My Game crashes when i activate the mod. Can someone help me with this ? I'm playing the german Game Version, i hope thats not the problem.
What Version of Entrenchment are you using? Have had no problem reports so far concerning crashes when activating the mod. This mod is not for vanilla sins and not (yet) for diplomacy, just entrenchment for now

Oh god, it is another "how many fps can you see" thread... As for you, ok, so YOU can only see lets say 50 fps. Me, I can tell the difference between 50 and 80-100 fps, not in the middle of my sight but at the edges where the discrepancy between the changing position of an object becomes visible. In films you have mostly fluid motions (mostly because many people agree 48 fps would be better, let alon 96) because you have the effect of ghost images called motion

Yes it does! Actually, there are no Artifacts in the normal (no AA) version, so supersampling cannot produce them (it just renders the picture at 4 times the size and downsamples it to screensize) But the way the samples for MSAA are choosen and blend seem to produce the artifacts. No Idea why, though. So for now stick with NoAA or SSAA (2x2 should be sufficient, as 4x4 is way too slow)

Good to know it's not only us NVidia users having this problem. Might get the Devs to do something about it! In the meantime, we can get by using 2x2 supersampling using nHancer... well, sort of, unless we got some huge battles going on, then it is a slideshow.

Linking mesh and particle effect is pretty easy. Install yourself particleforge and start it. If you install particleforge in an own folder, be sure to have the subfolders Mesh Particle PipelineEffect TextureAnimations Textures in it and in them any file you reference. In particleforge, when you create and select a new emitter, you can assign it a mesh under ParticleMesh/Filename For editing purposes, best open the fil

After testing I ca confirm that this bug does not exist with supersampling. (to test, download nHancer and try one of the supersampling modes - though be warned, the performance and RAM hit is very high) So we must suspect this problem lies with NVidias implementation of multisampling as I've only heard complaints from NVidia users. @BellGoRing and PatMAXXX 8xQ is no supersampling mode. NVidia ceased support of SS for the series 8GPU some site ago. It can o

Same here Windows 7, NVidia GTS8800 640 MB, Core2duo, Sins, Entrenchment, Diplomacy. White dots in every setting involving AA. I think using a supersampling algorithm might get rid of the problem, but this would kill my performance. The problem is bad enough in vanilla, yet with any mod that really makes use of more detailled ships this problem is huge! Please dev, fix this.
You've got enthusiasm and that's how it all begins ... we're all on a learning curve here in some form or other ... we just didn't want another B5 mod fade and die-out ... as they did before ...for Sins. What skills we've had we've improved on and developed ... learning new ones when we've had to ... but we all started with enthusiasm and what you see now is that journey from that starting point ... So, just try to do what you can ... learn about what

Thanks for joining the forums because of our mod! As for the other mod, I think me and my teammates have looked around everywhere for informations and suggestions, but as for assets I prefer to have our own (mostly). If you have the desire to help us out, we can always use some texturers, sound engineers, particleeffect professionals, music artists, coders and modelers (well, probably we have already many modelers) What would be your profession?
