But what ticks me off is the randome file movement, and the constant "Alow this app" popups. The start menue is worthless and is very unorganized and difficult to use.
I've no idea what the random file movement thing is about, never encountered it. Popups sound like User Account Control, which can be turned off from the security center. Start Menu, I don't know how to get around that. Vista runs like a charm for me.

Make sure your stuff is up to date.
It's being updated in the 1.1 patch.
At 1 gig of Ram, you might as well get XP. More than that, and I recommend Vista. Especially if it's free. Even if you don't want it, keep the free stuff for later, or sell it if you're allowed to. :D
Every planet in our solar system has a ring, even Earth.
No it doesn't. Some think it had rings. The only planets to have rings are the gas giants.
To quote DANMAN3712:
Go to the official 7 DEADLY SINS forums, and if you are one of my mod developers or playtesters, you will see the post in the Developers section. If you wish to become a mod developer or playtester, sign up, and send me a PM or email!
Advent. They're so angry.
FF3 and always updating everything. I don't really open plain ol' IE7 anymore. Though I've discovered recently that EA.com won't run on any browser for me.
Now I will duck so as not to get hit by people throwing rotten vegtables and stuff.
*throws spoiled meat*
Most of that (New ships/other stuff, animations for trade ship and extra cities) is more for an expansion rather than a patch. Sins is a pretty big game as it is, and patches are usually for fixing bugs and balancing. They are upgrading the graphics, though.
I cannot imagine that SD would allow this, but it would be great. They would lose control over the user. But if they did, it would interesting to see how many would use Impulse or would rather DL a stand alone patch. I would go for the patch myself, obviously.
In the end, it's probably going to happen anyways. It's also about making it easier for them to patch the game, not controlling customers.
And if Legolan was right, I believe that's being fixed in 1.1. I've encountered the same kind of thing before.
I think Novalith is fine as it is, then again...I kinda like TEC, lol.
Well, as an Advent player mostly, having 2/3 of my worlds able to be one-shotted by Novaliths even when said worlds are fully upgraded would seriously unbalance the game in my opinion. Seige units (Marza X-() would also be like sudden death to all but the most heavily fortified of worlds at the edge of your empire. (Who hasn't gotten hit by an AI siege rush?) Don't get me wrong, I like the
I have only 2 PCI slots in my computer (Dell's stupid designers don't seem to think you'll ever need to upgrade), one of which has a video card, and the other of which has a sound card. Something tells me my video card isn't actually doing my system much good plugged into THAT. What is really sad though is that my computer is only a year and a half old...
You have a PCI video card? I haven't seen one of those since before PCI-E came out... and even then were rare low end car
Didn't know Charter was in England. They're fairly big here in the States. Had them, got about a third of the bandwidth we payed for despite several repairmen coming out, happier with Qwest.
Don't think I'd take the plunge just yet. Maybe next version of Windows. Just to many possibilities for problems, incompatible devices/programs, etc.
@both lmao.
Time and money. I'm hoping for one in an expansion.
Bah, replied in another thread before I found this one.
Thank you Kryo, I had the same problem, but I can't find the modding package. Is it the same as particle forge?
Forge Tools, just under Particle Forge in the downloads tab.
Don't know for Dinoff. yoazzismine ( :NOTSURE: ), open them in notepad. If it's just a bunch of random letters, download the Forge Tools.
Maybe. You wouldn't get the registry entries, though. I do believe that you can transfer by by somehow archiving with Impulse on your XP, then installing Impulse on the other machine to read said archive, (Or something like that...) but I don't know the specifics.
1:I have 32 bit Vista. What should I get for it and how effective are they?
Uhm, what is it you're looking for? Buying something new? What is "they"?
2:I have an Nvidia card, I heard it causes some issues at max settings, but I heard that back in Febuary and I know that Ironclad and StarDock are good companies.
8800GT here, no problems at max settings. Game does lag on larger battles, but that's not a graphics issue. Dunno about the 3rd.
On my Vista machine it's: C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods\ Please note you still have to set it to view hidden files.
Make sure the game is also updated.
Wrong. Standalone patches can end on third party/ mirrors sites. When it is the case, people that got it illegally can get them ...
Wouldn't be hard to check which files changed, then Zip 'em up or Torrent 'em.
