Steam has more experience and is far far dirtier in its ways...

If it was proven that having an active steam acount got you interest from very attractive (and dirty but not physco) females (or whatever you prefer)... would you dance with your devil? Whats your Steam hate worth?
Okay. Are there any furry little kittens under it aswell? You know the ones that help you 'romance' all the desperate females?
It is the PC's territory. But Sony paid for most of Heavy Rain. David Cage would be homeless on his french? streets without sony. Still I hope they do put it on PC I loved (the first half) of Indigo but Im not buying a PS3 just for 1 game. Although the quality of certain console games is going up. I made need to actualy participate for the next genertion of conoles!
I think the size of the piracy issue in reality may differ from the size of the issue when talked about in company board rooms, if you get my meaning.
Cool, I know how to give vent to my emotions too! I need more practice though. Not enough flames and probably only 1 person in the whole forum will get the point. Also: WALL OF TEXT!!!
I like reading your walls. The rage that broke the thread page was powerful, but I agree with parts of it. Mainly that there isn't going to be one solution to this stuff, people need to be able to set thier game up with options. If Total War forced its 1 hour timer on m
I read lots of good ideas here. One clear apsect I saw is that people don't like arbitary limitations on thier ability to do what they want. Funny that. The only really big choice is the terrain choice. Handcrafted versus generated. My question is why havn't you got a system that randomly places hand crafted sections together with some random generation between them. I don't want that feeling of "oh its the same map again". Xcom did it best, even though I knew each warehouse, each hou

I agree with you completely on this. I guess I am old fashioned, I prefer to have information I can read through.
The problem is they have nothing to show and nothing to tell. But they still want some hype, so they try and use 'comedy' if you can call it tha
You expect stupid people to make that distinction? They see Impulse, they see Demigod. They make the connection. Anyway if I buy Total Annihilation Kingdoms 2 KnightsAndMerchants Stronghold KnightsAndCastles it will enterily depend on if its a good game or not. So far... not so muc
Theres something people seem to be forgetting in the equation of PC game sales. The user base of these platforms are NOT set for life. During the last decade many PC users have switched to a dual PC/console setup or gone straight to full console (with thier old PC for ancillary tasks like trolling internet forums). Conversly the number of console owners who "looked for more" that went to PC are few - usually kids who grew up with an xbox and wanted the "next level". *Note this is all
migratory patterns and pack forming
o_O I think vast majority of elemental players would probably want an epic battle between factions and dragons. Not trying to figure out the airspeed of an unladen swollow... These ecollogy systems I always think miss the point of the game. They fit in well in an ecollogy simulator where thats what your focusing on but when your focus is elsewhere they seem to be an extra layer of obfustification to the
I just cannot rely on something that isn't futureproof.
The future isn't even future proof. I don't think civ 5 willl lose that many sales from it being on steam, they might even gain more in total if there are some new fans coming in (after 18 yearolds right now were born after civ1 lol).
Tell me THAT would not be an epic game.
Called SimFantasy. :P
Quoting Tormy-, reply 58 Why should some trolls leave their lairs/lands? Looking for some human flesh perhaps? Btw just one word: MMORPGs. Some of those have "living worlds". Monster raids on cities, randomly generated -yet logical- events in the dungeons, cities or even on the overland map etc. Nearly always the events you are talking about are scripted or have a team of developers behind them (a "storyline" or "events
Does anyone know what the used music and used film markets are like?
Quoting Demiansky, reply 24 My point to Brad isn't to antiquate the player. My point is to make the player feel like he/she is actually part of something that is active and alive, rather than something that just looks active and alive on the surface. The thing is, does the player has any way to differentiate both cases? If she sees a pair of wandering trolls, is she able to know that they are raiding because there's a shortag
Quoting Bellack, reply 28 Well music is not important in the game because after all I can ply my own but unit and backround sound effects are important. If you have to scrap the music to add better backround and unit/spell effects for sound feel free to do it. Hmmm Watching Apocalypse Now with Hannah Montana as soundtrack... The Lords of the Rings with Blade's soundtrack... Oh, the possibilities!
What Wintersong (
Quoting Aractain, reply 54 Put simply - no MMO is half as good as WoW. I am not sure about this....they are not half as popular. Popularity |= being the best, but huh...this is a matter of subjective opinion I guess.
Okay its my opinion. As in its features, its playstyles, options and content are - in my opinion - far better than any other MMO I have tried (thats means the features fit me more than other MMOs)
They wouldn't do it unless they are going to make money out of it and they don't have to do it to stay ahead (they are doing that with game content - not external features). Put simply - no MMO is half as good as WoW. (THIS IS MY OPINION! Not based on popularity but how much I care about the game, the world, lore, story, features, options, my agency within the game etc) They are also the most popular western "sub" game and that means no competition, that means they can charge whatever
Using symetery is fine so long as the projections are correct. A lot of the Sins textures are set up like this.
Let me quote this for emphasis. There is quite a bit of mirrored geometery and textures in Sins models, its just that their tangent UVs are setup as a single group and the actual geometery is a single section meaning averaged normals and good tangents.
Lets not forget that when a Palandin of the Light genocides the undead, he might seem like he has "grudge". Also there is definately a difference between standing on a street corner preaching the word of your gospel and mudering the innocents to use their blood to open the hellgate beneath your stronghold. I dislike the idea of culling the local villages because they all *might* be unbelivers because *some* of them are.
