Tutorials need a big overhaul for Rebellion. It needs to show info on pirate mechanics, refineries, and the Entrenchment and Diplomacy features. What would you have the tutorials do? [e digicons]:fox:[/e]

Curious, is the database going to be trimmed down in any way (Redundant account names, etc.) when Reactor gets integrated? This kind of reminds me of one of the features of the C&C:G:ZH mod Boss Generals called General Plans. You start off with a relatively basic (Though still competitive) force, but can choose a plan on what kind of strategy to focus on. An Assault plan unlocks powerful frontline units and abilities, Shock and Awe gives you awesome hit and run forces, Demolition gives loads of nuke AoE, Toxin DoT, etc. etc. This contrasted with the later unlocked 'abilities'.
I believe the statement on game speeds affecting scramble bomber damage to be inaccruate. As far is i am aware, game speed does not affect battles in any way other than faster ship movement.
That does affect combat in that retreating and reinforcements take a lot longer on slower settings. Strikecraft get around the gravity well a lot slower, and if hold position is not used, they take a lot more time to turn around.

My 2 cents: Hangars suck. Their antimatter regen practically makes it faster to replace a squad by scuttling it and building a new one. Speed settings have always severely distorted the game balance. Example of Faster: Income is 75% over the base setting. Build rate is 40% over the base. Physics speed is 60% over the base. Example of Fast: Income is 30% over the base setting. Sounds good. Hope it's good. But my experience with Paradox is that waiting for a while after release is a good idea... Nevertheless, I shall try the demo. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
That's sort of the point, you have to make that choice. You don't have to spec AoE. When you start having to worry about creeps, there are whole new items and skill trees to consider, rather than tanking to fight demigods.
Then you fall behind in gear and/or levels for fighting Demigods and you can't compete anymore. Yeah, this makes early AoE massively important. Having to base your item purchases entirely around killing creeps early on is going to kill you in the long run. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]

So currently the bounty system basically is the 'FU Pirates go attack someone else' system. Feels very limited, not useful, and gimmicky because of it. Simply put, cash is to valuable to give it away in bounty, while earning it is in tiny fractions via killing stuff. Thing is, I don't have any ideas for improving it. Anybody else think of something?

I actually hope not. I haven't been able to log-in to the test server since they updated it to 6.4, and absolutely no official response has been made to my saying so. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]

This is one of the reasons why I love Nintendo. It's just nearly impossible to break their products. Just google the Gulf War Gameboy. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]

Yeah... US TDs were supposed to be in open beta just before release. Then in release. Then just after release. Now not even in the next patch that's in a couple weeks. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
