Again, pah. I've encountered no antivirus more effective then Norton. It's kinda like Windows. There's a some annoyances, but it's more powerful than the rest. Most of the antivirus/spyware/etc. programs that find a zillion viruses tend to just break down the same thing into a million pieces in my experience. Personally, my computer doesn't speed up at all with Norton off (Including games). The only time I notice any lag with it is when doing an actual scan (Even then, only wi

Pah. Mess with the settings a bit, and you can tame it quite nicely. Most good programs are like that.
This game is completely MP oriented, so be sure it will be fixed.
No it's not. I never touch MP for one. There was a whole thread in which people said why they didn't go online. They were mostly told that they weren't having as much fun as they could have, and that their personal opinions didn't matter.
Kols and Dunovs for unlimited gauss spam.
What?
After a bit of searching, I found an add-on that does the job. It's called "Hide Unvisited". It basically restores the functionality of FF2; in other words, when you clear your private data, the location bar is cleared out also. You can find it here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/7429Sorry, but I can just not get it to link up. You'll (if you are interested) have to c&p it.
Thanks. I was looking for something like that.
Ok.....Sins is like the rugbie of RTS.It's Rugby!!!If you are going to draw parallels with the game they play in heaven, at least get the name right!!!
I fear you have mistaken heaven for hell.
This has been requested for a long while, but has been declined as it would add a lot of micromanagement.Nobody cares about micro-management if it's FUN
The trick is making it fun.
Last I checked, skirmish involves one player, otherwise known as single player. As for satisfactory experience, I'm satisfied. But that's just my opinion I suppose.
APC customer support is awesome. You call them up, tell them your UPS you bought through an unauthorized third party dealer arrived broken and appears to have been a return, and they send you a new one free of charge and you ship the dead one back in the box the new one comes in.
You should try Harry and David. They're policy seems to be 'When in doubt, send them a new one. If they don't want that, refund them.' Since they deal with fruits and chocolates mostly, they don't wa
I've been running in the DMZ on my router without a firewall, anti-virus or spy-ware blocker for a few years now. Paranoia is over-rated. Don't be stupid and your odds of having problems are nil.
Better safe than sorry. I keep Norton Antivirus running all the time, and I can count on one hand the number of problems I've had with my computers over the past half dozen years. Most were old hardware failing, to boot.
addenum: 1.09? theres going to be a 1.09?
That's what they're calling the beta 1.1.
Did you already declare war on that AI? Maybe the two AIs allied again.
I've also seen quite a few comments questioning the Carrier capital ship's role now that carrier cruisers start with as many or more squadrons at far less cost. I don't think players need worry too much, as their weapons, abilities, and increased squadron capacity and overall power scaling as they level up should more than offset their relatively high price.
Sounds like a no to me.
To quote from another installation trouble thread:
@Grassy15, Just go to "www.impulsedriven.com", download and install stardock's new distribution system IMPULSE, register your CD-Key and download the entire game to your PC. the Monk
I'd think it would work for you, if you're using the disk version..
ill try him prechate it bud....
What?
Start by getting the Forge Tools from the downloads tab. That should have most of the easy to edit .entity files in txt format, if I remember correctly.
Careful you don't lag to death. ;p Single player only, I think: Oh yeah, pressing the + and - keys changes the update rate of the game. (For example, at normal speed, pressing + will double the speed of the entire game. Very useful early on. I sometimes forget it's on and play the entire game that way. :p
Channeled means it uses up AM at a rate and lasting until all AM is depleted rather than using up a big chunk of AM and then lasting for a fixed duration.
Interesting. Will it have a minimum AM requirement? About how long will it last then?
I thought the "Salvage" was what you gleened after battle from destroyed enemies...
Yeah. The only ship able to take another ship in the unmodded game is the Revelation Battlecruiser. Salvage gives you back apart of ships/structures when you scuttle them. Vasari have some upgrades so they get more back and gain some from destroying enemies. The earlier posters had it right.
Where'd you buy it from? Also, make sure the disc is not damaged or dirty.
how to I get my other ships to JOIN the fleet?
I just select the old fleet and the new ships together and create a new fleet. Most ships seem to have auto join fleet at destination enabled by default.
by that i mean, since the file is located in the game main instalation of the game and if affected would affect all of the game, would it be possible to make it as an mod that can be activated so it would be a simple matter of turning on and off in the mod list. instead of changing values in the file?
Ah. Should be. Make the changes, then save it into the mod directory as another mod. Should look something like Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods\Mod Name\GameInfo\gameplay.cons
Repulsion is going to become a "channeled" effect
Uhm... what exactly does that mean?
