You've got the camera set up, right weaksid? /me meanwhile, will go and hide now.
kthxbye
I still like "Am Really Laughing Outloud"! ^_^
'til Tuesday - Voices Carry ! Man her voice was amazing.
Erm - been playing with your local security policies, weaksid? O.o
Couple of my old buddies from 'back in the day' from an mp3 history of their old lit group. Long title, wow.
Oy, sid! It's my last job! Way to perfectly capture it!
Now this is odd. It's 3.5 that gave me /tons/ of problems with Photoshop - but with 3.9, I haven't had a single one! O.o
$20 for a carton of cigarettes! I wish, WOM!
Cool - this means I can laugh at my roomie and not let him use my notebook to get anything done! Yay!
It's disabled in 3.9 or something like that, zman. I remember reading about it in the newsgroups... ... or else I'm totally off-base and remembering something else. *sighs*
Well, uhm... how about that World Cup last year? (Hey, at least it's sports-related. )
... and with the new Ph00eyBlinds 1.5 Custom Colour feature, you too can colour Ph00ey whatever colour you may desire! (Uhm... yes, I really am /that/ bored at the moment. ^_^)
Well zman - I only mention straying from the GeForce mobile chipset in favor of the Radeon mobile chipset because nVidia's drivers absolutely /blow/ when it comes to running WindowFX. Funny, actually - it used to be that nVidia had the great, wonderful drivers - and ATI's software engineers were smoking crack - but now, I /love/ my Catalyst drivers with the Radeon 8500 in my desktop - and with each release of the nVidia drivers, I merely cringe in fear. <A HREF="https://www.winc
Now this is a trend I could live with. ^_^
Oooh - either way, I got a hug out of the deal! Can't complain about -that-!
I just let one of my roomies install VS.NET on my notebook since his died and he had to get some work done here at the house - and he hasn't said anything about there being any weird activity or anything with me running the 3.9 alpha - he hasn't had a chance to use it too much yet though - but I'll have him keep an eye out - in case you don't get an answer sooner! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/
Because, while compliments are wonderful, wonderful (and rare!) things, I think that anger/etc. often illicents a stronger reaction from people, unfortunately. :/
Well said, SpaceAce! I know I feel largely the same way - I've bought the products (Windowblinds, then OD, and CursorXP and a Wincustomize subscription now.. gads!) but I've never contributed much content wise - just a few rambling posts but certainly no skins or anything! My own skills are certainly nowhere near those that you see posted on here. These guys (and gals!) deserve all the love and respect we can give for 'em for offering up their own creations for everybody, whether you'
At least it's a decent comment. ^_^ You get proprs from me simply for being able to skin ObjectBar - I never spent a lot of time figuring it out, but it always succeeded in confusing the heck out of me!
I go through largely the same routine, though after 'Install my skins' I add the wonderful step of: Ghost HD onto CD. ^_^
Nearly any laptop out there today will run it. Hell, mine is considered a 'low end' laptop now (it's -only- 1.8Ghz, horror.) Outside of the nVidia drivers not liking WindowFX (or specifically shadows + transitions turned on at the same time... or shadows and /anything/ actually,) it all runs great. But like I said - find one with one of the decent Radeon chipsets - and it's even better. ^_^ <img src="ht
I fell in love with their Gamecube skin - and now I'm in love again - with the Pikmin one. *sighs*
Oh - another note on notebooks. If you're going to be doing a lot of typing on it - I endore the Thinkpads even /more/. They have the best keyboards of any laptop I've ever used. I love my Toshiba - but I /hate/ the keyboard. When I'm doing lots of typing - I still bring down my old Thinkpad 600 (A 300Mhz PII!) because the keyboard on it is just /so/ sweet. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/sm
That's okay werewolf - you helped to save us all from future alien abduction!
Thinkpads are the greatest. If you're going to run WindowFX though - try to avoid a notebook running the GeForce Go chipset I'm discovering - try to find something with a Radeon chipset. I'm running a Toshiba notebook: 1.8Ghz Celeron, GeForce4 420 Go, 256MB Ram (wish I'd upgraded.. *sighs*) 30gig HD, CD-RW/DVD combo, etc. It's a sweet little machine, and I love it. The only thing I wish it had was the 1600x1200 display of my roomie's Dell - but mine was also about $2000 chea
