I am fully of aware that the US was using relatively old planes. The Indians were using planes comparable in age. A single air combat exercise does not prove or disprove anything, but that wasn't my point. My point was that arrogance in warfare only helps the enemy. If you are so sure that your equipment is brilliant and that it guarantees victory, that if America ever fought India, they may win, but if America was that arrogant than they would get a very nasty surprise. The V

I wonder what the role of the new capital ships. We already have battleships, carriers, colonisers, support and seige ships so what has been left out?
Seems like their is still no real diplomacy, its just stats to push numbers around. Human element evaded.... Not that I expected to talk to the enemy and actually negotiate.
The information given so far indicates that you need upgrades to feed allies, talk to other factions and negotiate custom treaties
US also has the best Air Force. While the F22 program has been somewhat contraversial, the contraversy was that it is so advanced there is nothing for it to fight. It's in its own league, so we can just as well go with the much cheaper F35, and maintain superiority with quantity.
This is debatable. In a recent air combat exercise, the USAF lost 90% of the dogfights against the Indian Air Force. See here.

The changes to cruisers are good and the changes to cap ships are fantastic. The new Halcyon is an absolute monster. 6 squads by lvl 3 with ADA and Anima Tempest doubles the strength of all the Halcyon's SC squads. Very useful cap ship and all its abilities are very powerful. The Egg is basically the same when it comes to combat effectiveness. It actually kills frigates more easily now at lvl 1. The Vulkoras is a beast. Nothing kills planets as quickly as this thing. I haven't
rapid manufacturing = 300% faster starbase construction. Sova could become the king of offensive starbasing.
This shouldn't effect SBs imo. The Vasari are supposed to rely on offensive starbasing so it would be unfair to give the TEC this.
pirates should have some level of self preservation so that they know when to leave.
Agreed. Pirates are criminals, not insanely brave suicidal fighters. They should leave when they have gathered all their money. Its stupid that pirates will destroy everything if you let them regardless if the bounty is 100 credits or 100000 credits
As long as it's not a full scripted and "un-persistant" campaign, I'm all for it. But I hate campaigns where it is linear and completely predefined. A non-linear, persistant campaign....kinda similar to Dawn of War 2's but fully in space and with our beloved Sins twist on it. Agree on that?
Definately. As for extra races, I really don't want a fourth "killer" race. Escaped Vasari slaves that gain independance from the Vasari would work I think. Ha

Some pretty good ideas here but I was hoping for feedback on what I wrote, not what I thought was unoriginal (supcom: fa style story with killer 4th race) I was speculating as to how Sins may develop lore-wise, not gameplay changes or the addition of a campaign. Also, IC said that they will do a campaign, but only if it was completely unique and different from other RTS campaigns. Once again, any feedback?

I think that most of us will agree that if a 4th race is added and the current races team up to fight them, then it will be too similiar to SupCom:FA. Any responses at all?

A Sins 2 would likely happen and this is as idea as to where the storyline could go. The Sins lore is cool so it would be great to see how it will develop in the future. As the Darkness that is chasing the Vasari gets close, the Vasari are stuck in a dilemma. "Do we flee like we have been doing for millenia or do we stand and fight?" some ask. The Jisura Nomads and others decide to flee whereas the KorSul Armada stay and fight. They reason that they have fought too hard to gain their

I like these ideas. The Vasari "pretending" to be democratic to keep the masses happy makes sense.
when a new Fleet Admiral Commander is elected, the Supreme Council approaches the Vasari who they have agreed to promote and issue him a sort of mission. This is his test. The test site would take place on an unknown planet's surface and gravity well (unknown in the sense that you never know what planet you will be sent to to complete your test until the Supreme Council drops you

I don't picture the Vasari as being either religious or democratic. I can't imagine the brutal Vasari rbeing democratic. Maybe Vasari individuals become Omnipitor when they pass a very difficult "test". This "test" pushes the individual to the edge of their psychological endurance to see whether they are worthy of that position. In the military, people are not voted to become promoted. They are appointed based on ability. being militaristic, a Vasari individual may become Omni
I did not say that we can control the situation under which we are born, or chance events that may complicate our lives. I did say, however, that it would be foolish to leave our circumstances to external forces because we feel powerless against them, a position that you appear to support
No I do not support that view. I specifically stated that we do have a measure of control over our lives but this control is not absolute. I was talking about chance and random bad eve

Good read. I have one minor issue with this though.
Now as to why the Vasari are now in a stalemate with the TEC and being smashed by the Advent.
No where in the lore does it say that the Advent were even fighting the Vasari let alone smashing them. Where did you get this from? Its the TEC geting smashed by the Advent not the Vasari. In the game intro, the narrator mentions the "the alien front" and the fact that the Advent are attacking the undefended s
