I saw this as well but when your ships are at the center of the plasma storm, it works. The problem is that it does not cover the full gravity well.

So I got to play both before they took my toys away! They should have just left the patch out there. We did not care. A new race for us to play with instead of just TEC! The Advent loyalist Titan seemed pathetic. But I did like the rebel Advent Titan. It had a pair was not afraid to show them. Bring back the Advent and .75 since you already opened that door and the reverse patch blew up a bunch of our installs and we had to redownload and install

Love the Advent. Was playing a big game with my friend. Quit for a while then we started again and were lucky enough to get 150mb new update which blew up both of our installs and therefore ruined the game we were in the middle of. Thanks alot. No more Advent.
Same here. Also happening with my buddy.
They are unlocked in todays patch update!
You can do this. Once you've explored a star's gravity well, click it to see what abilities it has just like one of your ships.
I am at the star and clicking in star gives name only.
Currently, the shield generator is great to hold off Novalith attacks. I have the upgraded shield generators and one Novalith shot only took down my planet by 450 health. Meager! Also I had a very large group of planet bombers attacking a shielded planet and while it took me an amount of time to kill them off, they did very little damage to the planet. As for the Deliverance Engine for the Advent, I like it. It is not a purely offensive weapon like the other su
I am into my 10th hour of playing a huge game with my buddy. Here are some more issues that we ran into: 1. My rebel titan does very little damage with Snipe. I have three levels of Snipe and Overcharge. It is supposed to do about 6000 points of damage. I get about 500-600. Horrible waste of tech and resources, at the moment. This happens when shooting at other Titans and at Cap ships. Probably normal ships as well, I was just noting thi
Reading all of this makes me wonder, have you played big games with the titans? My buddy and I have been playing a huge game, custom map I created with a total of 10 players. We are going on 10 hours of game play so far and still running. I have taken out many titans that have come my way. The key is to know where they are, cut them off, hit them with a fleet, preferrable in the presence of a starbase then move on. I could not even tell you how many titans
While at first this seemed cool, the longer I played, the more I did not like it. It basically pulls the player out from being attacked by pirates completely and with any excess fleet capacity, their ships spawn in till you have no more fleet capacity. This is bad in the sense that the player could loose all of their ships in a battle and in a short amount of time, have a fleet again that they did not have to pay for or produce. On the flip side, I destroyed an opponents f
I set my titan as the flagship for my fleet but then in combat, my fleet just seems to sit back and not attack. When I changed the flagship to a normal capital ship, it seemed to behave normally. I say seemed because it was more normal but I noticed that my did not seem to close and attack like in the original game.
I would suggest that once you get the tech, you have to send a diplomacy ship there and keep it there to enforce the peace. One thing I don't like now is once you have the tech, they are all friendly and I cannot colonize their planets that they have settled on.
After boarding and taking over some pirate ships at a planet then moving my fleet out, the galaxy map still showed a couple of pirate ships at the planet but there were none. I had some stuttering in a late game moving a large fleet, but not together. When I clicked on the command ship of the fleet and clicked on the destination again, the stuttering went away. They were moving to my star, I click to send fleet to star first. Then when the stuttering began, I clicked
Had a ship joining a fleet on the other side of a wormhole. As the joining ship had to cross where the wormhole was, it got stuck. I had to send it away from the wormhole then toward the waiting fleet.
Last night my buddy and I were playing Diplomacy and we both had issues with our fleets not following orders. For example, we both at one point told our fleet to retreat and mine started but then at some point before leaving they stopped and started to attack again. I lost two Caps because of this. My buddy had something similar happen to him. We also noticed that the pirates are uber powerful now. Not that it is a bad thing. They can be turned off.
That is good to know. I was trying to offer a mission to the pirates about that time. Wanted to try it out. Of course the did not like my 10000 offer to attack an AI planet! Greedy pirates. [e digicons]>:([/e]
Just my 2 cents, but I would love a Sins2!!! I will preorder now! [e digicons][/e]
I play the Advent and have noticed that the starbase will use its ability to render ships immobile, forgot the ability name, continuously even if no enemy ships are in the gravity well. Using up antimatter. Seems is used to only fire if enemy ships were present in the past. Is this by design?
Hi All, this is just a suggesting to the developers. I would love to see some more random map generators with varying numbers of stars, etc. Or better yet, a random map where you set the number of planets, stars, and players before launching the game. That would be cool. My friend and I love the unknown with random maps as opposed to the prebuilt ones. Just some thoughts for the devs. Thanks.
Has anyone noticed recently that in multiplayer, via ICO in my case with my friend, the game speed being set on normal, it starts off fast? At least double speed. I even tried to start off a game with it set to slowest and if did nothing. After a while, I noticed it went back to normal speed. My friend and I both tried to use the - key to slow the game down and it did nothing.
Just started a multiplayer game this morning on the new .95 Beta 3 build and my friend and I have a serious desync issue. At one planet, he saw the pirates attacking and I saw nothing though I had vision. Everything was normal. Also I saw pirates attacking one of his planets, we were allies, and he saw nothing. Will start using the dev .exe to try and help out.
An idea I would like to see added to SoaSE is the ability to move a starbase once it is established. It can be a researched ability and cost a certain amount to move. During the move, it cannot attack. Maybe it moves slowly. But sometimes, it is necessary to destroy a starbase and rebuild in new location in gravity well because it is not in the best location becuase of changes in allies, pirate attacks, etc. Just an idea... :)
Something I noticed when playing Diplomacy was that an allied ship entered my gravity well and I got the message that I was under attack even though they did not attack me and my ships did not attack back. Also, I have noticed that my Trancendia starbase will use its Mass Disorientation ability continuously even when there are no enemy ships around. I noticed this recently in Entrenchment also recently so I believe it is a core game issue. Ability should only activate when
