but you can always get those at a discount for being an Object Desktop subscriber. There is a link on the page for each theme that will get you the discount price.
Most of our applications will require admin privledges for the changes they need to make. If you are running as a standard user on the system, these sorts of issues will arise
If you go to esupport.stardock.com and click on the downloads link, there is a fix posted for this that may help. If it doesn't, write to
When you say you added the machine with the IP/Port, where did you enter the port settings? Lordie: run this on both machine and send the logs to : http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/enumerate_mpp_settings.bat
Correct. You have to unload and reload Multiplicity on the primary after any machine locations are chaned in order for the new config to be reloaded.
Sure, just add an entry for it in the primary machine at both locations. If you're using a password though you'll have to make sure it's the same at both locations, or that you change it when you move from one to the other.
What, no Konqueror usage? [e digicons];P[/e]
The most common cause fo SP crashing is a bad theme. Try moving all your themes to a different folder and see if it still crashes. If it fixes it, move them back one at a time until you find the culprit.
This one was a kicker to figure out. Using the reset data option in Impulse should fix it (Stardock Orb> Preferences> Reset data Button)
There are several ways that our customers can retrieve their software and licenses that they have purchased. Keep in mind that trial versions of our software are not upgradable to the full versions by entering a product key, and they must be uninstalled and the PC rebooted before installing the full version of any app. Here are the possible options: 1.) Go to https://www.stardock.com/support , enter your e-mail address to have your product info sent to you. 2
We get this reported alot to us. Future versions of Impulse will probably include something that will draw more attention to the other tabs at the top.
https://esupport.stardock.com Once you go there, click on the "Downloads" link. There is a batch file posted that should resolve this. Once you run it, remember to reboot your system.
OS? 32 or 64 bit?
wait, so did this happen after installing WindowBlinds or ObjectDock? ObjectDock really doesn't do anything that would affect your Windows Theme. Try opening a run dialog (WinKey+R) and typing 'services.msc'. In the window that comes up, find the "Themes" service and make sure that it is set to start automatically.
The issues with RightClick and IconPackager that you described are accurate, and we have reproduced the same internally. I haven't had issues with DeskScapes like you describe, and as Lantec said it may be time to try from scratch. Verification is basically just hashing all the files that are installed for a particular app and comparing the hashes against the known good list. in the case of some applicatons (like RightClick) where the list contains config files or anything
We've been able to reproduce this here, and it seems to be skin specific on hi res displays like this. Does the same thing happen with other themes, like Dragon (it's included with WindowBlinds)?
