It has this nifty little upgrade that's supposed to prevent loss of the planet while the Starbase is alive. Granted I haven't tested it in beta 2 yet if it works now, but bugged or not it's there (and will be fixed if it's bugged). I havent either. Im not sure how it works. If it doesnt prevent the loss of population then it still could be a major blow. Especially if its a terran hw and you just lost 280 pop and all the income you use to get. I think adven

You're crazy. As they are right now, torp cruisers own SB's. 5 of them will obliterate a fully-upraded SB in no time. Torp cruisers are also much cheaper than SB's. So will 20-25 carriers. Quoting MindsEye, reply 12 Some people(like me) do not like to play as vasari. Therefore giving one race huge advantages(like the egg) makes the game not nearly as fun. &
Carbon I agree with you about mines and what their purpose should be but I dont agree as this is a balance for the moving sb. Few reasons like the fact that vas have mines too. Also, mine cost money now so setting up a defense compared to a vas defense will cost much more for the other players. Advantage-Vasari all the way across the board. Offense ,defense, cap killing, planet killing, rushing and raiding with their sw. Yes I know tech has superior repair with bays and hoshikos but&nb
Some people(like me) do not like to play as vasari. Therefore giving one race huge advantages(like the egg) makes the game not nearly as fun. I have not played the beta 2 but only a few times(as it minidumps even with graphics all the way down) and 1 mp that md so I dont know how effective this moving sb is but when I think about it it sounds like a huge advantage. For one thing when enemy sieges a well with a sb that cannot move then they can kill it solely with strike by sitting back at the
Ill vouch for sith. I had good team games with him. [e digicons][/e]
I wouldnt really like the ships flying all over and across from each other as it would make it hard to select units and it would be hard to see what is going on. Its already to hard(to near impossible sometimes) to select a unit from the side menu. That really needs fixed. It is so annoying. A simple fix would be to make the top of the menu go up like the bottom does when it adds something instead of moving everything down and up.
But the main problem with dismantler is that their is no counter. Unless your fighting in your own system and have the repair bays you can't match our out repair the 30 dps to hull. And even vasary cannot neglect the -6 armor point with its support ship. And for each point of armor lost that means roughly 5% more damage done to target. So lvl1 -2 armor emans +10% dmg, lvl2 -4 armor means +20% dmg, lvl3 -6
This has really been bugging me online. I cant figure out anyway to counter it. I have even tried the revalation cap ship with its disabling ability. If you get in any fleet battle where its near even I cannot find ANYWAY to kill the egg before it kills my caps. They die so fast with just a few assaliants. They need to nerf the armor effect and increase damage or something. Unless you have massive bombers that can kill it in one pass cause thats about all you will get against a good player ca
Sounds like they should give you at least 4 or 5 seconds of play in there. Counting it down to the second is crazy.
So you have to use it right before cb which is hard because cb has a charge up time.Right?
Also if your playin the ai you can speed up time by hitting + -
I dont mean to clutter this post but when I tell my fleet to jump some ships get stuck and start jumping one at a time. Then I have my fleet spread across 2 or 3 planets. This happens alot.I dunno if its spose to be like this or not.
I was playin a game in 1.12 and I had a fleet with the rapture and the halycon. I told the rapture to go to a terran planet on the other side of the wormhole and I didnt watch it cause I was busy with other stuff. Then I checked on its progress of clearing out the terran and the halycon wasnt there but rather flying across the system AT REGULAR speed. I didnt notice it till it was like a third the way there and told it to go back. It took a long time.

I am a fan of advent. So let me throw in a couple pennies for them.... Advent i have to disagree with endgame. They may be tough but their carriers aren't actually that much better. Being 20 support vs TEC and Vasari 14 support they all are extremely balanced. 6.67 support per squadron compared to 7 support. Besides ffrom what i've seen vasari are only at strike craft disadvantage when they don't spam carriers. Going with vasari migh
Why thanks SlothSacks[e digicons][/e] [e digicons]k1[/e] I understand what the progen is for and it works great. However you have to clear the hostiles out of your system and either way it takes the same amount of time. So it seems like not a huge advantage in colony speed. I was askin in mid game. I dont see the progen offering mid to late game bonuses near what the rapture and halycon can. Halycon also gives its fighter defense ability. In a recent game I had my destras dps up
well i just noticed one advantage advent has in strikecraft. The rapture Battlecruiser gives all strikecraft a 30% increase in damage. So if you had 30 squads it would really be like almost havin 40 damage wise. Thier lack of hp and armor is still weak.Db0 that is exactly how I feel. I wanted to see some difference to play on.
The progen is great btw. Anymore tho I dont even build it late game. It is 4th cap ship for me now. I get the battleship 3rd now. Honestly I havent needed more cap ships. If you keep adding illums and hosts your bonuses become so great. The reason I opt for battleship is because rapture is kina fragile and u can use it to direct fire from it.
I might try it but i use to build progen first all the time in my early days. The trick to do what I am talkin bout is building them early on so you get thos bonus eeeeeearly. The progen doesnt have much role in my setup. Its great for gaurdians which are not a big role for me as they use to be. They are very important tho. Please explain how building the progen first will help out my fleet mid game so I understand what i am doing lol
I just read this and that round with mazou is pretty funny. You are totally right howdid that guy didnt have a chance. Sp people dont understand how different mp is. I mean its like a whole different game. Everything you learn in sp must be unlearned. I use to be a sp cause I have played rts online and always stresses me out. I decided to give sins a go online and its freakin fun as heck. Some of the funnest games of all time for online play. I also hate when you play like 3v3 or 4v4 and your
Lately I been switching up on my fleets. I been getting halycon first then I get the rapture and build at least 10 hosts maybe 15. The halycon gives 22% fire rate to all ships and rapture can get 30% increase damage for strikecraft. I usually get 10 disciples at start then after the hosts i build illums maybe 20. sometimes 5-10 flak depending on enemy. I also get 5 gaurdians. This has proved to be killer fleet for me anyway. Strikecraft can stand up to 10-15 flak it seems like. Then i upgrade
Its good to see someone else feels like I do. You guys keep saying static defenses are made to only stop small raiding parties but why not use them to defend. I would like my defenses to stop a medium fleet. Raids can happen on undefended worlds. Its strategy all about where and how much you spend. It takes alot of resources to build up all your tac slots I think you should have something worthwhile in return. BTW my opinions are geared for mp games. Yeah when you play against the ai it is du
Astax I agree and the repair platform is great. My only beef is hanger bays. Everything else is useful. Like you said without a fleet they dont do much but entrenchment will change that. However imo the hanger bays are not worth 6 tac slots in any situation. However this is just my opnion. I have came across some in mp and they have NEVER been a worry or issue for me. I have also came across a heavily turreted system and those are much more time consuming and trickier to defeat so they serve
I generally agree with jrla. I have not noticed Phase missiles to be a big deal. Has anyone killed a ship with lots of shield left. That would be its only advantage but if you have any healing support ships its easier to keep the ship alive as the damage is spread out. In that case it almost seems as a disadvantage. Ships that are being healed are hard to kill when all dps is focused on their hull.
