Man, this is starting to feel like Sacred 2 all over again.

Doh, I deleted my saves thinking they might be corrupt. But in a good note it worked out this time. Hopefully the matter is over.
The campaign is still messed up. I couldn't get past the barrier. I restarted the campaign after this update, and what happened? This time the camp to them critters I was to kill (after the docks) didn't "spawn" so I couldn't continue! Sheeesh...common guys! This is the VERY beginning, and we can't play!
Is there a way to get the grid to show better? As of now, it's more like a "stain" on the grass than a marking.
Us adults call them "Sick days". [e digicons]^_^[/e]
eh? I don't see any pictures or link...wtf? EDIT: nvm, a refresh of the page helped.
My game is still running fine. Still only one crash to date and no memory leaks or graphics lag or any of that stuff. Guess my i7 920 overclocked to 3.2ghz and 6gb 1600 latency 8 ram and ati 5770 1gb dedicated ram are best in the world for playing this game without issues. ) This game is just too much fun to complain about nitpicky things. BTW I got my rig from IBUYPOWER they make the best systems nowadays and don't try to rip you off.[/quot
The crashing stopped for me when I turned off auto save, however after the release version/patch I am no longer crashing with it on. Maybe deactivating it will help you? Stardock wanted me to reproduce a crash with it on, but I can't. [e digicons]X|[/e] Oh, are you on a 64bit OS? Because that is not supported yet.
There is no tutorial in the campaign at all. It's pretty bad. I had to "replay" over and over until I started understanding.
So when can we play the campaign? I can't get past the blockade. Restarted the game several times now... PS We NEED a compare equipment window! It's a pain having to exit to my character look at his weapon, open the shop, go though the stuff. Have to repeat to see if I need something else etc etc.
Suggestion: We need a comparison window when trading/shopping so we can see what our character is wearing vs the new stuff!
Gnrl Tempest, and Tourresh Fillthgrinder, Turn autosaves back on and I'd like to see a debug.err from you if you get a crash. Thanks guys, ~C
Eh, where and how do I get the debug.err?
My crashing issues stopped when I disabled auto save. Don't know if that helps troubleshooting or not.
I'm not sure what "meat and potatoes" you're looking for, but I got a lot out of reading the manual.
That's like having to read the script before watching a movie. In other words: Unnecessary.
64-bit version will be free and released as a future update. It'll be invisible to those who already have 64-bit Windows.
So what happens when we download/install now? I take it we are installing the 32-bit version. Will we have to reinstall once the 64-bit is out?
Realistically we're on a version that is at the oldest, the gold disk version (and might be newer). It's not the 24th patch, but it's not beta 4 either. There won't be a patch coming tomorrow that adds random maps, faction customization, and all the stuff that was cut from multiplayer.
Eh, I was talking about the DATE being 23rd, when the release is on 24th.
I might be wrong, but it IS still the 23rd. Perhaps we will be getting a patch on the official release date which will include what is missing, and fix bugs. We are on a "early-release" version after all. But I think that is just high hopes...lol
Ironically these "stop complaining and grow up" posts are just as common as the complaint posts when a game is released. I don't know what is worse. People giving feedback and complaints, or people acting "high and mighty" wanting these people to shut up. Personally I think it's better to speak out than keep shut, change will never happen otherwise.
Quoting Annatar11, reply 11 But the game isn't specifically designed to support it. But it is, since all the required resources needed for solo adventuring (gold, research, spell research) can be acquired without building a single city. The Sovereigns have magical pockets of holding for carrying around all that gold and research materials . Hey look here comes the Sovereign and he's got an iron mine in his po
So will us living in Europe get the game on OUR 24th? Or we have to wait til USA is on the 24th??
You could gain those points by conquering indies/enemy cities. true but then you have a city .... founding / concurring makes no difference except with out some assistance.. counting on taking early enemy is a shot in the dark but valid strategy.
But I wouldn't need to of sacrificed my essence to start building. If I take over one by force I am essentially stronger for it. Right?
Hope it's okay if I ask something about gameplay. One of the biggest problems I have with these types of games is stacking units on one "square". - Does Elemental allow stacking on one square, or some kind of limit? - Is there an option to disable stacking?
Yeah, I find it odd that a game you Pre-Order does not show up amongst My Games. Hopefully they will change that. I also wish I could of payed straight away, I don't want to be billed later....
But I thought that since you come across people in the world, that generate income/research points etc, you could somehow get by with just that. In this YouTube vid he does explain that he is getting revenue "even now" (at 5:58), without having build anything. And by not sacrificing essence in doing so, the result would be making you more powerful. So instead of building, I could make my living from conquering others. Is that no
Am I understanding correctly that I don't HAVE to build an empire? Can I be a "Mystical Wanderer" doing quests and growing in personal power? Become a "god" if you will? I was under the impression you could. But everything I read mentions building.
