Nice ideas. I heard that in some future expansion (not the next one) that IC was going to do something like that.
let me guess, you think its all about spirituality or some other crap like that?
No. The mind is simply a part of the brain. Anyway, what is the point of that rant? You continue to prove my point becuase machines and other animals do not question the meaning of their existance.
for excample, the only reson you like girls is because your high testostorone levels combines with some other hormons
This means nothing. I can interpret th
TEC missiles go WAY TOO SLOW in Entrenchment V. 1.02
Weapons damage targets instantly. Missile speed is irrelevent unless you want more realism. I think that its fine the way it is.
Other than that the MB does NOT need to be changed (All the TEC REALLY has is MB,
If TEC need such a rediculously powerful ability then that can only mean that balance between TEC and the other races is badly screwed up.
If any of you ever read some phylosophical articles about who we are and all this then you will undarstand that we are just a bilogical mashines and the only diffarance is that we are biological while robots are mechanical.
LOL This statement contradicts itself. We are not merely biological machines because we have the capacity to philosophise and think etc. Your statement is philosophy which proves that we are not merely biological machines, b
I've seen it overcome with striking results too many times (my own MB with a superior fleet got beat by 40+ hoshis last night, MB'd the little bastards 3 times before giving up and retreating).
That does not mean that it is balanced or not over-powered. Anyway, light frigates should cost less fleet supply considering that fact that that they have fewer uses then long-range frigates. Subverters were overnerfed so that Vasari get no good support cruisers (
Public opinion is fickle to the extremes. Over the course of just 10 short years, public climate can change completely and people just forget or ignore whatever position they held yesteryear
I agree. However, the reason Vietnam was different to WWI was because of communication, not just social changes. People saw civilians burning on TV. During WWI people had no reason to doubt that the war was going to be a picnic. Due to the internet people are much mo
Personally I don't think MB is overpowered, especially since I can't think of a better way to shut down an Illum spammer as TEC.
If the TEC require such an insanely unbalanced ability to counter illums, then there is a very serious balance problem somewhere. MB has infinite firepower. That is inbalanced.
The next Sins expansion is about diplomacy. Pirates will get some new features and the non-combat aspects of the game will be added to. The one after that will likely add a campaign, but only if IC can come up with an original way to do it. I doubt new races will be added, but it hasn't been ruled out. On the subjec of a DemiGod expansion, I heard that 2 new demigods were going to be added 2 months after release. Is this true? Anyway, why did you post so many threads o
my point being. IT IS OVERPOWERED. i did not say ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO WIN. its incredibly hard to beat you tec people because all you do is spam MB. you all come back and say "spam the counter. its not that hard" when you realize this game is supposed to be of balance in a way that each race has their own strength which DOESNT stem from slapping fleets of 100+ ships with the push of a button. that is NOT what the devs had in mind and that is NOT how a game should be played. get over your
Personally, I like Sins that way it is, but these ideas sounds good.
by providing dialogue with the other faction leaders, adding "chance" events based on mysterious sci-fi occurrances, and providing small, random resources bonuses around the map that add color and meaning to the regions.
I have suggested this before. As an example, if you fight Arn Consortium and lose the battle, then the AI says "you seem to enjoy spilling your blood in this part of the galaxy
Yeah, you're right. Ogrovs and Starfish get light-class armour.
Radiance with Detonate Antimatter is a great counter as it deals damage AND prevents the Egg from using Nano-dissassembler.
(if there was anything left to push back ).
Cap ships, maybe. This idea sounds cool, but I don't think that it could could push structures away. The game engine probobly cannot do that.
Flak are fine against SC, so carriers are not quite obsolete. The build penalty should be smaller though. I do think that Subverters need a significant boost. Distortion Field has should cost 125 AM, have 8000 range and last 25 secs. The last nerf was insanely big. Vasari currently get no powerful support cruisers. Overseers are fine imo, except for their upgradeable abilities are horrible. Why spend so much money on Mobile Pase Detection when a teir 1 upgrade does the same thi
Lots of people have speculated as to what this threat actually. On the back of the box, it says that it was created by the Vasari. IronClad has not said whether any races will be added or not, so it is a possibility.
A really famous assumption, that was proved wrong before.
During WWII. During Vietnam people HATED the war. People hate this current war as well, but not so much. These days, people are less easily sucked in by war propoganda. War is unpopular. Everyone thought that WWI was going to be a picnic. In a new major war, many Americans would question the purpose of the war. If they hated it enough, then they would elect someone else during the election.
Intelligent reply, Ackerman.
Vietnam we won every battle but lost the war because we didn't have the political resolve to win. Korea is just a ? mark because even though we did contain them, we didnt gain anything either.
This is extremely important. The American people don't have the stomach for a full-scale war. America is learning anti-terrorist tactics, but China's population is so huge, America could never keep an eye on all of them. Trying to occup
America is unlikely to use nukes ever again. Nukes have a terrible reputation. If the President used nukes in war, he is sure to lose the next election. The American people would be outraged. Thats why the U.S invented daisycutter bombs.
Chinese use blitzkrieg?
All modern military "army vs army" warfare is based on Blitzkrieg.
If we fought them in China, they would lose because many of their people want democracy and would revolt in hopes of overt
My issue with Vasari is that I never have any credits, as TEC and advent I end up with a very strong economy, with Vasari im always scrimping for cash.
Vasari sell metal and crystal at the Black Market.
Much better this time. One important tip is that phase missiles are even deadlier then other weapons when being used to focus fire.
AFAIK, shield mitigation still applied even if the shields are down (that is one that I am not 100% sure on...)
I am positive that shield mitigation is still applied even if the shields are down.
Enforced Loyalty for both Advent and Vasari.
No, the Advent get Enduring Devotion. Anyway, I put structures close together so that repair bays cover them all. Turrets should be placed in a dense line where you think the enemy will attack. Turrets are weak when spread out.
Don't build so many capitals! They will die from focus-fire. Even if they don't, its still a bad idea because capitals will share experience with other capitals in the same grav-well. 5 is the maximum no. of capitals you should have. 3 is usually better, but it depends on your strategy and which race you are playing as. As TEC, it is best to get a Kol or Marza first. The Akkan and/or Dunov are good second choices. Get a Sova if you are going to Embargo ruch him. The Sova
Nice ideas. However, the AI can never really compete with a human, but improvements would be welcome.
Nits in numerical order:
Seriously, why should anyone care about little things like these? It just a movie! It is just as realistic/unrealistic as any other movie. I thought that the film was very well done.
When ever McCoy shoots him with a hypo, Kirk yells or does something else to indicate that it hurts. Star Trek hypos use an atomization system, which is painless
This one is a prequel. Maybe atomisation hasn't been inven
Great ideas here as to how logictics could work. I also think that India could be one of the factions along with the EU, China, Russia, Islamic League, Israel (?) and the U.S. More real-life units that the game could have: Kamov Ka-58 Black Ghost: Russian attack helicopter with stealth capabilities. Strangely, this chopper is an anti-attack helicopter helicopter. It also has great anti-tank qualities. Merkava IV: Israeli main battle tank. Its design is optimal for rapi
