Yeah, that's a good idea. As a culture man myself, even though I am Vasari, it would be a great idea. Like if some planet had only 35% allegiance, you would only have to deal 35% damage and kill 35% of the population before they surrender. but if it has 110% allegiance, like a home world, you have to deal them 110% damage of their planet health before they kick it. It would make it a lot harder to kill a home world than some planet in the middle of no where.
But you have to ba
Anyways, about the SupCom music, what I meant was the main menu music. I know it sounds odd, but I don't really hear too many different songs in SupCom so I can't tell the difference.
I personally don't care that much for the SupCom music. However, I love the music in the Forged Alliance expansion. I'd recommend taking a look at that.

You sure it's in the right place? On my Vista machine it goes: C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods It's similar on XP.

GeForce 4 MX? That's a 6 year old budget set of graphics. Try the lowest of everything graphics-wise and see what that does. Either way, I'd recommend upgrading if you can.

I wouldn't recommend any game released in the past few years with that video card... My old 5700LE struggled but couldn't run the latest games at all.
@Derek:Why do you think, I named it "heavy defense platform"?This platform makes it hard to attack a planet, but you need many tactical places. One platform can destroy a level one capital ship with no problem, so you need a big fleet to attack this planet. For building these platforms you need 8 military research stations and the right researchpoints.
As a late game final tech it may work. Perhaps you could have it built only at the Homeworld. But either way TEC would
WWW Link How about a supercomputer built using graphics cards?
From the article:
For specific applications that can be massively parallelized GPUs are much faster than CPUs
Keywords are "For specific applications".
how can you kill notepad....
Dunno. Crashes on opening. I'm like the bane of computers if I'm in the same room. I'll figure it out eventually.
I have nerfed the COMPUTER CONTROL ability, for ALL races.
Thank you. That was a real nasty surprise the first time I played; the pirates leveled one of my planets using my own fleet.
Oh...by the way, 2.0 BETA...should be done by tomorrow!
But I was hoping for today... You've crushed all my hopes and dreams! *Sobs in a corner*

While interesting, I really don't expect to see something that complex in a RTS even as complex as Sins is. Anything you would have to stop to decide on just wouldn't work, I think.
Hey I don't want to burn everything down, think of the bunnies man, the bunnies.
Yes. Bunnies. A Fox has got to eat, you know.
You could just mod the speed options in the gameplay.constants file.no; i am looking to increase the income and not the actual gameplay... it just takes forever to get enough money to expand in the beginning of any level... that is why i am looking for this file.
I dunno where that file is. And my notepad seems to have killed itself for the time being. So I can't seem to find it. You can, however, just mod the resource rate option in the constants file under incomeSpe

I use Norton and still swear by it. As demonstrated in another thread, a lot of people disagree with me though. I find Spybot to be good, but Adaware just doesn't seem that great to me. In particular Adaware likes to split the same spyware app into a dozen different entries. It always looks like you just just cleared out a gigs worth of files when you run it.

Depends a lot on some other specs and budget, etc. Especially if it's an older or lower-end system. I only saw the current card in PCI-E. but to be sure: Does the system run PCI-Express video cards? AGP? For other specs, how much RAM and what CPU do you have? If those are real weak, it could be better to upgrade those. Offhand, I prefer Nvidia's 8000 and 9000 series.

On my Vista system it goes like: C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods Instead of typing when you can't see the folders, you can go to: Tools menu - Folder Options - View tab - select Show Hidden Files and Folders.
