The game is average. It has one function which is super-great, and that is the walking bases that you can customize.
Heavenfall
I like how it scales, and capital ships in that. You can start out with 5 small ships that almost defeat a capital ship, but the empires grow and later on you're at 100 ships and a capital ship, while it cannot defeat 50 ships on its own, is certainly worth as much.
Imagine how it would be like if there was no competition. The free market is the last defence against ruthless companies. Ironic, isn't it. [e digicons]:omg:[/e]
I always liked that windows and taskbar were completely remoddable so they didn't look the same. It wasn't just colour, it was different shapes. I would like the option to move the start menu button and the clock and the systray around, although I guess that could be modded to a stale state, and a variable state should be done by MS. Windows 7 has new stuff for setting up multimonitor setups, I would like an option to have different backgrounds on those monitors.
i disagree that competition is ALWAYS good. it is GENERALLY good. y'know when it's NOT good? when it's VHS vs. betamax. when it's HD-DVD vs. BLU-RAY. you expressed confusion over the issue of standards but in certain very clear cases, the sentiment is clear. in some cases, choice is less about benefit to the consumer and more a pissing match between industry players and actually an IRRITATION to consumers. i'm not sure th

Black markets (not the same as piracy, although piracy is a form of a black market where information is traded for information in the Scene) benefits customers because they sell products without permission to a lower price, thus counter-acting the negative impacts of monopolistic companies choking the supply. Here are a couple of examples of monopolies benefiting customers: 1) An old Swedish (government) company owned the copper lines, limiting ADSL products to certain compani
Monopolies can have SOME benefits. But they only apply when the monopolistic company is transparent. Any profit-maximizing monopolistic company (supplier) is always bad for the customer and the producers because monopolistic companies operate by choking the supply to the market in order to increase prices and thus profits. Either way, monopolies don't work (black markets / contenders always emerge), and it certainly could never function in this online age where the monopolistic compan

That it is a bad idea is an open door, monopolies are well known to be bad for everyone. I'm summing up the sit

Bought a game once, didn't have any problems. I prefer client-based.
It's almost hard to grasp the idea that impulse has only been around for a year. Certain other services have remained largely the same for much longer periods of time. Leaps and bounds.
Under no circumstance would I want just one supplier of online games. Not only would it be extremely bad for gamers, it would also be catastrophic for producers. Stuff like this is what happens when you "dedicate" yourself to one service. You lose sight of the customer.
Definately one of the games I am buying no matter what. Having it on Impulse would be a boon though.
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate."
Maybe it's different in other countries, but in Sweden you don't have to go through the entire store. There are shortcuts, although not well marked in the store, they do appear on the maps. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2142/2266410321_8c0e039f5c.jpg?v=0
Maybe having a race with just one culture makes it different from humanity in itself. But it should be background-driven, not default.
I love going to IKEA for finding ideas. But frankly, a lot of the stuff isn't that cheap for its quality. Supposedly, they make an extreme amount of profit from people walking through the entire store picking up "small" stuff like icecube-makers for the freezer or a plushie that is also the lid of a boiling can or that floor lamp for $15. Stuff that you absolutely don't need but will buy nevertheless because it's so damn cheap and who cares? Well, those items have like a 500% to 1000% profit
Did you also tell people that during Beta 1? Will you also tell people the exact same thing during Beta 3? Why should we not have some sort of expectations for Beta 2. This is not last September, the game is "supposed" to be released in a few short months so people expect that a combination program from 2 of the most respectable and accomplished game developers could produce a far more stable Beta 2 release. There is no point to get defensive on their behalf... this is their business a
I'm going to say it whether you want to hear it or not. Your expectations for the beta were too high. Come back in a month.
I would say it's because it's mostly the same as the food you get anywhere else in the western countries. There is "some" local food, like herring and tuna we probably eat more than others. And there's the falukorv and the swedish meatballs of course.
Not if you want to boot from it. .
I loooooved the single player campaign in that game. One of the best I've ever played in a game that supported multiplayer as well.
This is how much I want to know before a show in threads that aren't directly related to that very show:
The fuck? Thanks a lot, MATE.
