(came to the realization this is basically a private discussion, better not to butt in. Keep up the good work, guys.).

Technical bugs seem to be pretty much killed off, but that's beside the point: If you're not in a hurry to get a game, it's a good idea to wait for the price to go down. Doesn't work for high profile EA games in EA Store and similar, but other than that, there'll be sales etc. enough that you should never pay full price for a game, any game, that you're not in a rush to get RIGHT NOW.

What, Serenity is from next year? :D Well, yeah, Firefly is a pretty good show, and it is a 'western'-style sci fi story. Clever writing, good dialogue, and likeable characters. I do recommend that one. Think of it as 'Han Solo as written by Joss Whedon.'. And yes, Farscape was also quite watchable and then some. I'll second that recommendation. Stargate is a bit more iffy, the first series is rather outdated, but Atlantis and Universe is decent enough; I'm liking Universe qui
1: No spies. 2: Research: Build archivists, libraries etc. which grants either spell or technology research points. You research 1 spell and one tech at the same time. Techs are divided into five areas, you research an area then, when research is complete, you choose among a random set of technologies within that area. Some technologies are more rare than others, although if you don't get it one time doesn't mean you can't get it later. Spell research is more predictable. 3: Y
(topic covered allready, I just didn't see page 3-5.) So... uh... Jay! More info! :D
I have four A4 pages of passwords written down for various web sites and services. Typewritten. Different for each, although admittedly many are variations over a theme. They are a mix of alphanumeric upper/lower case, but usually not symbols. One VERY good reason to not use one password all over was a post from a webmaster, mentioning that an asstard on the forums had been a pain, but had used the same password for other websites as for that one, and had been easy to .... make troubl
I like Civ V, but I would recommend waiting until Civ V: Warlords and Civ V: Beyond the Sword. :D. Civ IV currently has a lot more gameplay options (spies, religions, corporations, hamlets/villages/towns, even though Civ V has a better 'framework', IMO. As for hexes vs. squares, hexes are superior for calculating range, and cost of diagonal movement. Also it lends itself a little better to surround mechanics. As a programmer it's a bit more overhead using a hex map, but while you
Loyalty is not needed. Only obedience. But the longevity technology would be a pretty neat carrot, as such.
My wallet just ran away! Hold on... (Lots of good stuff there. Really good stuff. Lots of indy stuff, too, which is the one huge argument why PC gaming will not die.).
Another way could be through scenarios depicting historical situations - like the rise of the titans. Or having a slightly less tutorial-like campaign. Campaigns are a great way to tell a story, and while the one in the game isn't a total wash, I have to say it is one of the worst I've seen. Sorry. Rest of the game, great. Campaign, not so much. (Now, I haven't tried it since retail, it might have improved - has it?)
I guess I should add that, I have the Nvidia driver version 6.14.12.6099, from 16/10/2010, on a GeForce 9600 GT.
Two issues: 1: In Elemental 1.09(t) I noticed that in combat, the floating numbers (-4, BLOCKED, etc.) sometimes turn into bars that appear to be from completely unrelated graphic textures or even memory bits. Unfortunately I did not have the presence of mind to take a screenshot. 2: Magnar gets +1 goodie hut/quest levels. However, that seems to mean there spawns ONLY lvl 2 huts near the capital. Those are less useful to a starting civilization than level 1 ones. Shouldn't the
It's stable enough for me. Go for 1.1. (Option B)
Hm.... possibly, you could build an 'adventurer's guild' or something with a random chance of either uncovering some nearby nasties OR getting something unusual for the shops every once in a while? I don't think shops should have a chance for 'off-tech' equipment without some sort of upgrade, risk, or both.
The programming description sounds rather familiar. Been there, done that, got the all-nighters. Love the artwork, and I recently dug out elemental again... seriously, it's looking better and better all the time. :)
WoW is a great game - good design, lots of interesting things to do. Some of the most fun I've had was with an undead warlock who.. enjoyed fishing, especially in the green goo in the center of the undead city. (And exploring areas with a floating eye) However, for my part I was very, very finished with it when I finally did finish with it, and ten demons with chains and whips can't drive me back into it. My current poison is Pirates of the Burning Seas; it's good without bein
I watch it religiously, and yes, with a few exceptions I too think it is better than the three first movies - they expand upon the story and universe nicely. The movies felt more like 'yeah, this is a story we kind of have to tell even though it's a bit meh'. Doesn't hurt that I like the little spitfire, too. :)

What that says is: If you are one of those affected by this, your account will act like it's the wrong type, and you will not get the 10% xp/loot/faction bonus you should have gotten retroactively applied, or the store discount. We hope to fix this by yesterday. (Optimism, ho!) Premium accounts are accounts that has been subscribed before, captain's club is current subscriptions, so if you acted on this thread and went there to try the free game, it doesn't apply to
At least with some anti-virus programs the problem is that they check each file you try to access before you access it... this is normally a reasonably good thing. When you want to scan every file on your PC quickly, it means you do twice the job for little discernable benefit, and can get unpleasant conflicts if both find something. Malwarebytes' anti-malware thingy is VERY good, so I recommend getting it, but disable anti-virus realtime scanning while you run it, and then enable it
I thought I recognized the theme from your X-universe vs. EVE post. :) If you like such discussions, here's 22000 posts on the matter... enjoy! http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=7435
Except that it's a game that has been 'pay to play' a long time; what you don't get in the free membership that you did get before is character slots, ship slots, and manufacture slots. The latter part is the only thing that hurt, and that only if you are into crafting, is the manufacture slots. (the crafting system is such that you buy and use factories to do the manufacturing for you; you never pick up a shovel or a sewing needle. You do get some cargo to haul around though.). The new
I did joke with the thread title - it was too obvious to miss - but the post is serious. Really good game. And for what it's worth, I prefer shooting pirates. :)
Pirates of the Burning Seas is one of my favourite MMO's... and as of writing this post, it goes free to play. It has the best naval combat I've seen, and a full PvE game with a very strong RvR part. Not going to say that much more about it. :) http://www.burningsea.com/page/home As of writing the servers aren't quite up yet, but still. Let me know if anyone starts out there... I don't have any insanely rich characters that can
