The reflective part of a sins mesh 'reflects' the skybox, i.e. an enviroment map. Its controled by the blue channel of the data texture. (-da.dds)

Is Familicide in? Useful for dragons after all....
You mean 'demo'.
Im seriosuly confused about those white dots myself, I saw a refrence to them being a driver issue once? They arn't something wrong with the model though (as far as I can tell). Its an anti-alising artifact.
Quoting Luckmann, reply 25Was it ever uphill? The correct answer. FPS has always been the WORST genre of gaming.
What genre? Games from a first person perspective or FP 'shooters'? I've seen ultima underworld described as a FPS, not to mention System shock 1 and 2. What about rainbow six or swat 4? OFP? The truth is people see FPS and think "OMG SHOOTY SHOOTY BANG BANG KIDDIE GAMES!"
What were the mesh errors?
I only switched to the glow off to get a more controlled enviroment (it was obscuring what was happening to the core texture). Adding it back on top might help?
No, this is the core texture: (well its a bit diffrent I was testing it without the bloom effect on which make it weaker so i brightened up the alpha but now its insane with bloom on lol)
This any better? Was playing with it for a few minuets trying to work out what does what. This is has no glow texture (alpha is full black) with just the core texture with a wide alpha with a full white center... dosn't look great but its a prototype for functionality.
Im recently replaying them and I've bought those games twice now (steam second) and they still outclass most other games in terms of value. Crazy! The first was the best because of the feel of the setting. Unarmoured troops with pitiful weapons walking out the back of a deathtrap with NO clue as to whats around them. Barns? They certinaly look the same after I've been at them. Explosives don't kill aliens very well (destroy useful stuff) but they are perfect for
You know so far, this game went from "uh?" to "hummm Ele Whu?" to "O rly?" to "Oh Re A lly?" to "Oh, really ?" to "Oh. Really." and finaly to "Buy." I rarely like fantasy races, the witcher did them quite well though (everyones an asshole, just like in real life - much more believable). I've seen quite enough 'pixies' and 'gnomes' that arn't dead (and you can't kill!!). So Im glad this game wont start out down that lane (right?? RIGHT?).<
I still have NO idea why the sins ships seem to have tangents that look like the very first picture while I thought your supposed to use the UV (of a special tangent map) which make them look like the second picture. Im also wondering if there is any use for the vertex colour value in the .mesh file (unrelated but whatever). I've got the above maps to a state im happy with, which is nice. Now I have to try and finish the rest of the script.
Very deceptive models then, when I tried to do something similar years ago it shot past 6-7k before I even added the turrets (for freespace 2). heh. Very good stuff btw. I especially like the nose on the Vindicator. Hummm wait, you use editable polys, I always use mesh (habit, started in Milkshape 3D). I.e. your using quads, I use tris. Try converting one to editable mesh? (Thats what the mesh file basicaly is anyway).
First thought: Oh My Polys. So many Polys! No wonder it takes hours to export a max mesh file for a 'simple' model. lol. 5000 polys can take 5 minuets or more, those look like 50k +.
Um I thought Civ IV was wildly simplistic and ive never played master of magic Then you will probably find Elemental wildly simplistic.
Its reasuring that the people that load up Europa Unirvisalis (whatever) 3 and imediatly say " Nice inteface! " arn't the same as me. Phew.
btw this 40" TV works great. Little big for typeing this post maybe but I will get used to it. Mainly its just amazing in games, Arma II is so nice.
For me its coop capabilitys that are important, its more than just alliances, its a full range of interconnectivity between whatever you happen to be in control of (be it bullets and healing in an FPS or resources and transport ships - which he always forgets to build). Im talking about Co-op vs the ai but it dosn't really matter what your enemy IS, its the working together that counts. Civ4 really hit that coop stuff well. Id like to see Elemental try for the same.
This better be the intro to a quest now. "My giant rat I was experimenting on escaped the small flimsy fishbowl he was securely placed in and is now raveging the country side!"
Get a full 5.1 speaker setup, strap the little speakers around your head and put the woofer on your lap then turn the bass to full! Now thats a gaming experince. Full body vibration with all explosions. Seriously though I WANT the megalodon (even just for the name) but I already have a 'crappy' Razer Barracuda which works well for Arma2 but whatever. I initaly disliked Razer for its gamer cheese slogans like "Get Imba" on the naga... omg. However time and time a

Modern Warfare 2, for example, does this. Having an option to download the mod a particular server is running without trying to join it would be very oh so cool. (Also is their a running bet about how long it takes before a full LoTR mod with THAT cloth map is out?)
GFWL - LOL what a joke. Is it possible to have the game fully Impulse integrated (which isn't even finished yet) AND full steamworked up? I have no clue but if so, then good competition would make that a more realistic reality right? I don't think its really the customer's job to make that happen though is it?

My friend convinced me into getting a 40inch 1080p TV instead of a 24inch mointor... im very scared as to what it will actualy look like when playing games and using photoshop... [e digicons]:S[/e] Of the actual 24 inch mointors that HP certainly reviewed the best and I saw nothing on the others which would sway me away other than price.
All I want is a actual co-op campaign in Empire Total war, I mean not being able to play co-op tactical battles? WTF? That was what I was looking forward to since 2009! Sure there is some nice co-op in '10 with C&C4, Splinter Cell Conviction, WoW Cata, Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead and some others. But I wanted my wittle cannoys and my wittle swippys. In Co-Op. Real Co-Op. ...Autoresolve my ass.... forced compeative... bastards... SupCom 2 and Mount & Blade: Warband are gonna b
