Well, fast spawn rate was a bug. I think if everything is set to normal, it is fine. If you want custom settings, you can play outside the tournament. The point of playing in a tournament is that it should be on equal terms all the time. You don't play tennis at Wimbledon with different sized balls and varying the height of the net.

gkrit, being right on the money, is saying that you can't take all the successful ingredients from previous games and put them all togheter in a new one. Just because they were awesome in previous games, does not mean they will mix in a good way for the new game. Different new games will adopt different features of previous games. I for one strongly disagree with "winding down" graphics. The beauty of the graphics is what sold this game to me. If the producers cheapen the graphic outp
Perfect. That is EXACTLY what I was hoping it would be.
"conditioning" is a word you should never use in any public relations post. Other than that, I think the beta process has been flawless so far. Posts like these, devs that gladly chat or even ask for help on IRC, you actually participating in the forums a lot. So what if requested feature X doesn't make it in, or feature Y is causing a problem? That's what beta is for.
As additional elements are introduced, crashes are likely to go up before they go down.
Even if it's not for performance issues, the minions are just way too numerous now. It looks like a proper war, I will give you that, but demigods just aren't that important any more in the fights. All we do is run and cap flags.
First impressions from a game: Nothing can kill all the angels that spawn (we had 50+ at the end of game). Assassins need additional health compared to generals to be able to go toe to toe.
That already happens, but an AI player is not a team player at the moment.

Speaking generally, I bought it and I live in Sweden. I opted for the Digital only version. It was from this site. I don't know if there is a restriction for Spain, but there isn't one for Europe.
Come ON GUYS! DRM is expensive! You can't expect producers to pay big money for licenses that last forever! I think it is entirely sensible that our products stop working after a while. Otherwhise why would you want to buy the expansion or the sequel? I don't see this as a bad investment, I see this as a good opportunity to spend more money.
If it is worth the extra pricetag for the extra content, the consumer will buy it. Whether it is worth it or not is relative for each consumer, and therefore no conclusion can be reached that applies to the entire market.
Honestly, I love these kinds of maps, always played them loads in starcraft and warcraft (I think blizzard even did a zerg vs terran map like this in wc3). I doubt generals would have trouble in particular, since they have all their minions to help suck up the incoming damage. This would definately be something I would love to see in a mod.
I do believe the homepage is due for a content update, although it may not see the light of day until we are closer to release when the actual content has been firmly established. In particular, I am personally looking forward to high resolution concept art. I would also like to humbly ask the producers to keep this thread in mind, which contains some constructive criticism when it comes to wallpapers: http://forum
Or alternatively YOU LOSE. YOU FAILED BECAUSE SOMEONE ON YOUR TEAM WENT AFK / DISCONNECTED / LEFT BEFORE YOU OR ANY OTHER FAULT WHICH WAS NOT YOURS.
Sucks for the people living there. ;)
If you think you're wasting your time, do something else for a few weeks until the next update comes out. Personally I cannot understand why it hasn't been adressed yet. Producers are losing valuable "facetime" with the betatesters because we cannot test. I wonder if there's a deadline where they will scrap the p2p and go for ordinary solutions intead.
It's working great so far from what I've seen. The friendly AI can actually be depended upon to pursue a good plan of action, not just mingle about. One problem I've seen is when the AI decides to pursue someone with extremely low health. Normally they will pursue that person a long way, and not ignore it which is what they do if you're not attacking them and at >40% health or so and running away. Anyway, sometimes they will pursue a person a long way into the enemy base, "hoping"
If you cannot meet the rules of the market, then you cannot participate in it. However much you want to. I'm willing to believe you're a good guy, but the arguments presented above are still sound. There is no way to differentiate you from the hungering masses. What makes perfect sense to you, may be just a lame excuse others can utilize. Is there dead weight? Yes, of course there is. Undeniably, not having a more open beta cuts out players that could have given "good" feedback. This
Good read, but I have to ask... don't you think it can get a bit confusing in the long run if you call yourself beta as well? I was looking for a suiting emoticon, but I didn't find one so here's a cat instead. [e digicons]:meow:[/e] Also, is there any way to let people comment without registering? Always pisses me off...
Great screenshots in that one.
Purposefully limiting. The game is not expensive by any standard. And spending resources on an extra version when you've just switched to "high gears" for the retail version isn't likely. Seriously, if you want to participate in the beta, just buy the game. That is the condition.
And that's why you shouldn't be using metaphors unless they are perfect matches. It's rubbish. It doesn't hold up. We don't need an educating example that fundamentally doesn't describe something the way it is.
