At any rate, I don't think having different controls for assassin characters versus general characters is a bad idea.
ah, we have our disagreement there. generals will also be running around on the floor mixing it up with assassins and creeps alike. having one unified control scheme (allowing some user customisation) will reduce the learning curve for everyone. i personally could make do with differing contr

bump for new version.
since you missed DeadMG's post directly above, i shall re-iterate it. the Moho Engine used in SupCom/FA DID NOT let you run the game multiple times, even if one farts out some error message all the other instances of the game will spot it and not start . now, the DG version might now support it, but one only puts this sort of measure in a game is if there's fundemental resourc
left-mouse to move, right-mouse to attack would indeed work fine for the assassins (the current lot we're playing with). however, it simply would be far too painful for the generals when they're commanding troops. once we get our grubby little hands on the generals, this should become aparant. that said, strikersgun appears to have made good use of the options menu already. Curseman, maybe you should try that too?
There's no non ASCII chars in my user name unfortunly nor is there in my profile.
i noticed that the language is set to Swedish, so i assumed you had some special characters in your username. sorry.
it will likely be useless for assassins, but there potential for the generals. either way, if it's not broken then don't remove it!
take your (windows) username. does it have any non-ASCII characters in it? yes? then you need to create a new on with only standard ASCII chars and use that to play. it's a limitation with how the engine reads the file structure.
aye. that's Hollywood for you. subverting the meanings of words.
Remember in SupCom how your group of enegineers would play bumper car with each other?
i wouldn't presume many of these folk are at all familiar with SupCom.
i do believe there's something planned to deal with this. however, currently it is an issue. let us wait and see what Tyo is cooking up...
nope. Mr. Rook is an Assassin.
check your Inbox, left something there for you.
I can't show my exact numbers, but with Regulus' range maxed, he can shoot farther than he can see...Does anyone else find an issue with this?
nope. i think it's perfectly fine; it means he's not a one-man-kiting-machine-of-the-apocalypese. he needs support, and that comes from teammates (and to a lesser extent, creeps).
yep. this one is a well known issue.
wow. what happened there? lol, looks like 4th time's-a-charm.
can you repeat the crash? if not, it sounds like another crash the occured coincidentally at the same time as you getting snuffed. if you can however get predictable crashing; play the game windowed and turn on logging. you'll have to tweak your DG shortcuts like so;
...\bin\Demigod.exe /size 1024 768 /log DamnLog.txt
...i hope this quote works.
Ok thats pretty big, but wouldn't his crossbow power scale proportionaly it would be the same surely?
nope. i don't think it would scale linearly; double the dimensions of a tree and it weighs 8x as much, double the the dimensions of a bow (this applies to most machines as well) and you get 4x the power.
i should clarify strikers' post there; having multiple pairs of boots, gloves, etc is intentional. the archers/mines are bugged.
yeah, i suspect it's simply missing textures (grab a stick and poke the art department to work harder, lol). it's not a big deal at all considering it's beta 1.
he never said it killed him a second time around.
As has been said in the past, if we should ever go out of business, we'll release everything customers need to keep their stuff for good.
my confidence in this online delivery madness just grew.
hehe, i'm at it again. more UI mods for DG. this one a lot more people shall find useful; it makes the health, mana, and experience meters stay visible even when the mouse isn't over them. i also added regen to it as well, but as i can't find proper functions to call i've made a bit of a work-around that looks rather ugly. i'm going to use gaspowered forums for the mod as i can *cough* edit and update my thread there, please feel f
Speaking about SupCom. Does this mean that the possibilities of LUA scripting are still there too? I can think of some really fun game modes and mods that would be just awesome to put in. So, GPG and Stardock, are we going to be able to make what looks to be a great game even greaterererer?
under the hood it's eerily similar. i actually ported two mods from Forged Alliance over to the beta! it took ni
i like Sakhapoo's idea. it should only be DGs to attack it (scripting creeps not to attack a flag is a cakewalk) lest all the creeps drop what they're doing and rush the lock.
so you were fired at, died before the projectile hit you, respawned soon afterwards only to find the heat-seeking projectile homed-in from across the map? that's sort of a known bug; projectiles do follow you when you teleport, i haven't heard of this past-the-grave issue.
