stardock does a number of other programs besides games, in fact if i remember correctly games is almost like a side business to stardock, or at least not their bread and butter
Stardock's primary business is selling underground volcano bases to evil villians. (Someone really needs to make Evil Genius 2) Anyway, Steam exposed itself to me... and I liked it. Whoever is to blame for sexy sales, I have picked up some serious fun from st
Tip: The money is on the consoles because console standard for FPS' are much lower. Gears of War and UT3 failed on the PC because they were subpar by PC standards.
Brad and Co. haven't said they plan on milking everyone out the gate with DLC right?
I don't think so, so you implie a good point. There isn't a conflict of interest if they arn't competing.

The real question, is whether it will still have that anmie feel (I don't mind all the pantie shots but my friend hates it and he hated the overland world in the original also). (The answer is yes btw, was a rehtorical question.)

Lets remember that if you actually take content from a DLC and rerelease it as a mod, they definately will try and ban/remove/stop you since your distrobuting thier copyrighted materials without permission. Considering that many (many!) mods have copyrighted material I can see 'false' drama being made (which my earlier failed joke post refrenced but was seriously far too vauge). If you can still install and use manually then there wont be any problems. &
I will fuck a cow
Horses are better. Now then, OnLive. Real-time youtube as my hourable friend-of-animals here pointed out is NOT gaming. Its a horrible idea, it closes the PC system into a console and destroys any modding. Trying to turn a PC into a console is kinda stupid IMO. If people want to play a console game, get a console. Why arn't there consoles with keyboard style constrols? It dosn't make sense, are there
Slight misremembering on Brad's part--the phase lanes came in at least a year before release (they were present in all public betas). Infinite resources was a very late change, though. The gameplay slowed to a crawl when you inevitably wound up scraping by on refineries alone.
What else did he 'conveniently forget'?

He means more code in the sense that certain side cases that arn't being handled by the state machine's simplicity will need traditional implementation. Now - I think hes wrong, but then Im assuming Brad* is a good coder by now. Amirite? * and any sidekicks he employs.

It boggles my mind that people buy games and exchange them and then other people come up behind them to save 10 bucks and buys them used. However, these people that are buying games and then exchanging them tend to buy a lot of games. They buy a heck of a lot more games than I ever have in a year. They buy it for 60, turn it in for what 20-40 de

"Are people here really that ignorant about Steam. You can just go into your game folder and launch it via the startup .exe and never have to even start Steam. this is one-time only internet activation for DRM." How many games on steam can you do that with? X-Com: UFO - Enemy Unkown (my name) does but anything from THIS decade? lol Anyway you missed ALL of the points about the argument, that seems to be a common pattern in this thread. Yes steam

If someone buys a bananna in real life they can eat it on the spot. They can eat it at home, on the street. They can have it in thier car or they can use it as a slapstick prop, stick it in a bag and pretend its a gun to rob a bank or they can stick it in various orifices and enjoy it that way. Id say thats quite a lot of "use-options".

Blizzard has earned much respect and trust - despite being allied with ActEVILsion. When Blizzard says "we are going to charge you three times" that means "we have three times more awesome for you to buy!" for many people. Considering I have loved every Blizzard game I've ever played (and they never released Ghost because it would be crap unlike many many games) Im giving them the benifit of the doubt.

Whatever the half-life of your Half-Life CD (did you see what I .. nevermind) the point is that you shouldn't be breaking some law or a contract to secure your 'belongings'. Digital or otherwise. (And yes I know half-life dosn't really fit the use above - it was for a failed joke ok?)
