20:48 like, fighting in a big treetop of the worldtree 20:48 seeing the forrests and rivers down below 20:48 working over branch to get another flag 20:48 could be a hexagon shaped map 20:48 with branches streching between 6 trees Or just one tree where you fight in the crown. Either way, it fits perfectly. Not to mention it would be totally awesome.

What's the difference between a fast paced game and a fast game?

It's an extremely flawed metaphor, as I just pointed out. And when you use flawed metaphors, you end up discussing the metaphors instead of the original topic. Like we are now. Edit: And noone understands what the hell people are trying to say. Are we monkeys now? Who gets the sawdust? Are the tools the builders are using even real - or - is it possible that there is no hammer ?

Obviously. I think most prefer getting town portal scrolls instead of stacking speed though. There are so many slows in the game, even at max speed you probably couldn't avoid another demigod forever unless he was really slow.

There are quite a lot of options when it comes to game speed. There is the low/medium/high, but there is also variable in which players can go between -10 and +10 game speed. If you thought 14 movement speed was fast, I sincerely urge you to try +10 gamespeed.

All these metaphors are becoming quite distracting. If you pay up front for a house, then you have a contract that clearly states what can and cannot be changed. You also don't have thousands (up to infinite amount) of people buying little shares in a 3/4-room house (at least, I've never heard about it). When purchasing a house, it also ultimately belongs to whoever purchases it, it does not belong to whoever is building it. Stick to explaining the current situation with the game inst

Negative feedback is also useful feedback, I can't imagine anyone running a beta disagreeing with that. Besides, as I understood it the "fun" is supposed to start in beta 3 so it goes without saying most comments are negative in nature before that. Sometimes developers need a cookie and a pat on the back because the graphics in this game are insane. Sometimes they need a slap on the wrist and be told to stand in the corner because the netcode zzzz. Then they can think about that for a second

The beta pattern so far suggests they are removing parts of the content because they want the testers to focus on what is left in the beta. Lan was (temporarily) removed when the netcode needed testing Old maps have been removed (temporarily) when new maps have been introduced

Regarding the "no mods", how about simply having an option on for games, that by default is turned off. You can call it "Allow UI modifications" or something. If it is on, the game verifies dbdata.zip. If it's not, the game doesn't. I understand that the developers don't want to spend a large amount of resources on such a feature at this time, but to me it sounds rather uncomplicated as the default function has to be written anyway (all you have to do is "turn it off").

The developers have specifically said that should a tutorial be needed to learn the game, they have failed to develop it properly. It really is extremely easy to understand the basics. There will be something of a user's manual though, if I recall correctly.

If you choose to play an assassin, you control only one hero. If you choose to play a general, you control summonable units as well as a hero.

There is already some outlining in the game showing what your mouse is hovering over. Doesn't work with anti-aliasing at the moment. But this could be extended to be seen on all demigods as an option.

Too much stuff is being made up here. What's interesting is what people are calling it, not what you want people to call it. But seriously... touchy? Please no... think of the children.

Why would I change from vista ultimate at this point? It's just not going to happen, even if all games released in 2010 are Windows 7 only. I'm sorry, but to me Vista works flawlessly and I am not going to spend precious time exchanging it and paying for the process as well. At this point, Vista 7 would have to come up with a "BLOW YOUR MIND" feature for the END USER. Minor stuff about start menu enhancements and software docks - yeah alright, it looks like stuff I'd buy for $10 on impulse.</

I've also noticed nightmare generals becoming rather insane in power at lvl 20. I played against a UB and my 450-470 range attacks were hitting him for 95. I kited him back to my life regen crystal in base, where I managed to defeat him after 2 minutes of fighting. Every 15 seconds or so I had to stop attacking the UB or be killed by his reflect damage, which hit me for 75 damage every time I hit him for 95, and that damage added to his normal attacks did more damage than the crystal healed m

Also, when Rook performs his hammer slam, the bottom of his torso is briefly visible from the side. It is like two polygons of gray, does not look good at all. http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/9540/20045902pj8.jpg
