I know SOGE (The Star Wars mod) has absolutely massive grav wells. Don't know exactly what was changed, and I can't look it up at the moment.
Kitkun
Teh-Blonde-Ninja, Manual editing or deleting of files would be required.
Will the mod cause problems in future patches?
Probably, but it will be updated for that.
Did the mod only add things, or did it subtract things and I've cheapened my single player experience by not playing through them first?
Only added. Next version of it which adds more is in Beta. Dunno for the third question.
BlackRainZ, You could, but I wouldn't recommend it. Instead, take any files you changed and put them into their own folders in the mod directory. (If you changed a file from the GameInfo, it should be in a GameInfo folder under the mod folder.) Download a mod or two and have a look at their structure. Mods go:
Vista: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods XP: C:\Documents and Settings\your username
so who is worse, Bill Gates or Steven Jobs.
Jobs. I hate that turtleneck. Macs just kinda drop dead when I'm in the same room.
Converted or not, they're still .entity files. The difference is that it's in a text format that can be read by notepad when converted. You should be able to convert them back, but you can play with the text versions being loaded instead of the binary versions.
KamuiGodofWar, Unzip it, then place it into your mods folder located at:
Vista: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods XP: C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods Please note that some of these directories are hidden by default. To unhide them, go to Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View and set yourself to view hidden files an
So does that mean when I score higher than somebody else on a test, I'm cheating?
While it doesn't explain what a dxdiag is, here's the part I didn't post from the tech FAQ.
* My game has crashed and told me it saved a "minidump" file. What do I do? Please open Windows Explorer to the location below and see if your dump file is there.
Figured you were since you posted the same thing three times...
Check the other ones. I can only see the title along with the poster and postdate. I can't reply to them either.

Sounds like boredom and randomness due to lateness to me.
Again, nice pics. One little detail though; it's Vasari, not Vasary.
@Adama Do you know any constructive ways to talk to anyone? Yeah but I usually don't waste my time on people who aren't willing to listen.
Most people don't listen to somebody insulting them.
I haven't read anywhere in the Update notes but perhaps I missed, will the game speed be increase, I'm getting rather tired of waiting 5 min for my ships to go from one side of the planet to the other for a phase jump.
If you are playing single player, press the plus and minus keys to speed up/slow down the game. Also set the speed options before game start.
How about number 3? - No Ewoks are gonna get us.
Yes it was removed. It was deemed exploitable in multiplayer, I think.
I thought that was the case already: you aren't defeated until you have neither colonies nor colony ships. Is that not the case?
Thier mod name is pronounced 'Soggy'? lol
I never thought of it that way.
[link="https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/149136"]This one[/link]. An yes, it shows up with SOGE as the mod name. "Sins of [a] Galactic Empire"
hey wich ship of the rogue race can colonize???
None in 1.3d. It has to be captured. Changing for 2.0 I believe.
Honor is a rare (And often career or company ending) concept in business.
There should be three .sounddata files in GameInfo. Open them up and add your new sounds in the proper place. Just use the same format already in the files. I've heard there is a hardcoded limit to the number of sound files you can have, but I don't know what it is.
I can't get it to work with 1.05. Not without disabling all of the changes. I had patched my game to 1.05 which is why I thought it would work, but I had combined this with several other mods while doing a bit of editing on my own. Sorry 'bout this.
